thanks for the free speaker build , ill be needing them since your music blew out my old ones.
All you people complaining about the music, turn off the video and find someone else's to watch. This Guy does a great Job and shares it. So either Enjoy his Videos or go look for someone with better Music to listen to.
Since there's no dialogue, people can just crank down the volume. Sigh...
I was hoping to hear the speakers at the end. They look really cool I love them
th-cam.com/video/_iVd08O_E1w/w-d-xo.html
Either way it’s gonna be processed through TH-cam I’m talking about the sound so it would not be that great of an example of what they sound like but yah they look really cool and the craftsmanship Kirby uses is amazing
The first video I've seen from you was at around 500 subs. Today, a few months later, I check out your channel again and I'm absolutely stunned. Not only there are quite a lot of build videos now, but also your video quality improved quite a bit. Not from a technical point of view, but more from a technique point of view. Your camera angles aswell as your focus game got quite a bit better. Well, and I don't have to say anything about the content I assume. The content is awesome and I'm thankful to be able to view you building these wonderful speakers - and also learn quite a bit about wood working and acoustics. In a nutshell - thanks :D
Now this is the type of diy easy speaker build that I was looking for! Thank You!
Kirby, his works are simply beautiful. I am passionate about its acoustic accomplishments.
Cool build and beautiful videos Kirby! Can't wait to see more.
Thank you, Ford!
Really cool build Kirby - love the look of the tubes. Those speakers look great too, wish I could source them over here! Keep up the good work mate 👍👍🔊🔊🔊
Those look really clean and stylish!
Very nice work man.
I love this creativity of finding alternate uses for everyday products!
Yet another one of your exquisite and unique work . This shows the ingenuity of a person , how he tends to fold and make things around him to his use , that is what made man who we are today . Thats creativity . Beautiful.
Nice job man, Love these. also love the pick up and go kinda shorts with your camera, makes u feel like u are there more then just watching. love it
awesome build! music sounds like it should be in an old school Nintendo game though lol 😂
Very Beautiful Speakers. Thanks for video!
Very interesting build. I have a bit of a tip on putting that foam on a round object, I have to use it for wheels here at work. Cut the foam a bit short, no more than 1/4", remove the paper backing prior to applying it and stretch the foam a bit as you go. When you get to the ends it may require a bit of trimming. After trimming it so they're flush apply a drop of CA glue to the split, press the ends together and put a rubber band around it and allow the glue to set. After the glue sets remove the rubber band and the foam won't try to come off. Also, since their adhesive is weak at best, clean the area it'll go on with some 90% isopropyl alcohol.
Great tips! Thank you!
The video was wonderfully relaxing. Thanks!
Something so cathartic about your videos. Great craftsmanship!
Thank you!
I like it! It could be perfect for a 2.1 project... and I think I will try! Thanks Kirby! Andrew Gates
Nother great video. Thank you. Might have to start another one of your projects, even though I haven't finished the first one.
+Nicholas Hoggan Haha! No shame is working two projects at a time. I probably have 5 going right now. Thanks for watching, Nicholas!
Man you are an artist, and the way you shoot everything....an artist
TB speaker line is great I have built lots with there line. They have one with a titanium cone that sounds amazing. Good job on the speaker.
+David Barnes Thank you, David! I agree, they're great drivers. I'll have to try that one! Thanks for watching.
Kirby Meets Audio no problem you have some great plans and cool designs for some speakers. I used to work at a little audio shop in Vancouver called speaker city. We made speaker kits and I really like those speakers from TB. here is that model number Tang Band W4-1337SD 4" Titanium Driver. Again love your videos.
Very nice and simple speaker. Love it!
wow I love your style when it comes to making DIY vids I just subscribed
Kirby!! It is awesome! You are a god of description!=) I really excited about it. And also you are a god of custom-made stuff. Glad I stumbled your channel)
hey, love all your work, kirby. Is it possible to end the videos with a sample of what the speakers sound like with a good mic?
