I havnt yet. Altho the structure scan video I made for the HDS series is pretty much the same thing. Has virtually all the same menus and functions the same way.

If you are talking about downloading waypoints to the unit from an SD card then yes they will share if you have the units networked together wirelessly.
Getting a scrolling white screen on sonar. Sonar worked first time out. Hook2 triple shot. Transducer in same position. Plugged in properly. Structure screen does scroll. Downscan is blue screen. Have done the soft restart. Thanks for any information.

I'm having the exact same problem, even though I'm updated to version 20.0.1, application 63.1.350 and the menu has 3in1 transducer selected and recognized. Now what?
Yes the most recent update should have the 3n1 transducer options listed for it in your transducer selection. Now to backdated the software technically isn't recommended in most situations. And the only way to get an older version if to get lucky and talk to someone at Lowrance that will be willing to send one to you. However, some updates are unable to be backdated because of the changes they makes to the system.
Just bought my first boat, bought the Lowrance Hook Reveal to make sure I don’t accidentally get in shallow water and don’t have the sonar showing up. Should I follow this video for the elite T 12 for my system too? If not please direct me to the video that will help me troubleshoot my problem. Thank you
Go back to that about screen and look and see what sonar version it shows. If it says 0.0.0 then you have a bad display. If it doesn't then it might be the transducer. The TI doesn't have multiple sonar sources so it should just read. Might also try the hard reset as well. I have a video that shows how to do that on the HDS or Hook2. Its the same regardless of the display. Same steps.
I just ran into this issue last weekend sonar version 0.0.0 i think my software version for my elite 7ti is 18.3 gonna try this out hopefully it works.
Oh no. If the sonar is version 0.0.0 that typically means there is an internal failure in the display. Thinking back I don't believe there was a way to correct that on your own. I think if you call Lowrance they might have a patch they can send you to resolve that issue.
@@BringBiggieBack If I can rememeber correctly, back when I worked at Lowrance, when we would run into the issue of the sonar being 0.0.0 originally we had to replace the display but im pretty sure they came out with a singular update to fix it designed for that specifically.
So my SD card came with the unit and it says cmap insight pro. Do I still install this update to this card or should I use a different one and put the map card back in when the update is finished
Another question....I recently had a new Ti2 installed at my dealer and I like it lots. However, I can't use the Lowrance Elite 5 at my bow at the same time as it causes interference on my new unit at the helm. I tried changing frequencies, but it renders my bow unit pretty much useless. Any thoughts about how to fix this?

Hi, I have the ti (not the ti2) but its doing the exact thing as this video. Tried the latest ti update but no luck. Any suggestions? I'm guessing the ti2 update will not work in the ti
You are correct in that the ti2 update will not work on the TI. Have you tried either of the resets just to make sure its not a glitch in the software? Also make sure yoir transducer is still clean and level. If it used to work and then it just completely stopped, chances are its a bad transducer. But it id always possible that it could be the display. Do u by chance have any extra transducers laying around that would fit it? Or a second unit to try on that transducer?

@@damonsprinkle3517 oh dang ok. I just talked to someone else with this same issue. If the sonar version is saying 0.0.0 and you already have the latest software update then definitely try the reset, keeping in mind that the hard reset will delete all your saved data so back it up to an SD card first but if the reset doesn't work, the unit will habe to be replaced. There is not a way that u yourself can fix that issue. Its an internal problem with the display. Iv seen quite a few TI and TI2 displays with that problem .
Ya its a pretty good display. Has most of the features of the HDS but is almost a 3rd of the cost. Altho im pretty sure Lowrance is going to come out with a newer version of it later this year. Prolly around Christmas. So if you can wait, you can either get the new version, or get the TI2 at a significant discount when the dealers try to get rid of their stock to make room for the newer model.
Night and Day Marine do you think if I got the lowrance elite ti2 7 now, it would be compatible for sending waypoints back and forth with the new one they are coming out with in the future?
@@ryanmanners9174 most likely it would be. Since the TI2 has built in wifi and communicates through that, I dont see why it wouldn't with the newer version.

@@ryanmanners9174 Well i can say that the Helix Mega down imaging is super clear and high res. But the TI2 has an easier to use user interface and will also do side imaging, not just down scan. So I feel like you get more out of the TI2.
@@stevebugmanduncan4145 no that is a mapping card and you do not want to do a software update with that. It's best to use a blank SD card. The boot up sequence may not recognize the .upd file that it takes for the update if mixed in with all the other mapping files.

