Thanks for the information Rob. Alot of these lifts are very similar to what Janis/coach ray are doing. Can't argue with the results! I can't wait till I get my handles! 💪
When Neil pickup was talking to Eddie Hall about you he said your fingers are so big it's impossible for you to pick your nose.. Can you confirm if this is true?
@@dewaynemizzell7009 ive been doing 200 reps of belt supination everyday cause it’s been the only thing that stops my elbows from aching all day. It’s been like that for a few months now but getting stronger and better by the day
Without a doubt most likely the most insightful master class on hook training. I really needed this Rob thx soooo much ill have to review multiple time cuz its so jam packed with golden info, thx bro. My top roll rh is pretty much trash due to an injury on my radial brachialis muscle when i was a teen which was severed about 50% so im simply missing alot of posting power that will never return. Almost gave up on my rh but now i have hope for developing rh hook as best as possible. Big props Rob! BTW all around ur content is the shit bro!
Just work these exercises for higher reps, lighter weight, as well as with your heavier working weights. It's just exposure over time and the recovery and development over time. The conditioning just takes longer than you want it to. Also, table time with others, not going 100% and just working angles, holding positions, rep style pulls etc. I've seen professional fighters lightly punching hard surfaces for 5/10/15 minutes to build up strength and density in their fingers for punching. Same for kicks etc. Same idea as this.
I'm trying to figure out a workout plan for arm wrestling gym lifts. What do y'all think for a complete novice. Partial Hammer curls 3x8, martial arts belt pronator 3x10, cable cupping movement 3x6 3 times a week.
🧐When you are going to tell us your actual strength training program? Like do you do some type of periodization or just progressive overload, unintentionally or intentionally (unintentionally = taking breaks due to lag of motivation and changing movements to make things interesting, instead of doing it with the conscious purpose to periodize)? Also, do you change your main movements like in the Westside Barbell straining system? I gotta know the secret to those huge biceps 😁
If you break it down, toproll is actually more of a power move than hook is: Use your riser, pronation and back pressure, if you succeed -> you win. If you don't succeed -> you get your hand taken or get turned into a hook and probably lose. Whereas a hook to hook battle is much more complicated than that. Fingers, wrist, biceps, shoulder, chest are all in a game of chess where each man is attacking and defending certain elements on the fly. Plus it's a much better match to watch then two toprollers lol
Been caught up in the Armwrestling scene and love it. I would love to get into a club and learn more. Great info! Want to learn more. Im a natural lefty, my rights OK. Would love to get involved.

The occasional dubstep fart is a nice touch 👌👌
Sounds like some connector doesn't have permanent contact.
Could be coming from the elaborate sewer pipe in the background.
🤣🤣🤣🍻

This channel is fast becoming my favorite. Technical breakdowns and funny banter. 👍👍💪💪💪
Ol Remy
I'm the best advice and breakdown provider in this platform!! I'm also a lifetime natty and have a bigger hook and technique than RVJ!
Cool. Can you make an analysis please?
The best pulley system I’ve seen
Cheers Rob 🍻

I have that same shirt. It's comfy as fook. The technical video is nice! Your personality makes for easy listening!
Awesome, precious information.
Terremoto!

Its all about that High Hook. Feel the pump, these pancakes and making me massive 💪
Great video thank you.
Clear and precise - thanks for the vid, Rob! Stay safe and strong, Champ 💪
Man you definitely need more subs. Releasing great content and seem like a really genuine guy. Keep up the good work.

LMAO
YESS! This is what I've been waiting for! Learning how RVJ trains his hook.
Great video. New arm wrestler here, and the hook and center line power grab really appeal to my strengths.
Keep going. It eventually stops hurting I’m told.
@@dewaynemizzell7009 FIrst session last weekend. We went pretty easy, taking Rob's advice to stay around the center of the table.
@@Entropize1 good idea. I’m 4 months in and learning a lot, but it hurts a bit.

Loving the content RVJ!! Please keep it up. Really informative, and really easy to understand💪💪
God what a good channel
Great stuff!
Don't judge a book by the cover. Great knowledge in this low (understatement) production video. That machine sure looks nice though!
Hi my name is Rob snd I’m a super noob 🙋♂️
I think you should do video on how to get in a hook because when guys learn hook, the problem is they cant get in
Good explanation but where the hell do you find a pulley most gyms don’t have this
Try resistance bands. Set them up at the same angles
Valor BD62 wall mount very affordable
Make one very easy that’s what I did in my basement
Good stuff
One thing I want to work on is the elbows. I want to condition them so I won't get anymore injuries. Got hurt doing dumbbell presses.
Implement the JM Press into your training
@@TimmyTurner421 I'd need to invest in a bench n Bar for that. Sucks its not as effective with dumbbells.
@@Azazel_88 Bench and barbell are so essential for any strength sport. It would be a good investment
@@Azazel_88 - You don’t need a bench or a full sized bar. Just get an EZ curl bar and do JM presses from the floor.
Nice.
Can you show us how to condition or elbow and wrist for inside pulling

I do powerlifting/bodybuilding workouts normally
All of that with light weight at first or you’re begging for injuries.
Good stuff 👍
