Weird. Driving around & around in a walking city (crosswalks exist for a reason btw) and in the burbs. Doesn’t differentiate between Cranston, RI & Maine. No evidence of prior research or even mention of any associated special interests-probably no clue about history of working waterfront either. Zero interest in local culture, music scene, has no experience living here b4 (during any previous decade) but somehow knows it’s gone to crap over time. 😵💫also didn’t go to any nearby beaches, no trips to countless islands, no boat ride, nearby woods etc.. even really basic travelers would know to get crab sandwich, lobster roll, steamers whatever. Thinks food is same in Portland as in CA, though they’re on two different oceans. SMH. Foodie town even if seafood isn’t your thing. There’s lots of reasons that city is flooded with visitors year round, but he’s probably totally clueless about that too. Excellent guide to go somewhere without having a single travel experience. Heaven forbid he set foot in Longfellow’s, but would probably complain about having too many books. Might as well have just visited Walmarts & eaten at McDonalds.
our city is doing nothing to take care of our homeless its insanely terrible we are ALL not happy about it, as well as being the most gentrified city in northern new england...
As we know, “asylum seekers” are their #1 priority as that expands the democratic voting pool. And yes, otherwise Portland and its residents are in a dysfunctional dynamic between a small New England city and an influx of the wealthy from out of state.
Get the out or try to help if it’s so embarrassing. U literally drove by the homeless shelter and a couple ppl down on their luck u gotta talk shit???? Stay in Canada

It’s coming to every city or small town that was formerly spared of these inflictions as a result of democratic agendas. They want society to fall apart so that people become reliant upon the government.
Went to a lobster festival back in October. Didnt like the city in its current state. Its a historical American city and not ONE American flag to be found anywhere. Just toxic rainbow and BLM. Even the post office didnt have a USA flag. Disgraceful.

Welcome to my town!! I actually live in a decent part of South Portland, but the homeless / drug issue is terrible in Portland. Don't be walking there at night!
I've never felt threatened by any homeless people walking around Portland, but I am a large enough man I guess. There isn't anywhere in Portland that's nearly as dangerous as neighborhoods in many other cities. I'd say don't walk barefoot and carry mace if you're a woman just in case, but we have extremely low violent crime and when it does happen it's usually domestic.
Cool. Now do the same video for the poor parts of Miami and Orlando. I lived in FL 25 years ago and I’ll bet not much has been to some of the thriving communities around Kissimmee. 😂
maine is very safe, portland not so much compared to the rest of maine, trust me still very safe compared to other places, but portland is maines boston in every way, in recent years only the rich have gotten richer and the poor have gotten poorer, locals are leaving and masshles are coming to rent 1bed apt's for 3k a mnnth and it ruins the rent for everyone else, we are going thru huge issues figurinng out how much landlords are allowed to raise rent, we have a vote coming up in just a couple of weeks
Slow done their Y'all, It was all over when you said Detriot was a nice place? As for Florida, its, turning into a cookie cutter HOA, clearcutting, F nature wasteland. Take it or leave it. Remember Maine is about the outdoors. SO get out and hike a trail or two and work on that chunker life style. Thanks for emphasizing the ugly side NOT!

You literally parked in the lot of a day shelter across from a night shelter of course ther are goi g to be homeless people ther. Not even 10 as far as i saw. Portland per square ft median real estate cost is higher then Miami at city many consider hip and desirable. Portland is a service center for all of York and Cumberland County meaning homeless folks go ther from all over the state for services. Yall are debating Ohio like it matters the point is your so neg your viewrs think your.old last should leave you.
The homeless population is out of control. City "Leaders" have no idea how to handle it. Its not safe anymore and so sad. They care more about asylum seekers who have taken over the expo, surrounding area and schools, hospitals. Some in need and most taking advantage of free food, shelter, phone, health care. The police have fireworks being shot at them and they cant do a thing because of woke, juvenile, city leaders taking control. The homeless are taking over parks business area's and just like San Fran business are hurting. The life of Portland is being slowly sucked out of it and there is no coming back from it. Could have been the best city in the North East but not anymore. Its time to wake up and take pride and care of our city and state. Focus on real issues and not social political bs. I thought Maine was better than that but its time to wake up, put this "woke", social political made up non issues that were never a problem in much of anywhere to and end and get tough again before its too late.

