My worst experience when it came to one of these talent shows was the year when Frozen came out. Almost every single entry contained a kid singing ‘Let it Go’

I played the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland for grade 7. The thing is that we were at a Christian school and the director was like "Instead of 'shut up' say "be quiet' because it is not so harsh." And I'm like, "frick this man, I am a whole 13 years old, I ain't gonna be a boring bitch". So at each practice I did what they want, but the actual night I shouted "SHUT UP!" I never felt so badass in my life
There was this asian kid that did karate for my schools talent show last year and from what i heard afterwards was that when he chopped the board, the piece of wood went flying and hit another kids face in the audience 💀
when i was in 6th grade, some of the girls in my class did a dance routine to missy elliot’s song “1 2 step” and apparently nobody warned the parents that it was happening. i wish you could’ve seen the looks on some of the old white parents faces when these little girls were doing that dance it was pure gold.
It was not a talent show, but in my school we have “Class Party’s” which was basically you paying the school extra money for having a normal day at school without the studying, anyways, one kid wanted to do a back-flip, ended up almost killing himself. Edit: Class Party’s happened once a year
I've only had one talent show ever. Every kid sang over songs except 2 school renowned jokesters who just played Tic-tac-toe and left. Later on, they came back and played Rock, Paper, Scissors.
All I remember, is that we had a dance thing where we were put into groups of 4. Everyone came up with dance routines and my group did one to Nsync's Bye Bye Bye, cause NSYNC was the shit in the 90's. We won.
That's some good advice. I was never in my talent show though but I do remember going to one and I can't remember much of it except for my friends doing this one act that I can barely remember and I don't even know them anymore.
I feel like the teacher probably changed it to stomach ache because he didn't want you to get hit too hard in the face or something. Baseballs are hard and kids throw things poorly. 💀

I wanted to help my parents out by saving them a trip to the store so I went out and bought them everything. Would y’all hide weed inside of a damn raw frozen turkey? Cause this police officer thought I did
Your punchline just makes more sense for the context, too, good on you for sticking with it. That said, the teacher was probs more looking out for your safety than a good punchline, since a baseball to the head is pretty rough, but stomache you have layers and can tense for the blow.
As an adult, I still can't think of any talents I have. The closest I can think of is that I can kind of do a 1 hand push up, kind of do the splits, jog 2 miles in under 17 minutes, and I'm almost intermediate in a 2nd language... I suck. : /
A little storytime: In 6th grade, my school banned all Nirvana merch, clothing, all Nirvana shit, so what i decided to was to do a little trolling. Me and my friends prepared to cover a Soundgarden song, i think it was Black Hole Sun but idk (i had a grunge phase and still do now) so what our new plan was to play the first few seconds of Black Hole Sun, then completely switch to Rape Me (the song) . We did exactly that. The school faculty freaked out and they suspended us for a week. It happened in Febuary 24. Every Febuary the 24th everyone in the school wears nirvana merch as a sign of resistance. Honestly it was funny
I cheesed my talent show by doing a guitar accompaniment for the one girl who could sing. It was corny as hell but I got a best buy gift card out of it
I did a Taekwondo form I learned to eye of the tiger blasting over the auditorium inside of a chapel because my school was also a church in 3rd grade. That's when I peaked
the kids that did magic tricks in my school always messed up and some would say they were good at some instruments but when they play them the they just play random notes
I was in a 6th grade talent show So I ask 3 requests on what to draw while asking some questions about their drawing experience or some crap. My first drawing request was the main demon slayer characters ( i forgor their names ) 2nd was that shrek scene where he comes out of the port-a-potty for some reason. The third one request was some SpongeBob SquarePants characters and that’s basically it, I got 2nd place tho

pretty sure the only talent i had in the 5th was being able to say the word "onomatopoeia" really fast