I just mounted and installed my new 9 Elite Ti2 in my garage. I wifi downloaded the 20.0 update to a blank MSD card in the unit itself. I then tried running the simulator and couldn't get any thing showing on any of my sonar pages. Of course it was 6:PM in Wyoming and Lowrance support is closed for the weekend. I did tinker with the files for the simulator and got it working, I could practice on the settings for each sonar page. I also double checked and have an upgraded sonar listing of 5.6.9. I wanted to put it in the water today but I am showing the same grayed out listing of the AI 3 in 1. Without it being in the water and not on simulator, I get no picture painted on my sonar screen or chart movement that I can detect............I am hoping it will work on the water but hate making a 25 mile trip and devoting half a day just to see if it is working properly? I wondered if Mondo was successful with a reset and how he went about it in case I have the same problem? Maybe it's normal acting like this with no picture to paint out of water but I thought I would see the chart move even if sporadically? Any help or words of confidence it is acting normal and will work on the water? PS...... your video was priceless for downloading the update!!! Thank you.
The greyed out AI 3n1 means that it auto detected your transducer. When it does that, it will not allow you to change it. This is what it is supposed to do. When you are out of the water, it generally wont show anything. Especially if it's the first time hooking it up and it's never found a depth reading before. It sounds like everything is working as it should from your description.
No, if your hook2 isn't working then it'll be caused by a different issue. Do u know if your water temp was still reading or not? Usually with the hook2, if the sonar and structure stops entirely, first thing to do is make sure the transducer plug is pushed in all the way. There are three rings on the plug and u have to make sure all 3 of them are fully pushed into the bacm of the display.
Night and Day Marine water temp was still reading. I did get a notification that the transducer couldn’t be detected. Water temp still worked, and I could hear the transducer pinging when I tried to do some troubleshooting at home out of the water. Screen just showed all orange and even the simulator mode only showed an Orange screen
@@cmonCraig ohhh ok. Well if its all orange then you can try the hard reset but if that doesn't do it then chances are you will need to get either the transducer or display replaced. I honestly can't remember which one causes that specific issue.
Night and Day Marine wow that’s unfortunate. Its a new unit that I’ve used about 4 times. It’s now discontinued but it’s the perfect unit for my kayak. That would also mean the $100 I paid for install is totally wasted
@@cmonCraig ya i hate to be the beaer of bad news on that but the orange screen is not good. Tho I would try the reset first. You just turn the unit off, then press and hold the + and - buttons. Then press and release the power button to turn it on but continue to hold the + and - buttons till you hear it make a chirp sound.
When it says AI 3n1, is it grayed out and it qont let you go into the transducer type list at all? If so, that is technically what it's supposed to do. That means the XID transducer identification is functioning properly. Are you still not getting sonar?
I called lowrance and we were able to reset it. They think it is a bad mapping chip. I’m going fishing Friday to try it out without chip and then put chip in and see what happens. They really don’t want to send me new chip unless it does it again.

But like I said, if it says 3n1 but wont let you change it to anything else and its locked in on that, then it is doing what it's supposed to do. That's how XID works. Of course if your not getting any sonar still then that's a different issue. Have you gone to your About page and checked to see what your Sonar Version is? I would make sure it's not 0.0.0.

Mine allowed for me to select a1 transducer was working before I left house went to the lake and it wasn't working anymore will not show sonar on any screen and shows 00.00 for transducer what can I do it will not read the old transducer either
I would first try a soft reset on it by powering it off and then pressing and holding the pages and then pressing and releasing the power button. But continue to hold the pages button till it boots all the way up.
@@shayehupp1545 Did they have you check and make sure you have the latest software version? Or try the reset? A lot of times they will have units sent in before all trouble shooting has been completed. Did you check the sonar version in the "About" menu and make sure it doesn't say veraion 0.0.0?

No that's a different issue with the Hook Reveal. Do you get a message that says the transducer is not detected?

Yes, remove any SD cards before you do a soft or hard reset.

Don't use the mapping card for the update. I definitely recommend using a seperate blank SD card when doing your software updates.

The Elite5, is it an older Elite5? The non touch screen version?
One thing you can try is to increase the noise rejection. That will help clear noise interference.

I suppose it could be because the Ti2 uses chirp sonar and the HDS gen2T did not. Tho usually the chirp sonar helps with interference.
My screen will not allow me to hit transducer type. So now what are my options? I’m using a Ghost trolling motor.
What software version are you running and does it have a transducer type listed and is grayed out? If so what type does it list?

The chip I have is called Lake Pro can I down load it on to that ? And yes it’s doing same thing as you went over 👍

No sonar or structure and I have no computer and my unit has no card but it worked fine until today

Just got off with lowrance and they said it is hardware and I have to send it back to get it replaced i have only had this unit for 2 weeks.

@@shayehupp1545 Did they have you check and make sure you have the latest software version? Or try the reset? A lot of times they will have units sent in before all trouble shooting has been completed. Did you check the sonar version in the "About" menu and make sure it doesn't say veraion 0.0.0?