I lived there for a long time. I don't miss it. Although, South Portland is much better for living. It's not surprising to see all the troon flags in the Old Port.
So many homeless nowadays. Just 5 years ago the homeless population was around 1k. now its 4k. You should've gone by the highway there is a HUGE homeless camp with 100+ tents
That little parking area next to Jay's Oyster is a secret spot. You aren't allowed to park there, but it's impossible to tow you out, and it's private so you can't get ticketed.
Haha! Yup, none of my friends or family even drive through Portland anymore. We all used to do things in the city all the time. Now it’s just crazy people, homelessness, and “asylum seekers.” Meanwhile everything is run down and small businesses have disappeared.

No in Portland about 8 yrs ago they did a huge dump of African immigrants in the city, they had no clue it was coming, had No clue what to do. It was part of the reset of white America by Obama, Maine had no idea what to do. They did it to Stamford also Our Govt just dropped 2500 Guatamalans in our city in a week, we just had no idea nor what to do or how to house them and it turned houses no 5 family houses took over stores to places with chicken feet in them, they were walking the streets stealing grocery carts. We just had no idea nor a place to put them.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Read about it, it's well published. What's interesting is that the homeless population in say, Pasco/Hernando County consists of virtually 0 asylum seekers--which means that they can most likely all legally work, provided anyone wanted to hire them and they actually wanted to work. And there are jobs available. Not the case in Portland, ME, which is half the size (population) of Spring Hill, to put into perspective. Portland just completed housing for some of these folks, which leaves the homegrown homeless out in the cold. Portland is also experiencing a rent affordability and availability crisis for those that are gainfully employed. I like your videos, but this one is under researched prior to filming. You trash talking the high and drug using homeless in Maine underscores critical sentiment issued by the alt-right on immigrants--because you were just trash talking asylum seekers--which I know was not your original intention....

😂You want to tour a real crap hole? Drive throughout Oakland, CA. I lived in Pompano Beach and Hollywood for 4 years: hot and humid every, single day; rains nearly every evening; three clear beautiful days in January; huge bugs, especially cockroaches; canal rats the size of cats; tropical storms that are terrifying; hurricanes. Everybody seems to hang out on the street and smoke dope. Loud, all-night parties. Bicycling doesn’t count in Florida because it’s FLAT. In Canada they eat more real food; in this country people eat sh*t that belongs in a dumpster. We eat PRODUCT; Canadians eat more FOOD. Even food made by US firms are more nutritious than what they sell to us. What’s embarrassing is all the graffiti everywhere. You don’t see that in places like Japan.

Lewiston Maine, truly the gem of the state
It was insane to let in all Somalians to Lewiston yes. The politicians are destroying alot of things.
Really? Lewiston is still a dump; Auburn has become a nice small city and outclasses Lewiston easily.
LOL! That "aggressive" driver is all day every day here in L.A. Looks like a nice clean town. Thanks for the tour.
Fr I prefer cooler weather or chilly weather unless I'm going to the beach lol. Hot and humid weather just make you feel tired because it zap the energy out of you.
Someone from Florida of all places talking down on Maine. lol
Talking less would improve your content...trying to help you.
My ex had a sister that lived in the "slum" in Keene, N.H. It was nicer than any place I ever saw growing up.
Keene is a nice small city %100. beautiful downtown with pretty surroundings.
our city is doing nothing to take care of our homeless its insanely terrible we are ALL not happy about it, as well as being the most gentrified city in northern new england...
Not true about the homeless. The city and state are working to solve the problem. Instead of complaining engage with your community!
"not true" state some damn evidence lady, im right and youre wrong, grow up, the statement im making is not controversial..@@karengerace7506
As we know, “asylum seekers” are their #1 priority as that expands the democratic voting pool. And yes, otherwise Portland and its residents are in a dysfunctional dynamic between a small New England city and an influx of the wealthy from out of state.
Driving a car in a city for less than an hour makes you an expert on Portland, ME?? Really. I live in Portland. You don't have a clue.
Get the out or try to help if it’s so embarrassing. U literally drove by the homeless shelter and a couple ppl down on their luck u gotta talk shit???? Stay in Canada
I’ve been there in Portland, Maine and in all the six New England states. I live in Maryland but would like to move up to Maine someday. It’s clean and peaceful up there. It has it all being on the northeast coast. Florida is great too as I’ve been all over the Sunshine State. I like palm trees but it’s just too hot and humid don’t there for me. 😃👍🏻🇺🇸
This city looks beautiful like a nice place to raise kids safe calm quiet clean the stores dont even have cages and no garbage in the streets nobody coming up to your window at red lights asking for money or tryna sell u shit
It isnt
When will you cover the other Portland? (Oregon)
Hopefully soon
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Cool! I've been there. It used to be a nice town now its a dump.
I hate the people saying “ yeah we have a homeless problem but it isn’t like LA” or “yeah we have crime but it isn’t Detroit” that kind of thinking is what ruined those cities
Well, I get where your coming from but no. Neo liberalism destroyed those cities
It’s coming to every city or small town that was formerly spared of these inflictions as a result of democratic agendas. They want society to fall apart so that people become reliant upon the government.
i love Portland .. Been in this area for20 years. Homelessness and refugees are a challenge but love it
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS that is mean-spirited ..
Lewiston has gone to crap with shootings even before this massive shooting happened.
Ohio or Sarasota?? Naples???? Thats hilarious, Ohio is miserable
I go walking here in Downtown Fort Myers quite a bit everything's close by.

