It’s a struggle to keep backgrounds on that side panel where you have the grip tape. At least it’s a little easier to replace the grip tape rather than having to replace the whole background
this heat and humidity is ridiculous......i walk the dog at 10 am and im done for the day......then i have to take him out again after dinner......and im 64......those are my 2 motos for the day...lol......i felt bad for everyone racing on racetv......especially the older dudes......kudos for even attempting it
Totally agree with everything he's saying. My '21 is the most stable at high speeds of any modern chassis I know of? It feels longer, especially if the forks are dropped and the axle is shoved back as far as possible. The exhaust and ECU tune, along with proper gearing for the terrain. Were the most important changes I made. I'd initially went from the factory 3.73 ratio to 3.92. Now I'm at 3.64. I couldn't even keep the bike under me, it was so wicked. But yeah, the factory exhaust and tune are pretty much unrideable. Imagine how it felt with 3.92 gears? Not safe.
@@quadariusneal7550 Hmmm. Installation is key with grip tape. I’ve screwed it up and it only lasted a day as well. I use a 3M adhesive for prep on frame before install. Acerbis frame guards are ok but not as grippy for me as tape.
Get the frame guards mate! They're a tad thicker and it gives you more to hang on to. Love mine! Plus you don't have to mess with cleaning the frame. Lol.

@@premix3663 I like the wide top for stock foam. This is the Phantom foam stock shape and I like this because the density is firmer so the shape doesn’t bother me. Flat top/regular foam/medium density is second fav.

Hey Kris, do you feel the stock footpeg brackets make it hard to grip the bike? I sat/stood on 24 yz450f at my local dealer and the square edge of the bracket mainly on the shifter side wouldnt allow me to comfortably and easily grip the bike with the proper foot placement & stance. My toe kept sliding down. I was only wearing work boots so may not be the same with moto boots on. If so, Do the Works Connection mounts help with this at all? Im looking to move to one of these after along time on 2022 annd prior gen KTM's. Love ya work too man super informative!
@@MClyne24 So I’ve heard of others complain about this but I have yet to have this happen to me. The WC mounts are not as fat at the ends so it does help but stock isn’t bad for me.

forgive my ignorance, but specifically for Loretta's and the issues with the YZF 450 that you mentioned, what do you think about a 350 in retrospect (obv. hindsight being 20/20)?

Great video!!! Lots of very useful information!!!
Have you ever tried the older style longer swing arm? I’d be curious to know your feedback.
FYI the cups are 20 minutes difference vs stock, a minute is 1/60th of a degree so the cups change it by .3 degrees.
Mean set up Yamaha alday.
Go hard. Solid MLHR&R
