Saw Trivium on the current tour and they didn't play this song at any of the shows including the one I attended. I honestly am disappointed. Not only that, but they played mostly radio friendly songs. only 2 songs from court of the dragon which were no way back and feast of fire
It's insane how much creative energy Alex unlocked within the band once he joined. I've never seen a band improve so much and sound so incredible 20 years into their career, and Trivium are still only getting started!
It was the missing piece since travis left, they never sounded all that sure of themselves when they were cycling through drummers. This guy has been the key. Incredible player.
Paolo background vocals/harmonies are better than ever. How Matt and Corey and can play the songs on this album and sing at the same time is phenomenal. Alex just makes drumming look so easy while sounding like a maestro.
Love how much Paolo's backing vocals bring to the show!! The range between all 3 of them is nuts giving these sick harmonies throughout the setlist.... Now let's just get Alex a mic so we can get some pig squeals lmfao.
I've been a fan since this Ascendancy days, been to multiple shows. To see this band so strong after some of the ups and downs, it's truly inspiring. A lot of hard work has gone into Trivium over the years. Can't wait to see you all soon \m/

I think Corey should be in the conversation for one of the best guitarists in metal. The way he’s able to pour out solos / complicated riffs and scream is mind blowing . I know they put Synyster Gates as the top dog like 10 years ago but in my opinion Corey is the true goat. 🐐
This is my favorite version of this song. Everyone is on fire! Cory's sweep and singing/screaming, Paolo's harmonies and deep fills, Alex's ridiculous timing and doubles, and Matt being an awesome front man. I love this band. Wish I can could just download this version and play it over and over on my drives. Take care!

One of the drawbacks of buying Amazon mp3 albums used to be that there were no lyrics, granted, you could always look them up. I love the way now with your Kindle Fire 10, or whatever Amazon device you use, So many of the lyrics play right along. Listening to the entire album on a great stereo system and having the lyrics embolden as you listen along is just fantastic. There is such a vast array of elements, such an incredible talent stack, including diligence and fortitude on top of it all. I TOTALLY respect Trivium's accomplishments, done in such brutal and sublime taste as well...its all just so outstanding!!!💥😎💥!!!

Yeah, its nothing to sing about, but having been a militant agnostic much of my life, that Physics of God youtube lecture and Audible book was pretty cool, especially when we all realize one day that the light at the end of our tunnels is a freight train! I don’t think whoever “mixed” this knows how to use a compressor. I assume they recorded a direct stereo out from FOH (no way it could sound this bad if it was mixed from individual tracks… I can only hope…) and someone tried to “master” it but this just sounds like the bad kind pumping. Otherwise, awesome performance from the Trivium boys as always but that goes without saying.
Love this song and you guys killed it obviously, I gotta ask though why is Paulo's mic so high and Corey's so low? I've noticed on alot of live vids Corey's scream is much lower in volume than Matt's and Paulo's backing vocals overpower everything