No wonder their what? WICKED FAT?????? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Went to a lobster festival back in October. Didnt like the city in its current state. Its a historical American city and not ONE American flag to be found anywhere. Just toxic rainbow and BLM. Even the post office didnt have a USA flag. Disgraceful.
Lived on a coast guard cutter at Maine State Pier mid '60's felt like it was 1850 - very different from FLA , Portland has character , very nice place .
Wait till you see the coastal maine videos we did. Its like stuck in time in a good way
you should have gone srtaight at the dunkins at woodfords corner, you would have gotten the back cove scenic route baxter blvd
Woodfords corner is so drab though
The words sound real funny as they get distorted through those heavy jowls, on their way out.
Ain’t heart disease a bitch, y’all!? 🤣🤣
This was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. You need driving lessons. You're a menace.😆🤣🤣
Canada doesn't have the beach on the east side so they walk in their cities, Maine , New Hamshire go out to the coast.
We have beaches on Lake Hurin, Ontario, Erie. We also have beaches on the Pacific coast in NC, and the Atlantic coast in Nova Scotia, PEI, etc...
Welcome to my town!! I actually live in a decent part of South Portland, but the homeless / drug issue is terrible in Portland. Don't be walking there at night!
The lobster was amazing 🦞😊
I was laughing when he was driving by the homeless resource center😂
I've never felt threatened by any homeless people walking around Portland, but I am a large enough man I guess. There isn't anywhere in Portland that's nearly as dangerous as neighborhoods in many other cities. I'd say don't walk barefoot and carry mace if you're a woman just in case, but we have extremely low violent crime and when it does happen it's usually domestic.
lol you might get hassled for a cigarette at night, I wouldn't walk alone if you're a lady, but that's the same in every city
@@michaelathearn5498Cumberland Ave, Pickle Park or Casco Bay Bridge lol

Portland is constantly in transition and currently its expanding in population faster than infrastructure was designed. Yes ,it has big city problems, huge LGBTQ community and it is a sanctuary city. Take it or leave it. Remember Maine is about the outdoors. SO get out and hike a trail or two and work on that chunker life style. Thanks for emphasizing the ugly side NOT!
You finally made to the best city with no questions ask? If you find a nice city like portland safe let me know. I have been looking for a city like portland but warm for years, can’t find it anywhere

