I literally climbed from 2820 - 3722 tonight just playing Brig for 6 1/2 hours, She really is busted, but not overpowered in my opinion you just have to switch characters & play around her. to counter her, i died more to Junkrat & Pharah depending on the map than any other hero. & 90% of the time was able to flank an at the very least trade 1-1 with another hero on Hanamura.

Not only does this make sense (why would getting hit by a solid metal flail not stun you and why would you get hit by a massive shield and lose all momentum and plant your feet like a scarecrow) but it also completely negates the 200 hp death combo that a support should never have. She would no longer be a stun bot as well, as her flail takes a bit of timing to pull off and is also not cancelable by any other animations

Nothing about switching them makes any sense nor is it any fair to Brigitte. A Shield Bash from a warrior like a Spartan is strong enough to knock a person on their ass or in other words, STUN them. Not to mention the animation for the Whip Shot is long enough to make the stun not even worth using because she can't have the follow up to get the kill on Tracer who has more than enough mobility to stay out of that range. Not to mention that the DEATH combo is 155 damage which is only deadly to Tracer and Pilot D.VA. For everybody else, it requires 2 additional whips in order to kill a 200 HP target and 1 more for a 250 HP target which all of those 250 hp targets can handle Brigitte. What you're suggesting for her would just make her frustrating to play as and her team would yell at you to switch off. No, absolutely not. ADAPT.
How to flank against brigitte. 1. Sneak past the enemy team as genji 2. Get nano boosted by Ana 3. Unleash dragon blade and dash in 4. Get shield bashed and taken out, feelsbadman.
Genji needs a buff or rework he is countered by 11 of the 28 hero’s in the game, brig, Winston, torb if he has turret up, zarya, tracer, doomfist, mei, Ana, reaper if he is good and knows how to use his wraith form, Moria, mccree and that’s just the top of my head, genji has a lot of other annoying things he has to think about and it’s almost not worth picking him many games. Your dragon blade against brigs armor armor wastes 2 seconds of the 6 you get from dragon blade and there’s so much more. No hero should be in genjis state because why play genji if you can have no skill and be 3x better to your team when playing brig.
@@LethalByte69 So i looked it up and her winrate average was always around 55%-56% (Which is quite high, but on the flip site Symmetra and Torbjörn have about the same winrate). 60% is quite exaggerated.
@@Smeik2901 symm and torbs pickrates are something like .56%, while brig is 5%. They have high winrates because they are hardly ever picked, whereas brig has a pickrate 10 times theirs. That's apples to oranges.
I love that a character exists that effectively acts as a healer, DPS, AND tank. All while playing those roles almost better than the characters made specifically for ONLY those roles. Not broken at all :)

I've been saying she's a poorly designed hero since her release, and everyone just kept saying "git gud" or "she's bad at higher elos." Feels good to be vindicated. She simply does too much, she has a shield, burst heals, aoe heals, armor, speed boost, stun, boop, and her primary melee is a cleave, and her ult completely swings teamfights. It's incredibly lazy hero design, she doesn't do anything new or unique, she's just a mishmash of a bunch of existing abilities, all thrown on to one overly easy to use (read as "low skill ceiling/floor") package.
Miora isn't broken, but she's also a lazy hero design as well, like a mesh between old symmetra and Zen's yin yang concept. She's a scientist, and yet there is barely anything "scientist" about her design. It's like Blizzard has run out of ideas. I mean they should have a team to take ideas from the community, because they really seem to be struggling. I mean, there are many mobas which they can get ideas from.....there's no excuse to struggle with character uniqueness in the moba genre.
Solus I don't think she's as good at higher elos, but she is still OP in a 1v1. All you need to really counter her is distance and ranged damage so she can't get close, but thats not always an option.
I'm a widow main, do you really think I have a problem with Brig in actual play? lol I also flex on support a lot, mainly Ana, and Dva sometimes too, but I'm not a great tank. Point is I main almost exclusively heroes who s**t on Brig, my opinion on her isn't bias, it's 100% objective as a gamer and competitive fps player with nearly 15 years under his belt. Not to come off as arrogant or anything, I'm not saying my opinion is more or less valid than anyone else's, just that my opinion is solely based on experience and objectivity.

