Hi guys! You deserve an honorary citizenship from the Romanian government. Guys, you do so much for my country Romania, now you have a Romanian identity in yourself.
Romanians really appreciate the natural taste of fruits, that is the reason why your host gives you apples. It is a sign of friendship and respect. You were welcome!
The last minute of the video in which the guy offers you guys some apples represents the Romanian attitude against all foreigners like no joke, as long as foreigners come on a friendly visit they will be much respected. Thank you, guys!
I am so glad you've visited Piatra Neamt, the city where I was born and raised. Thank you for everything and we are waiting you to come back every time with smiles on our faces.
I like that you go now beyond the mainstream tourist attraction and try new places which are not presented usually by foreign vloggers. Congratulations, I appreciate this a lot.
I remember being in Neamț in winter when I was little, my family and I also took the cable cars uphill and ate at the same restaurant you guys did. Beautiful times..
Hello guys! The masks you saw there Steve were used also in very dark and dangerous times. In 1241 a huge invasion of Mongols destroyed every single medieval state built in what is now Russia and Ukraine, crushed every single Polish fortress and finally arrived in our lands. The history did not retained the name of the individual who asked his fellows to were these masks along with as many bells possible. When the Mongols appeared with their army composed only by horse riders, Romanians came in front of them wearing this "equipment". Mongols were scared of the ghosts of the woods. More than that, their horses became impossible to be controlled and ran in all directions, making useless any war plan. Without throwing a single arrow, the battle was won. Masks like these ones can be found in Maramures county also. Those are bigger and scarier and have a different spiritual role. They are used to scare bad spirits to enter in our world wearing the role of guardians, sort of spiritual sanitizers. I don't know if you guys realized until now but Romanians welcome every single individual who shows heart and spirit. And it is not a façade. It is something deep, common to all the people who lived in this world, in the same places, for a long time. This is the key of our surviving on these lands after all kind of catastrophic invasions from all the cardinal points. Facing kindness, some the invaders finished by finding a place in this old society and becoming Romanians themselves while adding a part of their individuality to the nation. There were other conquerors who did not fall in this "trap" and they left their bones in our soil because my people know how to defend themselves.
Guys, I am smiling as I am writing this comment and you put that smile on my face! Thank you for that. Hearing you ordering in Romanian is just mind blowing!! I feel really bad for you not being able to have mici but by the looks of it, you enjoyed that `tochitura`. And at the end you've got free fresh apples. Cannot get any better than that! 🙂 P.S.: Ivana, you look great wearing that yellow Romanian `IE` (shirt).
We were glad that you visited Moldova a bit. If we knew you were coming to our parts, we would have been happy to show you the main attractions. I am from Piatra Neamț and my husband from Bacău. Thank you for visiting our country!🙏👍🇹🇩
I can't believe that you have also arrived in Piatra Neamt, my hometown😁I'm glad to see that you felt good in my hometown😁🤗👍Tochitura is one of our very tasty traditional dishes, only that it must be eaten at restaurants with reputation so that you can really appreciate the taste..unfortunately, where you ate Tochitura is only a seasonal restaurant😁 and the quality of the food is a little lower. Anyway, I'm sure that Tochitura was more delicious than Mici with rice🤣🤣 🤣.. Mici are only eaten with mustard and bread😁💪💪👍👍. I hope you continue to enjoy the wonderful places of Romania! Have a good trip!👋
Hello guys! You can also visit the south -west side of Romania such as Cazanele Dunarii , Decebalus statue and the whole Danube area there which is such an amazing place , also the cities of Craiova , the capital of Oltenia region with alot of museums and one of the bigest parks in Europe and Targu -Jiu , the city of one of the most famous sculpture artist Constantin Brancusi. I hope you see my comment and take that in mind. Enjoy u're stay here in Romania and good luck
I also ate mici with rice. I was a poor student and I oftenly ate at the students canteen/ cafeteria 2 mici with rice cooked in Serbian style. It was delicious, very cheap & filling.
Just wow ! The Bicaz place is a hidden gem. Never seen that spot before. Amd what a wonderful surprise on the Popa's museum! I have been filming the museum for a project when I was in high-school like 20 years ago. It was presented by the old folks, they had a special charisma! I am so happy you came to Piatra-Neamt, the place where I was borned, raised and still living! Piatra-Neamt is more about the landscapes around the city than things to see in city apart from the City Centre. You could have gone to Batca Doamnei, a hill not far away to see the ruins of ancient Petrodava, or at the small dam. Fantastic sunsets! Or on the top of Pietricica, the small mountain in the middle of the city, there is a road, also a nice view up here. It is beautiful city but unfortunately it has no prospects for development. Piatra-Neamt is a city nestled between the mountains, the streets are pretty much like 50 years ago so it very crowded at some times. There is not much industry also. Next year I will go to College in Iasi probably, to continue my studies (I want Computer Science) and I don`t really plan to come back here afterwards.