Just so close to interesting. Not bored enough to watch it!
👍💥🎯
Looks a lot nicer than Portland Oregon!
Hits quite a few places that the several other logs did not, but garbled gabble is sick. How'd u get through the third grade? You'd be right at home in Maine. Walls around nothing. Great views for sick eyes.
I lived there for a long time. I don't miss it. Although, South Portland is much better for living. It's not surprising to see all the troon flags in the Old Port.
You should do Biddeford Maine that's dumpy.
Better yet Bangor, one of the nastiest places in the state.
Lmao, that’s nothing. Have you been to Seattle? Also Canada has a homeless problem too. 😂
were going soon, we have been in 36 states.. this isnt exactly a good scene in your town so dont compare
So many homeless nowadays. Just 5 years ago the homeless population was around 1k. now its 4k. You should've gone by the highway there is a HUGE homeless camp with 100+ tents
Dang thats sad. Every state now
Was there really no fat people in Canada??
That little parking area next to Jay's Oyster is a secret spot. You aren't allowed to park there, but it's impossible to tow you out, and it's private so you can't get ticketed.
Think you need to change your coolaid. What you're drinking is effecting your ability to make a decent video.
Got plenty of views that was the goal 😎🤷🏼
Silly comments. Mainers have different ideas about what to do outside than walk down a sidewalk in Portland.
portland is a wreck. but dude you are literally filming the homeless shelter lol
people love that, i do entire homeless camp tours in Florida where i live now
Haha! Yup, none of my friends or family even drive through Portland anymore. We all used to do things in the city all the time. Now it’s just crazy people, homelessness, and “asylum seekers.” Meanwhile everything is run down and small businesses have disappeared.
One of several...
What make you think portland Maine suck?
Watch and hear 😅
My phone went to crap…watching this video
My bank account went up thanks to this video
and you're WRONG on the diversity. We now have representatives in large numbers from MANY nations and they ALL look and act out of place.
go to toronto or vancouver bro then tell me how great canada is... also drive along the waterfront its nice as hell in portland. you went to the one area of portland that is in front of the homeless shelter
That's not a horse you smell it's the ocean. Do u realize how much you repeat yourself? Canada has plenty of drugs and homeless people. Vancouver? Toronto? MONTREAL? Quebec City?
Cool Vibes Family keep the videos coming
Thank you sir
Those people in Irontown probably own a restaurant.
The people of Portland need to stop and take a hard look at themselves. It’s not family friendly when people are doing frogs and all cracked out all around you. Thats the issue look at the mirror Portland and fix your city.
I heard Portland was a nice neat city.
Ya drug use in the us is outta control. Alot of it boils down to culture. A stronger boarder would help too. Don't see much any that out in open stuff or homeless out in open where I'm from at least
The drug problems os getting worse and worse everywhere. Crime is soaring in the us. Homicides are up 10% so far this year from Jan 1 thru April 30. Over 25000 homicides last year in us
There used to be open air drug parks in Europe.. people forget quickly
People in Portland mostly fish and walk the beach not the streets.
no we do not mostly fish, that has been retired for the most part for some time now, its not even top 10 anymore for jobs, or how the city makes money
we walk the streets, the only beach in the city is small and overcrouded in the warm months
Little Diamond Island, Portland, Maine
No in Portland about 8 yrs ago they did a huge dump of African immigrants in the city, they had no clue it was coming, had No clue what to do. It was part of the reset of white America by Obama, Maine had no idea what to do. They did it to Stamford also Our Govt just dropped 2500 Guatamalans in our city in a week, we just had no idea nor what to do or how to house them and it turned houses no 5 family houses took over stores to places with chicken feet in them, they were walking the streets stealing grocery carts. We just had no idea nor a place to put them.
Interesting since population has been flat since 1940s. Local told me jobs left. Marine and government
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS why is that most everywhere else it grown.
You trash talking the high and drug using homeless in Maine underscores critical sentiment issued by the alt-right on immigrants--because you were just trash talking asylum seekers--which I know was not your original intention....
youre right, us and a city in texas i cant remember which were the only ones to take in thousands, im glad we are so kind but damn other cities need to take refugees too we cant deal with it all, portland maine has had more peeople than it was planned for, for over 10 years, only in thr past few years has it goteen so so so much more over populated, we need more jobs, more schools, more sheltersm more social recources for homeless

Being in maine ain't portland..blame the democrats + General Mills

Why would someone from NYC move to Portland 😅😅😅😅😅 you crack me up. Maine is losing population in its large cities no growth the sea related industries have left and the towns are barely holding on.
That is a MAGA moron comment. The North East is Democratic, liberal and free. It’s not Florida or the Deep South fake conservative fascist racist Nazi States.
It’s Massachusetts people. In New England we call southern Maine an extension of Massachusetts.
13:36 When I went on tour in Portland Maine, this was the only neighborhood we had to almost fight a homeless guy over me not giving him cigarettes. And this was in 2014, I can't imagine 9 years later. It's probably insane now.
Now we just don’t even walk down the street. Ever! There’s nowhere to go anymore regardless. The city is trash.
