Good video, I never bothered looking through the board games much at thrift shops before. Right after watching this I found two old games, Masterpiece and Silicon Valley, selling around 35-60 each
Sweet! I’ve found two of these.. currently have Pokemon Master Trainer listed and sold The Office Monopoly for $150! Found for $4 at the local thrift.. it can be done!
When you said you hadn’t personally played Electronic Dream Phone I started cracking up! That cover screams 80’s teenage girls, and I would know lol My son was born in 1987 and I know he had some of those games, I’m going to send him this video and ask him! Liked and shared, thanks for sharing!
What a fun video! As a buyer One of my favorites I got on Ebay was "Monster Mansion" from 1981 It was a gift for my sister, it usually sells for under 100 but I would have paid up to 250 depending on condition
I’m kicking myself because I owned both Fireball Island and Hero Quest as a kid but got rid of them a very long time ago. Of course there’s no way we would have known. I never could figure out Hero Quest.
I don't know if it's on your list, but a complete copy of the Key to the Kingdom from 1992 can sell for $150. I found one at a yard sale for $5 that was incomplete, but I bought the missing pieces on eBay for another $20 which is another tip. Investing $20 on replacement pieces can get you another $50 for a complete game. Or you can part out your incomplete game and sell the pieces separately which could make twice as much but with more work and time.
@@Raikenprofit Hahaha its survival of the fittest. Who ever has knowledge, good eyes, connections and motivation can make it in this field. Thanks for the videos 🙂
I own both Hero Quest and Fireball island from when I was a kid. Hero Quest is Complete and Fireball Island missing some pieces. But being close to some game collectors Hero Quest is harder to find.
Some thrift stores tape up the books so you can’t tell if all the pieces are there. You have to buy it and then luck and then get a refund. Also puzzles I’ve never bought a puzzle
I sold a game called Omega Virus. I found it at my local Savers for $7.99. I sold it for $150.00 two months later. All the pieces was there and it worked!!! I was in SHOCK!!!!
Found what I thought was Hero Quest at a thrift store. I definitely let out a loud gasp. Right box, wrong contents. It was filled with 1990s wrestler trading cards.
I saw Settlers of Catan last weekend. I debated getting it, I ended up not now I regret it. I have some friends that collected MB games in the 80s and 90s.
I love selling the card games best- hardly ever missing cards and super easy to ship. Have sold certain add-on packs for almost $100. Great tips- thank you!
Just found a King Oil game from the seventies, but it was missing lots of pieces. Complete sets sell for around $150. May piece it out. Only paid 33 cents for it at a junk store.
Risk always does well for me. The card game Tripoley is a dark horse. Certain ones do good. Yahtzee is another especially the themed ones. Great Video!!😎😎😎
Yes! Only found four, though, on Worthpoint: $29.99 sold March 2017 on eBay, $32.95/May 2018/eBay, $14.99/Dec 2017/eBay, and $29.99/April 2017. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the video. I've just finished trying to make money 'flipping' items on eBay. Complete waste of time for me (although I know some people can make it worthwhile). The only good thing thing to come out of it is that I now realise that earning £10 p/h in a job isn't so bad! Funnily enough during my 6 weeks of eBay sales I sold Pokémon Master Trainer for less than £5 -it was the only bidder. Maybe I'm supposed to keep stuff on sale for longer. Oh well, best of luck to everyone else!
Just sold a Dream Phone game for $200 on Amazon. When I saw it in a Goodwill bin everyone passed it by. I laughed when I saw it and nearly skipped it but then checked the solds and picked it up for about $1. Luckily had all the pieces. Had my wife test the phone. She called Carlos. The board games pieces alone can get great profits.
I have an Elvis monopoly game I got at the flea market box great shape. Paid 15 canadian. Dont know how to play monopoly yet so not sure if its complete. Is it worth anything
Hey man just found your channel. I'm a part time reseller out of Vermont. I just picked up for free a milton Bradley 1989 crash canyon game almost complete with box and manual and the 3-D board. Missing some stuff. What are your thoughts on this game?
Hey Steven, I may have asked this before on an other video…but still wondering…WHY do some of these sell so well when you can still get them brand new in the shops? Where I live (in the UK) Hero Quest is on sale in toy shops for $130. Love your videos!!! Thanks a bunch!!
I've never found a Settlers of Catan that sold for more than 40 but that's still pretty good but I did a red box Pokemon that I sold for about 200 bucks and it was still missing pieces in fact all the ones were listed we're missing pieces but they were still selling for good money
Fireball island. All cards..??? All bridges…. Red marbles???😒. And the gem stone. I loved this game. Also the real ghostbusters board game!!! Epic!! True story. Sleep over with my cuz. First time I ever played clue. First game clue. Second fireball island. Then what do u want 2 play. Me clue!!! I was already a beast at fireball.
I am not a native speaker, but watch most of the shows by English speaking creators on TH-cam. This is the first time I ever heard anyone say flipped instead of sold. Is that something people from a certain region say?
Artimus Gordon Yep I get it, but did you know it can cost $50 to ship an item like this from the East to west coast now. There go your profits. Or do you just pray you sell it to someone on your own coast?
Never just wrap them in paper, that is asking for trouble. There are board game boxes you can get from USPS and you can also make your own boxes and ship Priority.
@@southernmermaid2526 As Mr. Raiken said, get a USPS account and order the flat rate game board boxes which were around $20 last time I used one. If you don't like that option then use calculated shipping which has the effect of discouraging buyers farther away from you while encouraging those in your geographic region. Shipping is the toughest part of this business to me because of the unpredictability of the costs...especially with an unstable USPS.
Artimus Gordon Thank you so much. I already have a USPS account. I will look for the boxes. I didn’t know they made them specifically for game boards. 😎
Risk, Pokemon, Fireball Island, Hero Quest, Dark Tower, Dream Phone, Mall Madness, Settlers of Catan
😎
Speaking of games, ladies who remembers that Mystery Date Game? That was fun!! Haha thanks for the tips..
Will he be a dream? Or a DUD??

