Boston have been on a knife's edge in some of these series, it's great to see them band together as a team to overcome some serious adversity. Can they go undefeated in Stage 3? -F
Honestly, if bdosin didn't play sombra on junkertown, there probably wouldn't have even been a map 5. They could have won convincingly considering where they held boston on defense. London is my team and it's so disappointing watching them make these silly mistakes this stage time and time again. It almost seems like their loss to philly in the stage 2 playoffs just crushed them completely and they never could recover from that.
Want to speak anymore silly-- it easy being Dr Hindsight about Mistake Genji when it harder to keep zen mind in a match but the idea that his Genji is that much of problem is silly.
he doesn't literally mean forget the objective exists. if you think about what he has to say, it makes sense. if you play the objective constantly, you are limiting your fighting space for a couple meters on the payload or a little capture progress while you give the enemy team all the space in the world to outplay you. And sombra WAS a support. Yes the enemy team can deny you access to healthpacks that you hacked and negate your support ability but many things in the game can deny healing to the standard support hero such as antinades and barriers. And by allowing your sombra to be a support by playing off of healthpacks, you give her massive ult charge to one of the most powerful ults in the game, especially against dive comp. All three of the your overwatch content creators are very credible. if you are such an overwatch genius, prove that you've made it to masters and gm like these three and make your own overwatch videos.
I never really liked the term “carry” in the OWL because it kind of implies, from the outside at least, the rest of the team did absolutely nothing. It sounds like they were totally hopeless and the one guy who “carried”, was the only reason why they won. Just my opinion
carry is different in organized sports, no one can win 1 vs 6. The entire team stalled out the point. The word "Clutch" is prolly better than carry, but its not a negative term in this situation
joe smoe I agree, carry should refer solely to when people shotcall perfectly + pop off + peel + enable + leave their team no room for mistakes. The current bar for the word is so low it's laughable.
In MOBA games some heroes are "carries", or even, in normal sports you could say the key star players are carries. Realistically, it means the player who gets propped up to succeed. In Boston, especially with a Sombra who can't really carry but set up her team, Striker/Gamsu Tracer/Winston are the carries. It doesn't necessarily mean the team played badly, but instead that they were made up to be the stars by how the team's resources were allocated. In the past, Dream was pocketed the entire time and Striker still popped off, Dream was the "carry" but everyone knew he got all the help. All in all, nothing negative about it. -F
Strictly, in a MOBA, the carry is the member of the team who is responsible for winning team fights by outputting overwhelming DPS (with the support and help of their team). Which means it's a perfectly suitable term for this situation. The negative connotations come from the fact that some people get it into their heads that being the carry means you did all the work, which is like believing that because you bought a car and drove it to work, you're somehow responsible for having built the car. Unfortunately it's somewhat easy to miscontrue due to the mental image the term might evoke for those not in the know.
I think of the term carry as when your whole team comp is set around one person so that they can kill every thing so if you have all your tanks and supports just trying to set up one dps to kill everything they are the carry even though they didn't do everything by themselves. But the way Boston plays re lies so heavily on teamwork that I think the word carry is used incorrectly in the vid, but the term cab still be used
I'm so proud of Boston and everything they've accomplished. Despite losing one of their star players to what had to have been very upsetting and disappointing circumstances, they rally and overcome. These guys are the epitome of dedication, perseverance and good sportsmanship.
I love watching OWL but i love these analysis just as much. Its just so interesting to break down the micro and macro of what was seconds of thought from the pro players seeing all the crap they have to keep track of is just cool keep it up freedo!
I come back to this everytime when one of Bostons OG's retire...damn I never felt such an amazement in any kind of sport like I did for this team. So..Kellex is our last man standing.
Can’t imagine what Boston had to go through losing Dreamkazpur in such a humiliating way. It’s great to see them banding together and really making a team out of it.
