    Without a doubt most likely the most insightful master class on hook training. I really needed this Rob thx soooo much ill have to review multiple time cuz its so jam packed with golden info, thx bro. My top roll rh is pretty much trash due to an injury on my radial brachialis muscle when i was a teen which was severed about 50% so im simply missing alot of posting power that will never return. Almost gave up on my rh but now i have hope for developing rh hook as best as possible. Big props Rob! BTW all around ur content is the shit bro!

    Can you show us how to condition or elbow and wrist for inside pulling

    • @RDS_Armwrestling
      @RDS_Armwrestling 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just work these exercises for higher reps, lighter weight, as well as with your heavier working weights. It's just exposure over time and the recovery and development over time. The conditioning just takes longer than you want it to. Also, table time with others, not going 100% and just working angles, holding positions, rep style pulls etc. I've seen professional fighters lightly punching hard surfaces for 5/10/15 minutes to build up strength and density in their fingers for punching. Same for kicks etc. Same idea as this.

    🧐When you are going to tell us your actual strength training program? Like do you do some type of periodization or just progressive overload, unintentionally or intentionally (unintentionally = taking breaks due to lag of motivation and changing movements to make things interesting, instead of doing it with the conscious purpose to periodize)? Also, do you change your main movements like in the Westside Barbell straining system? I gotta know the secret to those huge biceps 😁

  • @HyakuJuu01300
    @HyakuJuu01300 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you break it down, toproll is actually more of a power move than hook is: Use your riser, pronation and back pressure, if you succeed -> you win. If you don't succeed -> you get your hand taken or get turned into a hook and probably lose.
    Whereas a hook to hook battle is much more complicated than that. Fingers, wrist, biceps, shoulder, chest are all in a game of chess where each man is attacking and defending certain elements on the fly.
    Plus it's a much better match to watch then two toprollers lol
