you should eat american (canadian) food for some (little) time and you will definitely understand why Romanian food is better. If you want, you can try this: go to MacDonalds and try to eat something (if you can). Now, the MacDonalds food might taste better in Romania than in USA/Canada because it is probably prepared with Romanian products (meat, etc.), which are surely a lot better than american ones. Anyways, I have read a lot of American's opinions about Romanian food (some of them I know) and you know what all of them say ? That it is a crime to eat MacDonald's food in Romania when you have lots and lots of true restaurants where you can eat good Romanian food.
Thats how hospitality should look like .. everywhere on the streets they’re just so kind and good people. One of the safest country in the world no doubt . What do you thing guys ? Thank you for letting people know how Romanian really is ✌🏻
I love the quietness of the countryside. I have never been to Roemenie before. 1 day i will buy a house overthere. I love the video's they make. I love mici also with mustard.
I am glad to see that so many foreign tourists enjoy Romania, but Romania is not only Transylvania. I am sad, because Moldova remains unsettled. Piatra Neamt, Suceava are very beautiful, and here the monasteries are unique, true jewelry and food is also awesome
Hey guys, my wife and I are touring Romania currently. If you’re still here, let’s have lunch or dinner. Mici and Palinca are at the top of my list! I was born in Romania yet moved to USA at the age of 9 and my wife is American.
Hey you guys, since you are again in Romania you can go visit Deva and Hunedoara to see the Corvin Castle. We are Romanians from Deva living in Sacramento, Ca since '95. We appreciate that you love our beautiful country. Welcome back " Be blessed! Happy travel Il
I know you guys been debating on who's more Romanian and I gotta say... Steve is more Romanian than me. I've only ever seen my almost 60 y/o dad mix his meals like that, and the singing to the hills caused by Palinca? Yeah, that's Romanian behavior right there.
Incredible scenery and brilliant drone footage. Such a beautiful part of a country. Many thanks for such an enjoyable time coming along on this trip, Steve lvana. ❤️
beautiful small village, miss Romania, been there last year with my wife, been to big cities/towns and popular attractions, totally going back and do road trips like you guys, thanks for your videos
Steve, I think you'll end up by moving at the our countryside , raising sheeps and cows and eating cheese and mamaliga and mici all day long. And Ivana preparing zacusca and donuts....🥰🤗
Just returned from harvesting the vineyard on the countryside to make must for wine and I see you guys enjoying fresh air in the mountains at an air bnb with an orchard, garden, farm, the whole shebang. You guys picked the perfect moment to return, autumn is harvest season for almost everything, veggies, fruits and, of course, wine, țuică and liqueors! Maybe you get the chance to experience it, the winemaking or brandy boiling. Enjoy the breathtaking view!
Love how you are already picking up Romanian words. I've seen your Brașov livestream too, but forgot to comment, so doing 2in1. You definitely have to go back as it's lovely. That's my hometown and I miss it so much. Hope you feel better now
Hi guys! One of the most adorable videos so far. The "in ... satellite" is genuine, you're one the few who know that words. You're indeed fast on the way to becoming romanian. Love to have you here!
Guys take a detour! Praid salt mine, Turda salt mine, Aries valley and then Alba Iulia! you will thank me later! There’s a lot to see on this route besides salt mines witch are beautiful ( Bears Cave, Scarisoara Cave, Vartop ice top) Then you can go on Transalpina(king’s road) and stop at Dedulesti( “the factory mici😂)
I visited that area when I was a kid and our teacher took us camping. Sadly, they would need a lot more than a day to experience those places, and maybe a guide to fully enjoy the caves
A few minutes into this vlogg am already loving it! Thats why we love JLW's vlogs and travelling with you guys. In love with the views❤❤❤❤❤. TQ Steve & Ivana💗
Welcome back! If you pass by Blaj (i'm guessing you're going to Brasov) stop by the city center called Piata 1848, it looks immaculate, there's also a 600 years old tree in Blaj, called Avram Iancu's Oak. If you do go to Brasov and you're into geological features, you might want to see "Pietrele lui Solomon", Caniounul Sapte Scari, Valea Cetății Cave. ps: Alba Iulia's Carolina Fortress, it is freaking huge, largest in Romania, on foot it would take you at least two hours to visit most of it.
Fast forward to the year 2050: Famous TH-camrs Steve & Ivana open farm-to-table restaurant and guest house in rural Romanian village. Steve says his wife is the chef at the best restaurant in town "JLW Cafe". Meanwhile, Steve runs the local food truck serving chimney cake, palinka and fresh-brewed coffee!