There was a time that I was 12 years old, and I would have smashed that like button every time....or those of you that remember the 5-star system.....or going back far enough, I would have totally purchased a TV guide with an interview with you guys. So what am I trying to say? From all of the 30 somethings that are still technically proficient enough to sit in a high enough rank, yet cannot keep up with forums and professional-level trends, we thank you. We may not smash that like button until it bursts into flames but just know, we do appreciate the in-depth synopsis. Now if you could only convince the community to open their mic and communicate a little more instead of opening it just to call someone a [words], people might actually start having fun again with the game.
I am consistantly impressed by Boston. Stiker is a beast Tracer and I was very happy to see Mistakes step it up and take charge as a great DPS player. The pressure was on and he has played so well.
I could not, for the life of me, figure out how Boston managed to win that last fight while watching it live. Thank you for the breakdown of that and the match in general; these are always incredibly enlightening to watch
this comment is not related to this video but i just want to pitch an idea about ranked system. you've already talked about role q, and why don't we take it further and add different ranking for each role. seems good to me anyway i hope you make a video about it and always keep up the good work. i just love this channel :-)
How about that nyxl stall on junkertown against philly. I think it was sbb and pine as widow. I couldn’t believe they won that round and reverse sweeper philly again
20:54 what was that pulse bomb... literally into a wall no one close enough to even take damage aside from his self. You can rationalize all you want but that was a pretty big throw of an ult... granted tracer does get ult fast still could of done some damage with it instead of tossing it willy nilly.
That stick reminds me of when I try to throw my mech as DVa but my shift still has 1 second on cooldown so I just watch my mech explode against nothing with my jaw dropped.
THIS, Shanghai vs Philly Fusion (Map 5 - Stage 2 I think?) and Dallas Fuel vs Seoul Dynasty (Stage 1) are some of the BEST games I’ve seen. True test of players being pushed to the limit, forcing intense games of Overwatch. I love it.
If you think that shanghai vs fusion was among the best you haven't seen too much. It's stage 1 by the way, stage 2 was a spawncamp stomp. If you want a better Fusion game, you should watch them vs the outlaws (any of the 3) or their playoffs against London, or the Boston match. It is the best Shanghai game though
I love Snillo, but he is maybe one of the top 5 Tracers at best. I still think Saebyeolbe is the best because I'm gonna need to see more than one comeback from striker to change my mind.
In my view they only won ilios because birdring was out, birdring is a god widow, and he can play tracer to an amazingly high level and genji, its what makes London so good, and hooreg is more of a McCree specialist so that's the only reason the reverse sweep happened imo
I still don't like reverse sweeps, I've been on a pro team and know how horrible it feels to know you just need to win even one teamfight on the middle map, and then you are helplessly watching as you get dismantled. It was a good job from Boston but I still have to feel for London
Someone be so kind as to tell me why Striker cried as he carried? Was his team not doing work? I am not in the mood to losten to a 22 minite video about this.
Fuck i know the feels when you have a widow and a sym on your team your are healer and end up using moira to heal and kill because your team gives 0 fucks.
Dude this is actually great! This is tantamount to scoring a touchdown, reaching out to the endless boundary part of the endzone out of bounds, but totally breaking the plane of the forward progress! Yes!!!!! ... what we call here in the us, futbol Americ@n...lol jk ITS FOOTBALL HERE MTHRFCKA!!!! 'MERICA!
Boston have been on a knife's edge in some of these series, it's great to see them band together as a team to overcome some serious adversity. Can they go undefeated in Stage 3? -F
Your Overwatch Its still possible for them to lose. But I dont know which team will clap them.
I didnt see this game, but this amazing video filled me in, thankyou freedo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! p.s. eddie is annoying lol
Honestly, if bdosin didn't play sombra on junkertown, there probably wouldn't have even been a map 5. They could have won convincingly considering where they held boston on defense. What Boston did in this game is what used to make Seoul Dynasty so amazing. Stalling out forever and coming in and winning anyway.
Keenan Sears *Lunatic Hai and OWWC South Korea. Dynasty has been pretty mixed.
WOW, look at Notes pulse bomb denial at 4:52 Insane
Matt Drees jeez that was mad
It's called game sense
nikkakillss Doing a 180 that quickly at the slightest sound of a Tracer blinking is a bit more than gamesense
Yo... That shit was absolutely insane.... He is so underrated imo.
