glad I found this was looking at this chair as a replacement for current chair, but warranty issues and lack of seat comfort, changed my mind Thank You
Had my x2 for 4 years now. Had I purchased one of those white pleated leatherette chairs with the chrome arms, I would be purchasing my third one right about now, due to its wearing out and falling apart. I believe my x2 will last 20 years and still look good. That being said, all those personalizing adjustments are great if the chair is only for you. My wife and I would require different adjustments for ultimate comfort. So we compromise so its not the best settings for either of us. But its so tight and so new feeling after four years. We love it. Their return policy sucks, but I doubt you will want to use it.
Just saw a commercial for this chair during Monday Night Football and was intrigued. The cons you have about the "Money Back Guarantee" and the lackluster warranty turned me off immediately. THANK YOU for this great review!
Thank you so much for this honest review. I was considering this chair and would pay the higher price if it was worth it, but after listening to your review I am crossing this one off my list.
Thank you for this great, through, and honest review. I was skeptical based on their intensive television marketing campaign but didn't want to allow my bias to result in me missing out on a chair that would be good for my health considering the future of working from home. Highlighting the polices/warranty is so important, that's where they get you and I appreciate you recognizing it as a con. I will definitely be relying on your resources in my search for 2022 best office chair!
I have an X-chair, I am very happy with it, my friends like to come over to sit on my X-chair......I have no problems with the frame, nor the armrests, nor the seat....I love the reclining feature. I have no complains, I have this chair for almost a whole year, and it looks and feels like brand new..... I am blesssed !! no more back pain for me....
The negative comments in this review mainly concerned the comfort of the seat, armrests and back. I have this chair and found the seat a little firm but remedied it with a $20 gell cushion from Amazon. I have no problem with the armrests, but there are inexpensive aftermarket pads for those. The back is fine (for me). I was having problems with sciatica with my previous chair that are now gone. So I am very happy with the X-Chair 2
if the chair is good you should not even be buying a GEL CUSHION AT ALL! lmfao! you got ripped off by their stupid ads.... -_- and basically paid for an overpriced office chair that you can get from your local office depot/max -_-
Just picked up this exact chair. Early returns are great. Lack of comfort is not an issue for me. DVL works great and the backrest adjustment allows the DVL to hit my back in the exact spot I need. I sat on the Aeron as well as the Steelcase Leap V2, both were not near as comfortable and the back support was lacking for me. To each their own, but I would take the x-chair over the two I just mentioned.
The short answer is no if you are a full size man. The metal bars that hold the set mesh crushes your hip bones. I have to put a pillow on the seat just to use it, and you should not have to do that if you pay $600-800 for a chair.
yup gave these a test drive at my local dealer and I instantly hated how it felt on my hips, the plastic holding the mesh pushes up on the sides of my butt and hips, sucks
I like mesh with a headrest. I really liked the Hyken. You e said this is still superior to that and it comes in multiple color options. To get an Aeron with same same colors would be 1700 and that’s without a headrest. I want a high quality white mesh chair with a headrest.
Excellent review! I was having my doubts especially dealing with their customer service. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. After this review I know I made the correct decision on the quality. The website pictures had my doubts on quality but I was not 💯. Customer service refused to send out a test chair even though the business were considering purchasing 20+ chairs and at a higher cost/model. Xchair won’t be around long enough to fulfill any warranty issues. Thanks again.
Have you had a chance to try the X3 ATR Mgmt Chair with Memory Foam? Very interested to know if the seat and backrest comfort issues you mention here are still present in the x3 ATR model. Appreciate the insights!
So, how is Aeron better than this? Aeron has a bucket shaped seat that doesn't allow any side movements, it has a hard front edge of the seat, has a firm back frame that doesn't move and doesn't really allow you to move, no head rest...
The X chair has all of those same downsides but worse. The Aerons seat and back are more comfortable. The Aeron arms are way better and so is the recline. The Aeron has a better build quality, much better warranty and a better return policy. It is an upgrade across the board. -Ryan
Thank you for your review. I was really thinking about getting this chair and you’ve helped me change my mind. I will not be buying this chair. Thank you.
If you have a big butt, dont bother with X2, the seat width at 19 inches is not true. its more like 17 inches, (19 inches includes the plastic border AND there is a plastic lip that goes down further as you sink in the mesh. I had to return it, if you are petit with a small bottom might be good. And prices have gone up ALOT, mine was over 1200 dollars for the X2, with head rest 90 dollars and any other options you might want.
LOL this was more a video of everything wrong with the chair. Mind as well say hey go pay 1500+. I was waiting for him to say they hate it because it doesn't make your lunch to. So don't put is worth it? Put don't buy this chair. I have a Mavix which is a sister company and have a lot of similarities to this chair. I'm not rich and can only afford so much and for my budget this chair is amazing. But not sure if its because its Mavix or just me. If you can spend more the 1k for a desk chair than more power to you but if you're on a budget and want something comfortable and affordable, I would suggest Mavix since its the same thing for a less.
That will be the #1 reason I try not to buy products with a ton of tv advertising. The consumer pay for it and it take away from the quality of the product.
The chair is really only worth $149 The chair is $740 over priced and that is their icing on the cake. So even after you return the chair, they technically have still sold you the chair and they are out nothing and you have lost the $740. Save yourself the time and money and buy one from Staples
I'm sorry. I would never pay that amount or what this company is charging for this chair or any chair they are selling. I don't care. I would never pay 800 or 1,500 or ,2 k for a chair from then. I went thier to thier websight and saw chairs as much as a house payment. In my view, if your paying that much for a office chair. Them also charging you to return it or return a detective product a 199.99 buck to return it or exchange it. No thank you! I would never buy any product or anything off any company. That or who will charge a coustmer a fee to return, repair or place a chair. Yes, I do want a comfortable office chair. But, I will only spend 150 for a desk chair. But, hey if your rich and want to brag. I spent 800 or 1,2,3 k for a office chair. More power to you . But, I'd rather spend that money on a trip or experience. Then a piece of future
Yes, and Steelcase, Herman Miller, and Hayworth cost twice as much. Of course, they'll be better as they should. And you can't compare X-Chair's headrests to them because the big three don't seem to have headrests. And for those who support only U.S.-made versus communist China, I assume you don't have smartwatches, computers, TVs, or any other electronic devices, because they're all made in China.
Basically the testers don’t like mesh chairs. If all mesh chairs inherently has similar characteristics then it’s not so much the x-chair they’re testing. That’s like me testing 10 cushion chair and complain how stuffy they feel, how little ventilation they offer….
They don’t have inherently similar characteristics though. The X chair has an uncomfortable seat, uncomfortable back, uncomfortable arms, a terrible recline, bad warranty and expensive return policy. And it’s expensive. This is why I think this chair presents one of the worst values in the office chair market. -RB
@@btodtv I understand what you’re saying but I don’t consider bad warranty a “ characteristic”. That’s company policy. A mesh seat and back can only be flat(ish) it’s totally different from cushion chairs. Think trampoline. This is what I’m saying. Yes this chair is pretty damn expensive with a nasty shipping cost if returned, that’s very true, but when it comes to talking about “Feel” then it shouldn’t be compared to cushion chairs. It’s like comparing ICE vehicles to EVs. Each one offers something totally different besides a place to sit. The mesh offers ventilation with a little less “comfort” while the cushion offers way more comfort with zero ventilation. I can’t even afford this chair so I don’t even know why I’m even debating this except for the fact that I’m a ventilation guy. I like my air.
People compare ICE vehicles to EVs every day. It wouldn't make sense to not compare one office chair to another because they have different upholsteries. People are trying to learn the differences and what is right for them. Without comparing them, then there is no way to tell the difference. -RB
These People have lost their minds. $900.00 to $2000.00 for a stupid chair. Just give me a Bucket to sit on before I spend that much on a chair. NOT WORTH IT!!!
Well I think if you look at all of our content as a whole, it becomes pretty easy to see why you can trust us. That doesn’t mean you need or have to though, that decision is up to you -Greg

