I first saw them (1st of many times) at the first ever MONSTERS OF ROCK FESTIVAL at castle donnington,donnington park(a race-track) they were 2nd on the line-up(the bill) to richie blackmore's rainbow(the slightly poppy version,2 years AFTER the late great R.J.D. had left=for musical "difficulties/differences") and graham bonnet was now the singer) and THEN it was just a 1 day festival-on a sunday=It was,like i said,at donnington park-a massive field in the middle of nowhere which is in STAFFORD,in the midlands in the heart of ENGLAND. There must have been 100,OOO people there (mostly hells angells,greasers,bikers metalheads(me) and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! IT WAS F*****G BRILLIANT and "THE PRIEST" absolutely "STOLE THE SHOW". I was 17 and i'll never ever forget it!! Fast-forward 42 years and they're STILL KICKING IT!! on stage!! Age is "in the head" its just a number!! After that I hate this band because I felt cheated. I talked to people who were at that event and they told me the same thing. Now I only listen to the old albums. Also after reading a few interviews with Bruce (and Rob have same problem) I see that modesty is not his strong point. The years go by and his voice loses its strength. Remember this is only my opinion.

My story. When 18 met a nice girl, she was catholic. One Sunday I went to church with her and that very day the priest had a speech how to spot devil worshiper saying they have long hair, dress in black and listening to heavy metal. Can you imagine the look I received from the audience of this clown? Somehow best memory of my youth, I was the perfect match.
@@maxsyruj5872- Am a Catholic now, and there is widespread recognition within the church these days that from roughly the 60's thru the 90's the church really faltered in how they were teaching and reaching iut to the youth, and lost a good chunk of them as a result. I think within the context of Metal music (not to mention popular music in general) the real unfortunate aspect of it is that there's nothing Satanic or demonic about the actual music of Metal, the frequencies / BPM etc., it's all the behaviour and lyrics which are truly the least important part, which every metal fan recognizes when they try and get non-metalheads to like it... "just listen to the music". Personally, I think a lot of Christian metal bands are trash because they also think the lyrics are the most important aspect and that they have to overcompensate and praise the Lord in every verse.

I've been blessed to see Judas Priest twice. My dad introduce me to them when I was ten years old ( he passed away in 2017) they were the first band and concert I saw and my god, am I honored for that. I got to see them again this year in may, and they were fantastic.
Man watching Glenn kinda struggle made me kinda sad. As he was a huge part in this band. As well as KK, and now Richie Faulkner. There will always be members that were originals. But there will always be someone who will bring a different life of the band.

I bought my first Priest album when I was about 10 years old, it was "Sin after Sin", I got the record at a market for used things for two german d-marks together with Sabbaths "Paranoid", since then I've been Judas Priest/Heavy Metal infected ! My first Priest concert (it was my first concert at all) was 1983, got the ticket from my parents and my dad took me and two friends there and waited for us outside to took us back home, it was the crazy famous Heavy Metal night in Dortmund/Westfalenhalle, along with other metal heroes, I was 13 or 14 years old and from there I go completely Metal berserk ! Now I am 53 and I still bang my head to Priest......... .....Heavy Metal is the law and long live Judas Priest 🤘🤘
Halford’s energy is amazing! His vocal performance is better than the record and KK’s tone and solo are unreal. Glad to see they’re still killing it and still giving it their all even in their 70s
I love how rob kicked it up for this performance it’s refreshing to see older bands who still fire it up for big gigs He didn’t speed through the flow of the songs or skip the chorus like he’s done in recent years .