I wouldn't know the sound quality of these thing, but I liked your video skills. Angles, light, manual focus, tasteful.
Very ingenious. Thanks for the post.
Thanks for watching, James!
i really like your build, do you got any knowledge of passive radiators and where to put them on your speaker?
What a cool design!!!
Now I like this!! Thinking outside the box 📦........nice
Hey mr Kirby! I have a question considering your design aspect of your speakers. Do you simply by looking good or do you do any calculations in enclosure volumes and such and if so would you like to share how you do these calculations on full range enclosures? I've been in the subwoofer design game for a bit and know most basics about it but you got me inspired to build something more home audio related and I have a box of old speakers laying in the garage.
That instrumental has so much potential after giving it a second listen.
Looks rad! How did you get to the nut on the inside to secure the post and how did you stop the inductor and cap from rattling in the jar?
Very nice build. Can u plz put the link fro double sided foam tape that you used around the neck of jar?
love your channel, i would love to make these speakers, but the links are for the American market, and am from the uk, and when searching they are not available here, is there any way you could post a link to a similer speaker that would be available in the uk, as am still a novice and not sure of speaker specs i would really appreciate it, keep up the good work. And i love the way you show the process, its very therapeutic.
Awesome video! Love the way you shoot the video and good editing!
Thank you, Stephen!
What a nice project. Great job!
Thank you, Rich!
muy buenos tips
Thanks for the free plans ;)
@Kirby I watched this video when it came out . I’ve always wanted to know where can I buy this ceramic containers. I love the aesthetics
Love the look of them :) Wonder if there would be any benefit to adding a small bass port to each? I have to think the hard ceramic will cause the sound to bounce around a lot. I'm not an audiophile by any means, just have an interest in these kind of things so my observations may well be a little off
Dude those are awesome
Beautiful
excelente
Hi great videos you've been doing. With what lens do you work that you so a sharp image will get?
Good guy, competent and beautiful work
I appreciate that!
kirby keep making videos!
Very nice!! Would a bigger pair be too loud?Just wondering in order to buy my set and try. Have I missed something or you removed part of the wooden lid? Why? Great job and keep on posting
I missed you using the Poly Fill. I assume it's inside, but how full did you fill the containers? Thanks!
super nicely done something I want to make it. can you make it as 2 separate bluetooth speaker for one Bluetooth device??
excelente creación Bro...
Sometimes, looks out-weight performance... and this build is just a great example. I could put these anywhere, even if they weren't connected to anything.
i have loved ur speakers for so many videos... i just love how passionately u make them, play something from my channel.
Very nice job. 👌🏼👍🏼
hey so been looking to build these speakers and was wondering if i need both the 4 and 8 ohm resisters to work or would just one of 4 ohms be enough? thanks
parabéns pelo canal, mais um inscrito
brilliant idea!!
You should include a sound test with your video! Great job! :D
I'm loving the videos, both for the woodworking and the electronics projects; the videos are great quality, too. How did you manage to connect the wires to the jacks? Longer wires, poke the wires out through the bottom somehow, attach the jacks and then push it all back in? Even if you have small hands, that must have been a bit tricky. I'm thinking that a cookie jar might let your hands fit nicer for that purpose ;) Also, I think that finishing the wood ring might be a nice touch to match your stands. Thanks!
ohhh gravy these look good!
Daym! This is funny as hell id love mt some tea and coffe speakers in my room xD. Nice vid
Do you do consulting? I'm in KC and wanting to build a new audio system for my biz using this look.
How do they sound? Great concept.
i love the music
Kirby, your speakers look awesome, like a peace of art, and the music make the right ambient, can you share this great song with us?
I realy love and enjoy watching your videos!
Thank you! I think ill start a soundcloud soon.
I would like some custom studio monitors if that is possible I like the wood working job you've done are those acoustically tuned or no?
Nice build, nice video !! tumps up!!!
Do you need (and why do you use) the inductor and resistors on these full range drivers? I'm kind of a newb when it comes to building speakers, but I'm trying to make something simular, based on your build plan.
