Hoping to get out next week for a few days as allowed back out from the 4th. That nice house on the hill is or was Kiera Knightley's place, not sure if she still owns it though. Our middle son has moved too Rowhedge right on the waterfront, lovely place.

Sam do you sail often in the Orwell. I am thinking of bringing my 22 down from Lincs coast😊

Ha.. You missed out on not waiting for the tide to Rowhedge.. with only a 4ft draft you could have had a couple of hours along side!..
You should have also had enough water along side the jetty (By my Smack.. Our Boys)..
I also have a Hurley 22r up my sleeve. It was such a bargain price that I could not say ' No'...
Mint condition with a brand new Yanmar diesel.. Wooden decks and in mast reefing mainsail..!
    £1500... Buttons!

Hello Sam, just bought a Hurley 22, could you please go through what electrical/navigational equipment you have on your boat. Thanks Jim

Hi Jim, congrats on your H22 purchase. I've kept things reasonably simple onboard in terms of electrical nav equipment. Handheld GPS, depth sounder VHF radio. Nav lights deck and mast. I am considering installing an Echo max radar target enhancer in the near future. Thanks for watching. Sam

@@samsails9820 thanks for your reply. The boat came with a lowrance HDS 5m and a clipper duet. The clipper duet is faulty and I think had water damage, so il probably buy another box as the paddle wheel and depth instrument is installed. The lowrance I'm not sure on. The screen is very small and I might sell and get navionics on my Samsung tablet. I have a radio and usual lights. Not sure on the lowrance though? What solar panel have you got and how quickly does it recharge your battery? Jim

@@JR-fd8eq I have a 40W panel and never had a flat battery with the loads I have. There is some charge from my outboard engine which has an inbuilt alternator. However most of the time the charge comes from the panel.
