I haven't seen this classic crime thriller, but I'm familiar with the way it ends: Mills' rage gets the better of him, John Doe succeeds in his plan... But Somerset has renewed vigour and stays on the force. This results in a line that sums up my current beliefs and will continue to do so: "Ernest Hemingway once wrote that the world is a fine place and worth fighting for. I agree with the second part." It's odd because I haven't seen _Seven_ (that's how its spelt, "Se7en" is just a stylistic choice for the opening credits that roll as Doe plans his spree) at all, and yet that closing line just resonates with me.
If you haven't seen it, we HIGHLY recommend it. It is one of the all time greats and if you want a script breakdown with one of the best (Dr. Bruce Hutchinson), then come back and listen to this episode. And thanks for commenting!