I know I can't imagine how frustrating playing against a dva as good as note must be
This isn’t a “tracer pro analysis” it’s just an analysis of the game
We need more of these analysing videos... I actually learn shit from them
Noah Beckers :) Speak for yourself doll, most of us are like in an OW academy.
I never really liked the term “carry” in the OWL because it kind of implies, from the outside at least, the rest of the team did absolutely nothing. It sounds like they were totally hopeless and the one guy who “carried”, was the only reason why they won. Just my opinion

Stage three has been pretty intense. So many tiebreaker matches.
Boston is the best team at "ping pong" ( Rotating players to contest the point one by one without dying) in OWL by far.
Jeison Regert more like peekaboo
Jeison Regert This used to be Seoul Dynastys best tactic. Now I don't even k ow why I'm still a fan of them...
ReaveIdono because they're fun to watch :) they have alot of promise.
There was a time that I was 12 years old, and I would have smashed that like button every time....or those of you that remember the 5-star system.....or going back far enough, I would have totally purchased a TV guide with an interview with you guys.

All the endless hours of training and dedication lead up to: 0:17
Don’t sleep on Boston. Gamsu and Striker are an amazing pair. I can’t wait for the stage three playoffs.
The league really should hire you to commentate on the live games. Ive yet to see another OW channel that loves the game as much as you do.
My blood pressure at the end of the London match on oasis
It went #up
Aavedon Roy that Mistakes/Striker contesting the point in OT was dope.
I lost my shit when profit sticked the bomb to the wall, and screamed, NOW BOSTON NOW GO!!
I guess you could say it... Rised Up?
(Yes I know the proper tense is 'rose' up)
I screamed WTF ARE YOU DOING
profit probably wished he could have had that one back.
I could not, for the life of me, figure out how Boston managed to win that last fight while watching it live. Thank you for the breakdown of that and the match in general; these are always incredibly enlightening to watch
I think you are right Boston os the most underrated team in the league
Need more videos like this one plz ! Awesome job
Favorite vids from you Freedo
Are we going to talk about Note’s beautiful pulse bomb matrix at 4:53?
Like how they changed Mercy Rez, lets see how long it takes to stop all abilities in the spawn room.
Freedo, you should apply for one of the coaching spots in OWL.
Boston uprising is really rising up the ranks
Can we get other games other than boston uprisings ones
this comment is not related to this video but i just want to pitch an idea about ranked system. you've already talked about role q, and why don't we take it further and add different ranking for each role. seems good to me
anyway i hope you make a video about it and always keep up the good work. i just love this channel :-)
If I cry in a game from playing so good it's because I know this is where I peak and my gaming career will only go downhill from here (T.T)
19:30 They played them like a damn fiddle!
I really wanna see Striker vs. Pine.
I live in MA and this video makes me so happy
this is dope analisis! keep them coming
Great breakdown!!!
4:55 *Chunkrat mine*
How about that nyxl stall on junkertown against philly. I think it was sbb and pine as widow. I couldn’t believe they won that round and reverse sweeper philly again
I'd love to see a pro analysis on Philly v NY on anubis/wakanda
“Old DPS”. No one wants to mention DreamKazper
I thought profit threw out the pulse bomb to catch striker trying to contest, since striker had recently came from that area
HELLO 911 PROFIT IS IN MY HOUSE AND HE HAS A PULSE BOMB WHAT'S THAT? STAY AWAY FROM THE WALLS?
20:54 what was that pulse bomb... literally into a wall no one close enough to even take damage aside from his self. You can rationalize all you want but that was a pretty big throw of an ult... granted tracer does get ult fast still could of done some damage with it instead of tossing it willy nilly.
I love this. burn blue and yellow?
Semmler coming in with the chilling casting.
Never count out a Bostonian sports team. We play until it's over.
Even the Revolution?
Tbh if I won a match that stress inducing I would cry to, Striker did a great fucking job as Tracer and made me a fan of Boston Uprising as well.
One of the best games I’ve watched all season.
