In my opinion, Alex is the best thing that has happening to Trivium! Even though I've loved majority of their stuff, it just feels like he was that key element to completing them. They are all killing it here!!
Best example for this is probably The Phalanx. Was written during the Shogun Era, couldn't really figure out what to Do with the middle Part of the Song and with Alex they could write a sick instrumental section (New Ideas over the years Sure helped too) Doubt something like this could've been written with Travis, since he wasn't as creative with his drumming

I got to see these guys in St. Louis last week with white chapel, and they are amazing. If you ever get the chance I highly highly recommend doing so. One of the best live acts today.
I saw Trivium for the first (and so far only) time back in 2018 in Warsaw. I always wanted to go to their show again. Now, after this video, I NEED to go to another Trivium show!
Everyone talks about how lucky they are to have alex (which they're right about obviously) but they're so blessed to have a guitarist as sick as corey in the band. Best guitarist in metal IMO.
What's crazy is Matt can pull off most of the same shit, LIVE Not to mention Paulo, now you've got 4 god tier musicians together and your bound to get absolute heaven on the stage

Matt actually streams every concert for free on his Twitch Channel 😁 Sure, the camera work isn't like that, because it's obviously a stationary one at the edge of the stage but it's awesome as hell.

As a guitar player with a spine injury, I must know what the deal with that strap setup is! Is that for extra support? How is it, if so? My bass is painful to wield, so I'm always looking for a new solution to the problem. Throwing in the towel is not an option.
