@@lotrlcgsolo5737It was the first expansion for the game, so a lot of people bought it, and then got turned off by the difficulty, particularly Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister, as well as most of the schemes. If I remember correctly, the player base dropped pretty dramatically for several mini expansions afterwards, but Upper Deck corrected the difficulty spike with both the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man expansions afterwards, while both had difficult schemes and masterminds (Galactus, and Carnage respectively) the other two Masterminds were better introductory Masterminds than the core games base Mastermind, Red Skull. I still use Mysterio as the first Mastermind for any new players that I'm showing the game too
Ah, interesting. Yea in both Marvel Champions LCG and Lord of the Rings LCG the difficulty could vary pretty wildly from expansion to expansion. I may check out the Marvel Deck Building Game at some point, it's on my list.
How you describe the Galaxy's Most Wanted expansion reminds me of the Dark City expansion from the Marvel Deck Building Game, Legendary
Interesting, was that a popular expansion among players?

Some of the basic cards are available in hero packs or expansion boxes. Some can only be found one place.
