- Thank you to Banggood for sending me this quadcopter, this is the MJX X103W, which is a GPS quadcopter that folds. In today's video we are plagued by bad weather so much so i have to land the quadcopter twice in order to let the weather pass before i take it back up. This week is going to be full and a full list of videos relating to this showcase can be found below.
Starting off this week we have the MJX X103W unbox & flight test video in which we see how well this quadcopter with its coreless 1020 motors fairs against the 7mph to 13 mph gusting winds. We look at some features of this quad, and once the weather breaks ill be taking this quadcopter back up to see how it fairs in less angry conditions.

Yay cables in the antennas!!!! 😁 Good old MJX 😀 I like the telemetry screen, nice touch, I think it's the same size as my Holy Stone version, but that has 1500mAh batteries so they could be interchangeable?

that one looks a winner to me bud I must say, if it can fly on a day like that it cant be bad. I actually like the fact it takes aa's as long as you keep some in the bag theres no chance of being grounded for a flat transmitter, which has happend to me in the past 🤣👍

@@jdquad yes true story that. my s70, checked before I went out and it had charge but not enough to let me take off.. the only time I took it out walking so couldn't charge it. power bank permanent in the bag now 👍

nice controller also, i hope they bring a quad like this or jsrc with a slide better camera and make the quad 10 -20 euros or dollars more expensive so you have a nice quad still under the 200 range, but is is nice again for this price range, nice review mate

Hi jd,,To be fair I prefer this over the bugs 4w as it’s much cheaper and the camera quality is not far off, I think that’s where mjx let their drones down a bit is on the video quality and lens quality,they make great flying drones though.. happy rcing mate👍

Hey JD, after a few flights mine starting going all over the place like you showed.....any ideas what the issue is?
Hey Leslie not yet mate, I'm.putting it down to bad firmware as it's done it a few times in 0 wind or environmental factors. All motors seem to be fine, balanced and outputting the right voltage. Transmitter again is working well, cant find any other issue at the moment. If I do I'll make a video and explain it.
How about durability of motors..? Bcoz it brushed.. I only play 1 times visuo xs816 then not function anymore
Hello, after 12 flights im finding the motors to still work well.
Fortunately I'm not a reviewer and so I wouldn't have tested it in those conditions. It seemed to cope reasonably well in spite of the weather but I'll wait for tests in better conditions

Hey David, if the wifi module in your phone is 5G compatible then you should be fine.
No optical flow (but it has a hole where they could put it) and the other two things are just LEDs (not sensors)

Those are just 2 lights on the bottom side. The one spot by itself has nothing in it. This drone has no optical or echo sensors. It only has gyro stabilization for flight stability and GPS for flight stability.

Good review.but I do prefer mjx bugs 5w .its the motors that turn me off .I always stick with brushless seem to get better power

In total agreement, (just realised who I’m replying to mate !) my other gripe is this total continuous bombardment with 5g WiFi, the budget manufacturers seem to be turning their back on 5.8g. MJX used to sell the separate 5.8 camera if you remember
Totally see your point bud, I don't mind brushed or brushless but if it was a true low budget drone then it would be a lot cheaper. I would much prefer to see 5.8Ghz than 5G all the time. Thanks Bryan bud 👍😊

How does it stack up to the Bugs 4W?
Hey Charles I've not flown the B4W yet so can't comment for now. I'll let you know once I have.
Bugs 4w is by far the better aircraft. Buy the z5 don’t let the remote fool you. They are nearly the same drones.

What one would you pick your opinion matter's I was thinking about the holy stone 120 d with GPS seems to be alright not to be brushless I don't mind the price is 150 dollars and 10 coupon making it 140 dollars I luv too fly at night time the bugs is cheaper than the holy stone I'll take something off to be able to make the 250 grams which one would be better for me the mjx bug's or the holy stone I have a bolt bee drone and it does very well its more like a small race drone it has never given me any trouble the motors are still working fine after a year of use could go for a new set of drones battery there getting week because all the flying I have done only paid 50 dollars for the holy stone makes great products I just don't no which one too buy either the bugs which is only a hundred dollars with a couple batteries but the little holy stone 120 d I like the features it has it on 150 dollars and comes with one battery please let me no your opinion matter's too me and information would be appreciated Mike Holden out of north Carolina said that
Hey Michael, the 120d is meant to be a nice quadcopter, its not one i've flown unfortunately. What i would say is that i've flown this MJX quadcopter a fair few times since this video and have seen some strange flying form it now and again. If you look at Quadcopter 101 reviews his flying environments are the flattest most featureless landscapes out there,even he can’t achieve manufacturers claims so to blame failure on natures surroundings is wrong, basically they just tell whopping lies!!

I just received a X103W and it is the worst flyer with the worst video of all of the UAVs we have used and tested. The terrible results were surprising because our B4W works well except for the poor video quality. This is going back for a refund or credit towards another B4W. This was of interest because it weighs less than 250g , has electronic cam tilting and landing/search lights. If you are considering the 103W just pay a little more and get the B4W or a DJI UAV.
What a bad deal for the drone enthusiast, MJX tries to sell us another drone without a gimbal and the price is bull Sh. We want to purchase but try to sell junk to the enthusiast is not good business.Way over prices we don't like being called sucker.
