I had wondered if Toriyama had a successor of some kind, it's a bit reassuring to know he does now.
He has a whole team that does drawing but most of it is done on computers these days. Anime is not hand drawn like it used to be in early 2000s.

@@gokuvegeta7126he can draw, growing old effects of your art but not by much, he redrew Zamasu and it was pretty much the same as buu saga but a little bit more thin, so he most likely doesn't draw because he doesn't need to and he's basically retired.

it's a pretty common belief that toriyama is tired with dragonball to some extent, and if that's true, well i can attest that it's a lot easier to find the motivation to write up ideas and scripts than drawing them out. i think he's just missing the passion to go pump out manga chapters at the rate such a high profile series would demand.

Because he hated the limelight. He preferred to avoid the public eye as much as possible.
It’s also possible he felt his health was declining, so he instead entrusted Dragon Ball to his future successor.

though one major reason you have to take into account why he will never draw boruto is because of how much supportive he is of Ikemoto. him taking his position will be disrespectful and not on point to his character. they already had 2 chances to do so but imo i dont think that will happen.
