Sorry but that is a luxury item for many of us 😢

I understand, I may carry a small bag, or a roll up type tool carrier in the car.

For those who live in small spaces this is ideal. Tucks into a closet and pull it out as you need it. All your tools are organized into one spot. There are shortcomings but overall I really like it.

Wonder what is the difference between this and the other box bx-2.2 and what should be considered when leaning between one or the other.

I have the other 2.2 (smaller) toolbox. I have had it now for approximately 10 years. I retired it when the new BX-3 came out. The 2.2 is smaller but was a great working box for me. Towards the ladder part of its life, I was using it more often for outdoor events, so cramming it with tools was essential. The problem I ran into was a bent hinge (1 of 2). I may have done this in my haste. It was still functioning but I needed to be careful when closing. The bx3 has greater volume and more organizational compartments. That's a big plus for me. The ease of finding a tool and having a home is crucial. Especially when 3-4 guys are sharing it. The bells and whistles, like the retractable walk, handle, solid rubber wheels, and sealed bearings, are a huge deal for me. The construction is solid and gives me confidence it can take a beating and will last a long time. FYI, the bigger the box, the more tools will get crammed in; therefore, it gets heavy. I love all the handles it provides, and the hydraulic lid assust is just cool. I do not get any kickbacks from Park Tool or anybody else, so this is my fair take. Thanks, Arthur

I know two guys who have the BX-3 and each had one of their fold out wings rip at the fold out joint seam. For $500+ that should not happen with a 1-2 year old toolbox regardless of any rough handling or not. Not sure why I would drop that much cash on a toolbox when I can buy a similar size Pelican rolling case for about $180, spend another $60-80 on Kaizen foam and build my own case from scratch for half the price where each tool fits in its own made to measure space?
Park has some tools that are absolutely worth the price of admission, but unfortunately much of their stuff (well over half) like their cheap $30 rebadged Chinese fabbed torque wrenches that they sell for over $100 and this toolbox are just wildly overpriced. Same for their hydraulic brake bleed kits that they want almost $150 for that consist of little more than two syringes, some small plastic and metal fasteners, and a cheap box that does not even have organizer space - incredibly for $150 all the kit parts just sit loose in the box. Hard pass on this and all the other silly priced Park tools.
But a nice vid by you!

I agree with all you said. I wish there were another competitor that would rival Park. Overall a decent product. I have had a small amount of tools fail quickly and another handful I would modify. My travel boxes sit more than they are out I the field so I can't give a great update. I appreciate your feedback.

@@BikeTeacherUnior do a good range of quality tools, similar price to park, just way better quality, all European made in their own factories.

Nice, I don’t see them offered in big kits here in the states. I would gladly try more of them.
