MIJ Fenders are innovative and very high quality - equal or better than Made in USA. I have 3 different models from Fender Japan and they are fantastic.
It’s not unfortunately, it’s by design. Manufacturers intentionally don’t cut the nut so that the purchaser can have it cut to their liking and string gauge. Just get your new guitars set up by your local luthier and then you’ll be happy…
Those cleans sound really excellent, especially in positions involving what sounds to me like one of the better middle pickups I've heard in a strat. Shockingly articulate and clear.
Burn my bagel please , really !?...YES ! I like them thar sandblasted guitars , especially the Telecaster all blacked out , the Strat is decent too , sounds great ! Thanks Trogly !
I have a TE1000 Black Blast from LTD that you showed a quick glimpse of. It's actually been discontinued recently, and when the remaining stock is sold. That's all she wrote! It's an outstanding guitar, with specs that can't be very profitable to include in many models? I've yet to find another normal production guitar with the same specs. All the new 1000 series models have increased in price a minimum of $100 dollars. I highly recommend anyone who hasn't experienced this unique finish. To get their hands on one before they're all gone. Peace!
Not a fan of the look but the cool thing about sand blasting is it gives your guitar a unique fingerprint so you can identify it if it gets stolen unlike some solid color guitar that they make 1000s of.
I sold a guitar and 10 years later I got nostalgic about it and looked on ebay, and after comparing the grain patterns with pictures of mine - realized it WAS my old guitar. I bought it again and still have it.
This such a cool finish. I don't need a new electric guitar anytime soon but if I was in the market, I'd certainly consider one these finishes assuming the pickup layout met what I was looking for.
It's a very nice guitar. The wicked low string tree triggers me lol. I picked up a Used Charvel San dimas black/green sandblast. BF blowout. sub 700 usd.
I think Riley was an 'unlucky' character in the show, in that many fans couldn't stand him, somewhat unfairly really, but he was never gonna replace Angel or even Spike as far as fans were concerned in relation to Buffy. Some very interesting dialogue in this episode where everyone is speaking truth and it isn't what they want to hear. Buffy is of course feeling betrayed that Riley is getting satisfaction away from her, it suits Spike to tell her this as he is now infatuated with her. I think we can see Xander's character having grown so much where he has gone from sex mad teenager to philosophical adult, giving great advice all round, proving how the he has matured over the Seasons.
The posts are basically like the staggered poles of the 70's pickups... probably any era w/ staggered poles, but I can only confirm 70's because I own a '72.
Personally, these are by far the worst type of locking tuners, I'd much rather have the Fender vintage style than these.. Best goes to the big thumbwheel ones from Gotoh and 2nd goes to Schaller.
S5 was so hard hitting, another brilliant episode showing the real anguish and anxiety when a parent becomes ill, and the trauma of having to deal with it for the children. Even though we know Buffy is strong she breaks down doing the washing up, and cries her eyes out, great acting. Again we see Dawn being the focus of strange reactions to her which is really worrying her now, and also we see Spike's obsession with Buffy becoming stronger, and Ben of course isn't what he seems. The Queller demon was one of the worst in the series . Another really good episode from S5. Listening To Fear strangely scores a low IMDB score of only 7.0, I think it is much better than that.
Nice finish, but I don't get why Fender doesn't even try to match the grain. It looks like they glued some leftover slabs together, like some cheap Chinese budget brand would do.
He has to get the guitars from Japan, and they’re not for export, so the s/n is covered so they don’t track it back to the person in Japan who is buying them.
Thats the problem with multipiece body sandblasted guitars, this one isnt terrible, isnt perfect. I wouldnt risk buying a sandblasted guitar I havent seen, many look horrendous.
Such a nice guitar that Fender wraps in a glorified sock. They have good soft cases too! I don’t get why they send these wet noodle “cases” from Japan on everything almost.
Fenders are more ergonomic, versatile, and modular. They are a working man's guitar at least the cheaper import models. Gibsons are more akin to womans handbags, less pratical and more expensive but show your wealth.
@@banditkeithkingofduelmonsters The most important thing is that they sound better. That's why all of the greatest guitarists of all time favored them.
i love that people are willing to have their guitars on for the show. love seeing different models on the channel
Who doesn't love a good piece of Ash!!??
MIJ Fenders are innovative and very high quality - equal or better than Made in USA. I have 3 different models from Fender Japan and they are fantastic.
I've had High End Fender's from Japan and the USA. I prefer the Japanese hands down.
Good looking guitar. That grain is awesome. Glad we got to check it out!
That is a really nice Strat. My son has a Fender Limited Edition Sandblasted Precision Bass from 2014 in a red/black finish.
That’s the best looking Strat I’ve ever seen
No u
@Trogly are you ready for the episode with all your guitars this year? i'm really excited about😁
Love fender Japan
Nice grain, you can see it well. It's nice and not too shabby. Thanx, Trogly. Someone @ Fender has their # together.
nice to see another Fender on here. And this one look just wow...
fender should make more colored headstocks they look WAYYY better than normal ones