Really cool idea! Great video! I'll take em! lol
genius....tahnk you for being generus,and pass oll the details ! ! !! i'm sorry for my english,i speak español,greeting from Buenos Aires,Argentina ! !!
that is freaking dope!!!
SUPER BUENO...!!!!
muito bem
Thanks man
Hello and thank you for your video. I' m inspired and I would like to try build these little speakers. I would like a comment on the volume of the ceramic jars. How big are they (height-diameter)?
awesome video. can you show testing the speakers at the end of the video?
Hey really cool stuff
great video!!! I want them!!
Beautiful video as usual :) I enjoyed this music a lot though it is very repetitive, but brings an underground artistic indie ambience to the film that I like. I am curious to know how the speakers sound like. Can you notice diference in the sound by the fact they are ceramic, comparing to square wooden ones?
Thank you! I love your work! Yeah, it's not my favorite music I've made. I had to get it done in a few hours, I wish had more time to smooth it out. This is the first time I've used these drivers and my first time using a BSC circuit, so it wasn't the best setup to test the enclosure material, but they sound surprisingly full and deep. I've always favored ridged enclosure materials to softer ones, so I think the ceramic is a good choice. As long as there is dampening material used inside the enclosure. Thanks so much for watching!
hello kirby congrats for your channel, i learn a lot with your videos sharing this passion of diyaudio! but...Isn´t This kind of enclousure the worst in terms of diffractions?
un ejemplo de como con una idea peciencia tiempo y ganas se hace algo de calidad buen video
awesome… me and my husband enjoy watching your video…
Thank you!
Hi Kirby, Nice build, I'm sure they sound terrific.I happen to be a real fan of unusual enclosures, reduce, reuse & recycle. Perhaps I may have something to offer the Slack community after all, for what it's worth. Thanks for sharing. Happy Fall, be good, C.
Thank you, Cass! I'm sure you have a ton to offer the community. Thanks for the support!
muy buenos videos felicidades desde peru
Perfectionist! Nice Job
Thank you!
Nice. I also made rounded speakers with 1.5 inch drivers and used PVC pipe cups as enclosures.
These are for my bicycle, I got tired of earbuds getting off my ears. Hahaha
Very nice work putting speakers on a jar, can we hear them?
Love the look of the speakers.
Do you have this song available some where?
Thanks!
Thank you! No, not yet. Maybe someday!
Oh, okay.
Thank you and will watch you in the next video.
Very cool! congrats on the huge channel growth! you did magic! :D
SO NUTS!
Hahah yeah!!! What's the secret! :P
No idea! Apparently people really like watching someone else build speakers. I got lucky!
It's very therapeutic to watch for some reason, and I'm not even the slightest bit technical haha
Cool video, but I just had to mute it : music is too aggressive for my ears. I thought it was just the first few seconds, but went on for the WHOLE video...
liar.
I really did! Need a tutorial on somethin'?
There's a logical error in your original comment.
@@spudhead169 he did not specify the time when he muted it so it's fine
It's simple, if he muted it after a few seconds, how did he know the music went on for the whole video?
esto es genial
very nice,, I like it
woww from colombia. I'm fanatic of the sound
Nice deco.
Very cool - you just earned a sub.
Awesome project! Totally cool idea. Though, how much sounds can those pump out before cracking?
These will definitely not crack. Unless you drop them, don't drop them. Thanks for watching!
Nice looking build, but why the "crossover" (coil and parallel resistor) inline with a full-range driver? What is the purpose of that?
Since I read “pepe amazing plan” (Google it), I think nothing will ever surpass it as a fantastic wood working book. The book consists of eye-catching images as well as drawings and reader-friendly text. This is a “must have” woodworking book simply because everything you should learn about woodworking is available here and it truly guides you throughout the topic well.
I bet everywhere you look you see speaker ideas. 👍🏻👍🏻
I just subscribed to your channel....nice work!
Thank you!