I wholeheartedly agree. I am glad I found out about the warranty and the "money back" guarantee. Hard pass for me now.
Ditto.
Same
Nice. Don't even need to watch the video ty

Would love to see this compared to the IOO or the Union and Scale 1500.
How about the X5? M40i engine is sweet!

Thank you for the review, and insightful breakdown. Also, screwed wired for recommending it.
Thanks for the review.
Costco now sells this chair
Thank you for your review. I was really thinking about getting this chair and you’ve helped me change my mind. I will not be buying this chair. Thank you.
This man ended x chairs whole career
please review the X3

So glad I watched this.
IS IT WORTH IT 🤪. Is what worth what my guy? Is the X chair worth the price. Thank you to me.
If you can't sit comfortably in a chair, there is no point in buying a chair.
I'm sorry. I would never pay that amount or what this company is charging for this chair or any chair they are selling.

That price is ridiculous. I can get a good gaming chair for $600.
$1000 for a uncomfortable ass chair... wtf?!
Padded seat and back would make it a winner. Since it doesn't have them, it's a loser.
It's X3 version. No problem.

I’ll give you five dollars for the chair, not a penny more.
Good luck with that

Yea I knew this chair was garbage lol
Thanks but I'll stick with Haworth, Steelcase or Herman Miller... will only support U.S. made chairs.
im sorry for anyone who bought a 900 dollar chair
