    Loving my new monitor, especially at this price!
    If you want to check it out I'll leave the links below:
    Amazon.ca (Canada)
    32" LG 32GR93U - amzn.to/4bwYQE0
    Amazon.com (US)
    32" LG 32GR93U - amzn.to/4cEkEPl
    I know the Canadian link is the price I paid but if you are in the US check the LG website/BestBuy etc as they may have lowered the price there. And if you DON'T get this monitor, make sure whatever you do buy is at least a similar or better deal. The sale prices happen, be patient!
    And if you decide to go OLED instead... I get it lol. It's risky in a way but hey, yolo! My OLED TV is from 2016 is is still working like a CHAMP.

    There are QC issues with these monitors if they were manufactured between July and October 2023. My monitor was manufactured in October 2023 and I experienced black lines after 3 months or ~600 hours of usage/on-time. LG replaced my defective panel with a brand new, flawless panel but I’d be SOL if the new panel had arrived with 1-2 dead pixels.

    regarding calibration, this monitor has some of the best out-of-box accuracy for an IPS out there (LG in general is known for that). I'd recommend switching to sRGB mode for maximum accuracy; it'll lock you out of a few options but not as much as most other monitors do - one of those is response time, but it keeps it at 'Fast' which is by far the best across all refresh rates anyway.

    • @thesahdstudio
      @thesahdstudio  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Interesting! Thanks for that. Any idea what 'Fast' locks or limits the frame rate to? I haven't been able to find that info yet online/

    • @srn7254
      @srn7254 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@thesahdstudio it doesn't limit your framerate actually; response time basically determines how fast pixels swap to display what's needed; IPS these days tend to be marketed as having 1ms and that's technically achievable if you go for maximum response time - but that also introduces lots of pixel overshoot and inverse ghosting (might wanna look up what that is if you're unfamiliar as it's best understood when seen), so you're always looking to find the right balance between fast response time without having pixel overshoot, and in the case of this monitor it's 'Fast' under response time settings.
      a lot of monitors have a problem where you can't rely on single response time setting to get the best balance possible across all refresh rates, so you're forced to constantly swap between different settings depending on how much FPS you can get (especially problematic with 4K gaming on PC given its hardware requirements) - but that's not really an issue on this monitor in particular because LG finetuned it exceptionally well to maintain that balance across all refresh rates with a single setting.
      I'm not best at explaining things, but hopefully you're getting my point 😅

    hey great video but I have one question or should I say one concern, literally 90% of customers reviews mention that this monitor fail after some weeks of usage showing horizontal lines dead pixels and in some cases it becomes even unusable, so I wanna know if your unit is working perfectly (4months later) and I wanna know if it's possible to return it and get a full refund if case mine also turns out defective, currently it is listed at 550 euros (around 600$ US) on amazon, I really wanna get it to pair with a ps5 that I've just ordered because it is probably the best 32inch 4K but I just can't get myself to buy something that i'm pretty sure gonna break, hope this wasn't long, thanks in advance

      Hey! Sorry for the delay in response. Was a busy weekend with the kids. My monitor is running like a champ still and I've moved it around from desk to desk (on a monitor arm) with zero issues. I think outside of 1 month return windows (which they DO have) you are usually covered for at least a couple years with a warranty. I hear you though. I mean how many people do you think have bought the monitor and actually left reviews about it on the site, maybe 1-3%? The rest of us are happy users. I have zero regrets owning and recommending it. I love mine. With that being said I can't personally guarantee it will last like any tech so... I wish I could help ya more!

    Did I miss out on what video graphic card you're using right now on this monitor. I'm on the edge picking up a 4k monitor, think 32inch, but gaming is perhaps not my strong issue. Still I would like to know if a regular Nvidia 3080 can handle 4k. I sadly heard it struggles on some games.
    I just retired and miss my 4k monitor from work. Of course that one never got to see any hard gaming, but now I have time and if I can ride with a 3080, 10gb graphic card I'm in the market for a 32inch 4k monitor. This looks great and I will compare it with Gigabyte M32U.

It'll make the older and more indie games looks great in 4k (Rocket League, Deep Rock Galactic etc) but with the newer stuff... I just don't know. I think either monitors are sufficient it's more about what deals you can get at the time which would determine which one I'd get. You planning on playing any certain games?!

    I'm neither a TH-camr nor a hard core gamer so my monitor needs are modest. Having said that, I really wanted 4K so in February I purchased a Samsung 28" ViewFinity IPS monitor from Best Buy when it was on sale for $250 US (and that included tax!). Clearly, at that price I didn't get perfection but I got "good enough" --- except for the stand, which was a terrible, flimsy wobbly thing. How is the Sonos soundbar when paired with this monitor and a ps5. Is it a little too much for a ps5 gaming setup?

      ...it's fantastic! :) I loved it. Was it overkill? Definitely. Would I do it again? I would! I got my Beam second hand and a great price. I'm not sure it's worth the full sticker price though. On my other channel I reviewed the Pebble speakers, and while they weren't great, I compared them to some Edifier speakers I recently bought (refurbed) and for the price those are the best bang for your buck. The ones I bought were the MR4's fyi.

      My monitor is still working great. Nice clarity, colour, and is awesome for gaming. I can't complain, especially at that sale price!

    Do you by any chance know, if the monitor is compatible with the LG ergo monitor arm? My 32UN880P recently broke, so I'm looking for a new monitor I can mount on my arm.

      Hmm, I'm not sure. I believe the monitor uses a standard VESA mount, or whatever common mount monitors have. Sorry to hear your monitor broke!! 😭

    This monitor sucks. I experienced TWO STUCK PIXELS in less than 140 hours of use: A red and green stuck pixel. The red stuck pixel went away, but the green one is still there although it's much smaller. Life's not good. Life's GARBAGE.

    Was very surprised to hear 'I'll probably sell my M1 Max...'. Did I miss something? Then again, maybe you're just coming around full circle (to Windows). Forgivable. ;)

      Haha yeah I've gotten back into gaming and I wanted to build my own computer. I was so curious because I was watching a bunch of Puget systems guys talking about how good Intel quick sync was for video editing I needed to know if the desktop was better than the macbook so use that as an excuse to build a new computer. The new Intel video editing experience is not as good as I had hoped but the new video card just looks so good on this big beautiful screen. I'm still happy with what I did.

    No, the panel is BOE the worst, you can see negative reviews on how bad the QC is.

      What's BOE? My monitor is awesome (for now) so hopefully it lasts for years. My other LG monitor is still solid so I'm hopeful.

      @@thesahdstudio BOE is not LG like you get with nano IPS, many have reported issues with horizontal or vertical lines after 6 months or later. However it could be a bad batch and newer revision could be better but I wouldn't trust it from BOE from China as to AUO from Taiwan.