Near Rimetea there is a village named Sub Piatra, there you can find Huda lui Papara, which is a giant stone cave in the mountain with the largest bat population in europe, it’s pretty awesome, it’s also on wiki
Hi guys 😊 good to know that you love my country with it's beautiful places indeed it worth to visit it coz it's a beautiful country and was excited to know that you love mici a traditional food over there enjoy and have fun over there greetings from France 🇲🇫
You gays show the world how beautiful Romania is an underestimated country that will become very touristic very soon thanks for what you are doing and enjoy.
i am so glad u are showing the rural part of romania, most people think Romania is all about Bucharest, Cluj and Iasi. The true beuty of this country stands with its wildlife and rural areas.
always love to see your videos!!❤ if you ever go to suceava which i recomand totally (castle and a lot of monesteries and culture), my sister can show you around. much love and have fun in romania!
I don't know what your schedule is like and where else in RO you are going but either this trip or the next go visit also southern Romania. In particular Cheile Nerei, Cheile Bicazului (amazing to drive through), the Danube (where the giant statue of Decebal's head is) :) Happy you guys are back!
Fruit on the side of the road throughout the Niagara region - scenic routes, quaint little towns and picture-perfect villages…”Ontario, yours to discover” is so true; all you need to do is avoid the major highways; touring the Lake Huron and Lake Superior shores is magical😊
Beautiful scenery! It is truly Romania's SWITZERLAND! ...and you ended up in a hungarian village and a hungarian family in the middle of Romania! The village exists since the Roman Empire in the 1st century, cca 90-100AD (Roman Dacia), but its hungarian inhabitants exist since 9-10th century, when the magyars occupied the Carpathians basin. "KEREKES" is a hungarian word! Beautiful experience! LOVE your drone images! Breathtaking! Keep it up! Enjoy your stay guys!
Hungary today up to the Tisza was a Dacian territory, from which we are proud to draw, we have traditions from dacian times and as a historian said, Latin is the precursor of the Dacian language, so we are here before the Hungarian invaders
You should go to the Cabana Malaiesti (Malaiesti hut) in spring or summer when everything its green. Its a 2 hour hike and its amazing, probably the bes view in the country. Its close to Sinaia
Doesn’t matter where it is,nothing is better than life in a small town. It’s a bonus if it’s in a beautiful location like this one. It’s so weird and a bit ironic too I think to be bumping into that man who moved to Detroit while you guys were talking about moving to his gorgeous little town. That chimney cake is so interesting.Im very sure I would love it.
Hey guys, nice to see you envoying Romania. Your videos are very envoyable to watch as well. I know you visited Maramures county the first time you were in Romania but there are other things to do there besides the ones you already did. Such as Mocanita train ride in Viseu and also the Arts and Crafts Guesthouse in Baia Sprie wich has rustic décorations and where you can see the pottery artist’s Daniel Les’s work and you can also take lessons in his pottery workshop. He is such an amazing human beeing and has a true romanian spirit connected with nature.
Yes it is.. I rented the same car for 33euro/day at the end of August... Traveled to Mărişel and Rimetea too... I was ahead of you .. hahaha.. fellow canadians... no pun intended!😅 Btw.. where did you rent the car from for 25...? You are very natural and Ivana's reading in romanian is very good.. congratulations (to both of you) Enjoy the time spent there!🤞
Yes, I knew I visited Rîmetea and we spent an afternoon there with that view but with a little better weather. Its the place to start hiking and climbing the so called Szekely Rock(Piatra Secuiului) and its in Alba county, next to the 2 counties populated mostly by szekely, a people related to the magyar/hungarian one.
Ce sa vada? Niste ruine ramase dupa nesimtirea celor din primarie si guvern, poate si nepasarea oamenilor....pacat de comoara ce era odata Herculane...
I just stayed in Romania for 2 months and if the world doesn't go crazy next year I will go and spend one whole year in Romania.
The world is already crazy. Romania is the place to get away from the insanity.
@@shockandawe7274 ❤ such true!
You are already romanian frate

It's getting close, any change of plans?

While in Romania you can try "galuste cu prune", a desert popular in autumn. They are dumplings filled with plums.
They’re called Gomboți
Delicoasele galusti cu prune!!! Da, trebuie sa le guste.
I recommend you to visit the Bear's cave "Ursului". There were the cave "Ialomița" or "the cave of the Muierii"
thank you❤️
This reminds me of Switzerland….beautiful
Except Switzerland is 10x more expensive, services are crap and native Swiss are quite constipated 😆
Only with friendly people, nice vibe and decent prices 😅