That's awesome, so glad this was able to open up a new market for you!
I tune in because I like wat hing your story progress. I'm still trying to grow my store and i enjoy learning from you.
Awesome! Thank you and best of luck!

Star Wars queens gambit. Good luck finding it. Got my copy! Settlers of Catan isn't rare.
I remember the advertisements for the Dark Tower game when I was a kid. I thought it looked like so much fun and I wanted to play it so bad!
It really does seem like a cool game!
Board games make me smile. I'm such a nerd
Nothing wrong with that 🤣
I still have my Heroquest game from when I was a kid. I also have two expansion packs for it. All pieces present.
I’m kicking myself because I owned both Fireball Island and Hero Quest as a kid but got rid of them a very long time ago. Of course there’s no way we would have known. I never could figure out Hero Quest.
That craigslist alert service is new to me. Cool.
Glad to help!

Thanks for the tip! I absolutely agree. Broken or missing pieces can be found easily and cheaply, as well as sold by you!
I sold a "Sinking of the Titanic" board game from the 70's for over $100 on Ebay. Bought for $2
That was a crazy good find!
I found Dream Phone and Hero Quest out in the wild for a few bucks. Still looking for Dark Tower and Fireball Island.
I love how you say out in the wild hahaha Best of luck as you continue your search!

"I haven't personally played it." Yeah, right, I know you played a lot of dream phone. Don't lie!
Lol, we were playing Catan this afternoon. Dorset UK.

I sold a game called Omega Virus. I found it at my local Savers for $7.99. I sold it for $150.00 two months later. All the pieces was there and it worked!!! I was in SHOCK!!!!

Oh nooo! I know how that feels haha!
Really valuable video! I would imagine just the pieces of some of these would have value!
Very true!
Found a Hero Quest for a few bucks and I think I flipped for $150. Good find

Mall Madness 1989 - the one in big pink/purple box
Crossbows and Catapaults!
Nice! Great content. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Jodi!
How easy are they to find? Are there international version of the games for us outside US?
The original Masterpiece is up there too around $100
Thanks for the tip!

You can check all the comps out on eBay 🙂
If it’s the ElvisOpoly game, it’s selling between $16-$31; if it’s the 45th anniversary Elvis Monopoly one, it goes for $20-$45. Hope that helps!
Lily Pulitzer Monopoly is one to look out for.
Thanks for the tip!
Cones of Dunshire!!
Dark tower was recently rebooted on kickstarter....
Actually, it's Dark Tower Returns. It's modeled after the original, but still set to be a completely new game.

great info, ty
Thanks for watching!

If you don't have all the pieces look for them on ebay or call the manufacturer
I’ve found Hero Quest twice but never Fireball Island.
Keep an eye out! Hopefully you get lucky again one day soon!

What about star wars monopoly can’t seem to sell it lol yes I have a risk too thanks for video
I loved Dream Phone!!! 😂
Greys anatomy Sealed on amazon sells for $120. Payed .50 cents at a sell
That's a solid flip, nice!!
I sold Dream Phone a couple years ago. It was totally ruined. Still got like $60 for it.
Awesome flip, James!

Flipped is more like slang - its been popularized on tv shoes especially in real estate.
Did that listing really want $48 to ship dark tower?
Yep, and people will pay it!
Thank you!
No, thank YOU Sharon!
Damn I threw tons of those Catan games away from an old store i worked at that was going out of business. I wonder what versiob it was grrrrrr.....
😂😂😂 It always sucks to have something like that happen!
Love the video but it's Mil TON Bradley not Mil UN Bradley.
Even the old risk game sells for $50
I always find dream phone but it's missing the phone every time lol thanks Steve
What about Harley Davidson Monopoly
Of course I don't have every profitable game listed. If you are interested in a specific games selling point, simply look it up!
World of Warcraft, Ticket to Ride 10th Anniversary, StarCraft
Thanks!
You bet!
We can not sell those because they have vero

With the recent price increases in the USPS, what is the best way to ship these board games? Do you box them or just wrap with packing paper? 🐳