Nice observation. Both my 62 Strat and my 57 Strat B string pickup pole pieces are recessed as well....
I love the Japanese stuff from fender. That's said idk if it's just me but as a guy with a small store I find it SOOO hard to sell them
Those cleans sound really excellent, especially in positions involving what sounds to me like one of the better middle pickups I've heard in a strat. Shockingly articulate and clear.
Nice to see you reviewing a Fender Stratocaster. I don’t watch your boring Les Paul videos anymore.
He'll yes Trogly! Show the Strats some Love!
nice

Fender USA did the sandblasted with the large 70's headstock a few years ago.
I do like those pickups!!

Im grateful for early Trogly ❤️ was having a good day now its great
Like that one
really quite a nice looking strat
That's a handsome guitar❤, almost a mirror image to my 2012 Rustic Ash Olympic white😊. Thanks Cheers choice stuff 👍
Good Vids
I’ve always thought the sandblasted look is gross. Would Eddie Van Halen have played a sandblasted ash body?!
NO SIR! I think NOT!
lol he played on a factory 2nd body that he spray painted with krylon
And an Ibanez Destroyer… That he promptly made “better.” 😂
David Lee Roth wore a$sless chaps live & ran around doing splits & high kicks…🫢
It's a very nice guitar.
The wicked low string tree triggers me lol.

Those are staggered pole piece pickups. I’m also pretty sure Gotoh made the tuners.
Matching headstocks should be mandatory on ALL guitars.

Actually, those locking tuners are the best! If you played real guitars, instead of Gibson junk, you would understand!

Fender Japan > Fender America
How does my 91 Stratocaster stay in tune
not well
@thehark6247 I very seldom have to tune it. It stays tuned for weeks at a time.
Because it’s from the nineties…🎸
Nice finish, but I don't get why Fender doesn't even try to match the grain. It looks like they glued some leftover slabs together, like some cheap Chinese budget brand would do.
Reminds me of the gibson voodoo series
✌️
12:54 Trogly like the Juicy Neck! Everyone has to take a drink!!
At first glance, it looks kind of cool. On closer look though, it looks like a plastic fake woodgrain product like Trex decking.
Early you say?
Why do you hide the serial number
because he doesn't know the buyer's wishes. it's not trog's guitar.
He has to get the guitars from Japan, and they’re not for export, so the s/n is covered so they don’t track it back to the person in Japan who is buying them.
Man trog, id kove to buy a guitar from you. I love guitars but cant afford a nice one.
Fenders sound like toys
I would have to pass on this one but if it had a one piece body I would consider it.
Everybody doing the Novo thing lately...
I get that they are both painted black , but that is NOT a matching headstock
seen sandblasting work, I am guessing gentle sandblasting lol
i am talking on cars to strip paint lol

:o)

Oh….and how long have you clinically blind anyway?
@ckelly5141 they suck and outside of maybe 2 models they dont need to exist
@@Madakalim Probably too attached to G headstock breaks I guess?

I'll never understand why anyone would buy a fender. They are sooo ugly and don't sound anywhere near as good as a Gibson.
Seriously? Gibson sucks!

As a Gibson man, you might not want to hear this Trogmaster. But that strat looks perfect on you.
