It’s your ewe that produces the egg that determines how many lambs you have the ram just determines the sex of the sheep
Absolutely. The majority of these rams will go on to breed replacement ewes that helps maintain a higher lambing percentage than breeding replacements from single born rams. Over a few generations this reduces the overall lambing percentage of a flock 👌

Your local strongman "cracks me up"! Good catch as well. What a rip-off not getting paid for extra weight on lambs.....seriously..... farming = the only business where the owner is constantly ripped off by the customer.
IIRC it was John F Kennedy said "The farmer buys retail, sells wholesale and pays the freight both ways"

I don't understand...*why* don't you get paid for carcasses over 23 kilos?
The market for lamb in Europe is apparently for lighter carcasses so we don't get paid for any extra carcass weight over 23kg this time of year. The cut off weight is 21kg for spring lamb right up until Sept/Oct.
I know I am spending you money but maybe you need a bigger trailer for all the moves you need to do.
