I like no loud music, and not so much face time but more bus shots. I'll stay with you guys

Nice idea, I think that might work well for me, seems to be a pretty good setup.

Thanks! We've had them in place for a while now and they've held up well. We just added some lock washers to the screws to keep them from vibrating out.

Thanks! We were going to go with a lock over the bar but really wanted to lock/unlock it from the outside so we could really use all the doors if we wanted.

Thanks! This was useful! How is the woodblock connected to the door? You didn't drill through the entire door I see , so I assume you drilled a hole through the first layer of metal in the door and used heavy rivets to connect, but perhaps it was just sheet metal screws. I have not tried this yet, but it would seem like putting the flat strike (the piece on the handle the deadbolt connects to) on the backside of the handle rather than the front, would eliminate the need for the the wood block, unless the deadbolt is designed so that it cannot receive the flat strike loops on either side. I guess I will find out when I try that. :) Again, thanks for sharing the idea!

Thanks! We did just screw it into the door, so it may not be the most secure option but we figured they are going to have to get some real torque on the outside handle to try to break it. Would love to see your approach and changes!

Cool, the back of my bus was rusted so I cut it right off and rebuilt the back wall with a solid wall, no door. And added a porthole window.

Thanks! We are keeping the back doors as clear as we can so we can get some good air flow on hot days. I like the porthole window idea a lot though, may need to look into that to replace our two back windows on either side of the door.

@@OrrgoTheBus I'm also keeping my back door clear, as I want to still have an actual emergency exit in case of emergency. I was going to wall it off but then I started imaging myself stuck on the bed in back while my skoolie burned.
