    For Barbies, I have had some good profits with selling these dolls. The ones I find at yard sales I get if they are 1980s and older. Ones I've sold go around $35 to $60. They rarely stay listed past 2 weeks. Plus most people don't know what they are selling, I have found every Barbie I've sold/listed in the toys tub.

    I have so many toys from the 90s that are barely worth what I paid for them back then. When everybody sees my toys they think that I have stuff worth thousands of dollars just because it's brand new. But they don't realize that thousands of other people already saved the same toys.

    Pokemon Cards! My husband and I are avid collectors and 90% of Pokemon new or old are worth about $0.25 each. People think if they have old Pokemon they are worth a lot but even shadowless are worth about $1 each. Newer cards that are good for playing the game in the current generation are USUALLY the ones worth $30+ (there are a couple exceptions of course)

    I don't know if you have heard or not but I'm trying to get the word out that Target has started kicking people out of their stores for doing RA because they have a policy that is against retail arbitrage. • @RetroJunk1987

      There are not many valuable yugioh cards at all so you should probably avoid them. Pokemon is tricky because there are only cards from certain sets that are worth good money. First edition base set cards hold great value but are super hard to come by. Another set that has some high dollar cards is The Legendary collection, specifically the reverse holo cards from this set. There are a handful of current cards that sell in the $20+ range as well.

    I deal almost exclusively in vintage toys at my brick and mortar store on Long Island- and I agree with everything you’re saying. For eBay. The good side of having a store front for me is that even the saturated stuff will sell in the store (1980s-90s baseball cards will sell in bulk if they are near pristine). But I will add to the list *NSYNC dolls and Disney VHS- I get at least a call a week asking if I buy beanie babies or Disney VHS!

    Regarding Mickey Mouse (sorry its not in the original thread, I was having issues replying). Mickey Mouse, much like several of the items you mentioned, is a mass produced piece of Americana. If you go to Disney you'll see 20 pieces of merch to all other characters one. Much like you gents were saying in the video, it doesn't mean there aren't great pieces that sell out there. (I did well one time with a tea cup set) However, for the most part I find that the supporting characters (Donald, Goofy, Minnie, etc) have a much better sell through. A lot of people may find something with Mickey on it and automatically assume they hit a goldmine especially if it is old. Through my experience, I tend to trend very carefully with anything with Mickey Mouse on it because it is quite literally hit or miss.

    • @levittperez
      @levittperez 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      darksider66 For Disney merch I have found the exclusive plushies sell. They take some time to sell but collectors snatch them up as most are limited release.

    This is just an idea, if we spot a large amount of good conditioned toys that are not worth us selling, we could buy some and pass them on to children's hospitals as a form of paying it forward, it helps out the person selling them and it might just brighten up a sick child's day .
    What do you think ?
    Cheers.

    • @Raikenprofit
      @Raikenprofit  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a wonderful idea Neville. Donating things you find is a great way to give back to your community and help pay it forward. I think most Children's Hospitals prefer new in the box toys due to how easily illness can spread, but local women and children's shelters, orphanages, and even some day care centers would be more than happy to receive items!