Yes Ik EFFECT is pretty good
Oh shit wrong vid
wrong hole.
ok.... I skipped around a bit after the first few minutes but I didnt see any tracer analysis in any of it... is it really there?
Remember when people thought Boston was one of the more average teams in the OWL?
Legend has it if Your Overwatch loves my comment.
Killerwhale 6011 And... You started it making it sound like a question then just stopped
Top 10 Anime Cliffhangers
Why the period at the end?
That's a lot of likes for a comment with no closure.
That stick reminds me of when I try to throw my mech as DVa but my shift still has 1 second on cooldown so I just watch my mech explode against nothing with my jaw dropped.
Striker reminds me of EFFECT in EnvyUs on Contenders season 1, just a hard carry tracer.
2:26 Was one of the defining factors that lost Spitfire the game; since Profit chases Striker, Note can come onto the point freely.
I'm with the Spitfire, but it's nice to see all the teams improving so much!
00:18 worst Pulse Bomb in the History of the world. 😂😂😂😂
Freedo runs 1 ad on a 22 minute video and MYKL runs 6-7 ads on a 13 min, damn.
NotE's face after the win is priceless
So that widow-junkrat combo...didn't work out so well huh?
What was that pulse bomb? ...
Steny Ethan Mathews He didn't have his blink
This moment was beautiful
Where is thumbnail explained
4:54 NotE has spider-sense confirmed??
Who is the announcer
theres another tracer god who carried so hard she cried
akemi homura from madoka magica
Pro OWL team gets carried so hard they cried.
Not a Boston fan but Striker is definitely in MVP talks
Y do i c 1 blink if u say no blinks when he pulse bombs wall
Crispy Nips English please
Givemethosebunz nah nigga
:) Boston spiting fire on London like the world hasn't ever seen. LMFAO
Dude profit with the throw lmao
You could say he miss-Q'd.
How did you know I was grinning ear to ear when mercy died? So funny
So nobody is gonna talk about 4:53 Note is actually a god
A Tracer, (one if the MOST OP and untouchable heroes in the game) carried?...
Shocking... *Truly* . -_-
Soooo
Striker
Saebyeolbe
or Snillo
?
Nexu right now striker is the best, but overall SBB is better
Nexu SBB
I love Snillo, but he is maybe one of the top 5 Tracers at best. I still think Saebyeolbe is the best because I'm gonna need to see more than one comeback from striker to change my mind.
Shout out to Mistakes for his Sombra skills.
11:04 I wonder who
no, they lost because their moira c9, you can see her taking health from the d.va at the end instead of contesting.
Is there any way you guys could be OWL coaches?!?
In my view they only won ilios because birdring was out, birdring is a god widow, and he can play tracer to an amazingly high level and genji, its what makes London so good, and hooreg is more of a McCree specialist so that's the only reason the reverse sweep happened imo

Videos are always awesome, but the title was misleading. This was more of an analysis of the game instead of how Striker carried so hard.
at the like beginning of the vid it was abnormally slow but then fine for the rest
Someone be so kind as to tell me why Striker cried as he carried? Was his team not doing work? I am not in the mood to losten to a 22 minite video about this.
Well done boys
I crie when Hammond is Insta locked in plat
I hate that I miss the live again :(
“London make a MISTAKE” lol
1:07 is he joking?
why is flow3r not in owl? he is probably the best widow in the world and he is only like 16.
Fuck i know the feels when you have a widow and a sym on your team your are healer and end up using moira to heal and kill because your team gives 0 fucks.
*From the jaws of defeat*
All hail our lord and savior Striker
Have no fear UNDERDOG IS HERE!!!!!
GO BOSTON!!!!!
carry he did
Dude this is actually great!
This is tantamount to scoring a touchdown, reaching out to the endless boundary part of the endzone out of bounds, but totally breaking the plane of the forward progress! Yes!!!!!
... what we call here in the us, futbol Americ@n...lol jk
ITS FOOTBALL HERE MTHRFCKA!!!!
'MERICA!
great title!
Boston has London’s number
A blunder from London? A Blundon?
Me every time I play comp. RIP
You cry when you see an over watch play