If you are still in the area, I strongly recommend going for a hike on Ceahlău mountain. Park the car in Durau, and go for 1 hour hike to cabana Fântânele. Spend there the night, it is gorgeous. Then, the next day, hike to cabana Dochia. You can spend the night there, or go up and down in the same day.

@@didkaivanova3656 I just send them a message and recommended them Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo,Treavna, Gabrovo, Sofia, Rila. Maybe Burgas can be visited better in the summer.
First time comment. First of all absolutely amazing footage. You show Romania in completely different light. As for Ivana it's called color blindness. Some people view colors differently. A quick test at the eye doctor for it and they can recommend if needed special glasses which enhance some colors so people who have color blindness can see colors as they're. I only know this because I've noticed this with my sister. She was seeing dark blue as green. And for a long time I thought she's messing with me or trying to see what I say, but nope she really couldn't see dark blue as dark blue. To her it was just a different shade of green. That's mainly why I commented. I prefer to relax and enjoy the content.
Hi Guys! Thanks for visiting my country! I am really glad you like it so much. I love your vlogs. If you'll come to Bucharest, i can recommend you a nice restaurant called "La Mama", very close to Piata Romana. A big like from me, from the UK! P.S. mici with stew???? That's a bastfemy! 😄.... Try mici with mustard, bread and (a lot of) beer. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
If you continue the road trip in Moldova region of Romania, you should go to Rădăuți where was invented the ciorba rădăuțeană(similar to tripes ciorba) and after to visit the monasteries region,Putna.Enjoy your trip you guys.
Just a helpful comment, anytime u see the word Tocat or toca on a menu it means meat that has been chopped into stir fry like chunks. In this case it was tocature or sometimes you’ll see toconita. Hope that helps
Steve didn't it occur to you that the lovelibIvana might have just wanted to eat rice with the mici regardless of how it's suppose to be eaten. Terima Kasih for sharing how lovely and beautiful Piatra Neam is. 💗💗💗
Very nice to see people from other countries visiting Piatra Neamt. I was born ther and used to live there, but I moved to Germany because of some reasons :>
You should definitely visit the famous Endless Column and the "Gate Of The Kiss" at Targu Jiu By Constantin Brâncuși. Brâncuși was one of the most well known and respected sculptor of his time, nicknamed as the "patriarch of modern sculpture" a MUST VISIT

Hehe...I was just asking yesterday if you tried Tochitura but this is not even the original one!😋😍😎you should of eat it with pickles!
Hello, guys! I myself am from Piatra Neamț! Just wanted to let you know that we appreciate everything you do for our city and country. THANK YOU!!!
That is a pretty sad looking tochitura. Traditionally the most important thing of tochitura is the juice. It's a stew with a thick sauce.
I hope you will visit Bulgaria soon. I think you will like it here😊You are wonderful!🔝
I also hope, I recommended them to visit Ruse, since is so close to Bucharest. @JetLag Warriors
@Bogdan Patrut Yes, it is beautiful in Ruse. I am from Burgas and there are many places to visit here as well😊
@@didkaivanova3656 I just send them a message and recommended them Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo,Treavna, Gabrovo, Sofia, Rila. Maybe Burgas can be visited better in the summer.
I've never tried mici with soup but must be interesting 🤔 😅
My beautiful town, Piatra Neamt, I really miss that green 💔
I really appreciate that you come up North.
You guys are awesome and give some good vibes. Lovely city btw.
Hey welcome to my town!
👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️😍😍😍🥰... Beautiful... !!! Thank You ♥️😘
For those that do not know “Neamț” is a nickname given to German people. Piatra Neamț translates as German Stone 😅

Great video 🐉
Nice .....tochitura moldoveneasca...cu mamaliga and yes is a heavy meal but very very good
Steve didn't it occur to you that the lovelibIvana might have just wanted to eat rice with the mici regardless of how it's suppose to be eaten.
Brâncuși was one of the most well known and respected sculptor of his time, nicknamed as the "patriarch of modern sculpture"
a MUST VISIT
Piatra Neamt is the most beautiful city of Romania
