There’s a few additions to the lore than just that, but yeah it’s a good summary but shit like the Russo-Japanese war was a failure for Japan and other events like that
a basic red flood summary: imagine what happened to Russia in 1917, but with different Ideologies to reflect each countries politics at the time.... and not a single civil war went in favor of the establishment.
The next update of Red Flood will apparently bring a lot of rebalances in addition to new content, Kavkaz will get nerfed a lot because it's terrifyingly OP currently. Also the current devs have a different "vision" for the mod than the people who developed the older versions, so you can expect things like paths making sense (though they will still be crazy) and not everything happening at the very beginning of the game. If anyone has any questions I'll try to answer, though I'm not a dev.
I really hope they don't change the lore too much because as is the mod is one of the few Alt history mod that make you feel as thought the world is actually different and not just "WW2 but..." and also peoples seem to forget that the 1930s had some of the craziest youth in history (it was more or less on the same level of schizo as 2020s gen Z) so the events of the mod are plausible imo

I follow the development of RF on discord, and there's a lot of interesting stuff shown there about future updates. The main difference from the old content is that now the devs look deeply into the countries and people they show in the game. This means that there will be more paths and the devs are trying not to make any boring. I'm personally hyped for the next update, which will rework France and Italy and add content to Spain and West African nations.

The only thing that i hate about this mod is.... when you play france There is a french focuse tree who would delete a singe infrastructure and also a civillian factory "in every single states" which is literally destroy half total of your ducking civillian factory 💀

The French focus tree, especially before NSB, is arguably one of the worst in terms of accurately representing what people accurately believed and an extensive rework of it has been in the works for months now. When it finally does drop, their will be an 'environmentalist' path, but it should be more faithful to the real people in the path, more balanced and less of a meme.
You have to try out the united provinces in the middle of India. A lot of great writing there, and it isn't totally overpowered, at least not if you don't decide to destroy the world by mass murdering literally everyone once you've reached the end of the first focus tree. Also the leader is a run-down, even more alcoholic Churchil, that is already enough rason to play it on its own.
First time I played Red flood I was recovering from an illness and was on meds that made my brain very foggy. I straight up had a mental breakdown and it took a year before I tried out the mod again.
i liked this mod, but the updates took too long, and the UI got kinda tiredsome the more i played, and jesus christ these devs really really really like 70 days focuses. and everyone knows (21, 35, 56) focuses are the new fucking meta of HoI4 Modding.
The reason why the stats are so op is because its supposed to mimic the ideology which accelerates capitalism to the point it reach a technology and industrial capabilities that would destroy human historical development leading to (depends if ur RW or LW) communism or a pure white world

The artist movement, The Avant-garde, managed to somehow do a revelation. Le Patron is the leader of the artist revolution in France. America went rlly hard on the whole prohibition thing. That somehow made the great depression worse. The Russian revolution was pushed into the kacasus. and the world's water supply is spiked with small traces of lsd and cocane. ok that last part is probably not true. probably...