I'm 23 and I've gamed FPS games like halo and cod since as long as I've been alive I competed in call of duty tournaments for years and played every competitive game under the sun not sure what backgrounds have to do with the matter at hand. First off, I already stated that I know how to deal with brig, the point I was making, which seems to have been missed entirely, was that my opinions on brig have nothing to do with my personal experience with her, but rather my experience with games as a whole. She's not just OP within the context of Overwatch, she's a poorly designed hero by any game's standard. The reason the background matters is because if OW is your only context, it narrows your perspective. For example, if all I ever played was COD, I might see a hero like brig as bad simply because she doesn't require aim. My reasons for disliking her are grounded in my experience in games as a whole, because she's a bad hero on so many more levels than just "she's OP." and to your point about her being worse at higher elos, her seeing more and more play in the pro scene as an off-dps/flanker would seem to counter that, and is further proof that she's horribly balanced.
Blizzard seriously needs to fire Geoff Goodman. He almost killed Heros of the Storm due to his horrible 'balancing' till Blizzard kicked him off and now he's doing the same shit to Overwatch.

Alex Night Brigitte was introduced as a Support/Tank hybrid. Instead she's an everything hybrid, her DPS isn't great for barrier busting but she excels at dueling and destroying DPS in 1v1s. It's ridiculous and too much value for one hero.
So pros are playing Brigitte like the bronze and silvers do, and realizing she's so powerful she can basically do whatever the hell she wants because she has everything she could ever want in her kit
Actually they seem to be unprepared for a brig coming at them, a simple reaper on flank duty would kill this, empty the shotguns into her ass, she dies fast. The higher levels just don't use certain characters enough, this player has found a whole in the meta, people weren't countering him that much

Do you understand that brig can easily kill Reaper, don't you? She only needs to hit you once, shield quickly to take your shot, hit you, shield to take your shot, and then do the one-shot combo. Yes, you guessed it, armor, and guess what, Brigitte has tons of armor cuz even if you do hit her because she sucks, you hit the armor, the same armor that will be regenerated with her passive...

TheJshow No conter? She got nerfed twice, and there's so many ways to take her out, mainly due to the broken DPS characters Blizzard loves, and never nerfs. Sombra's broken hack stops the Shield Bash completely. McCree's broken Flashbang stops Brig. Reaper's op damage, passive, and wraith form gets her. Genji and Tracer can handle her. Especially Genji, due to his broken Deflect. Junkrat can get her too. In fact, Junkrat is the worst to fight as Brig, and Im saying that from experience, because Junkrat can just spam grenades, traps and mines all over. Spammed to death Doomfist gets her too, and again, Im speaking from experience. Doomfist can just spam non-stop, and the cooldown on his abilities are *shorter* than the Shield Bash's cooldown. Then there's just as broken Zarya and Ana, some of the few non-DPS characters that get the same attention. Zarya's bubble shield, which lasts too long, stops Brig from dealing any damage. And Ana, her op damage since her unnecessary damage buff, her broken sleeping dart, and broken healing grenade that *deals damage,* gets Brig too. Brig is balanced, unlike the other characters I mentioned. She's getting close to being up there with Bastion. She already has too many broken counters. Its just a matter of time before she gets nerfed *again,* and become very situational, aka, useless.
Sean Dukette The only reason Ana and Zarya are in every match, is because they're broken. They take no skill. Look at Ana alone. Her damage got buffed. She's a healer, not a DPS, that buff is completey unnecessary, because Ana's job is to heal. Then look at the spammed to death sleeping dart, it hands free kills just like McCree's broken Flashbang. And thanks to the damage buff, Ana can take out enemies solo after spamming the dart. So, once you're hit by that dart, you're already dead. Then there's her Healing Grenade *dealing damage.* Why tf does it need to deal damage, when it already disables healing? Dealing damage is too much, and thats why the healing grenade is spammed in every match. Oh, and lets not forget that Ana got a healing buff as well. So, Ana players can just shoot away, even if a teammate is infront of whoever needs healing.
I'm glad this comment section hates her as much as I do. Worst hero added to the game. They made her kit way too valuable for the amount of skill required to unlock that value, unlike hammond who get a lot of value but you need to be pretty skilled to unlock
I don't understand Shield Bash. It does substantial damage, can be instantly transitioned into a burst combo, and has a stupidly long stun duration. Flash Bang was fine. Not because stuns and CC are fine as a whole, but because McCrees kit aside from Flash Bang is dog shit. He has zero mobility, zero healing, a borderline useless ult, pathetic burst, etc. Brig on the other hand has a stun that used to be on a 5 second cooldown (what the actual fuck were they thinking), does 50 damage (why?), stuns for 33% longer than Flash bang (...?), doubles as a mobility move, lets her see in third person, and lets her block damage while doing it. All of the drooling retards who say "just play around her, she's only a problem in low ranks LUUUUUL" clearly didn't watch any OWL or contenders games. Brig is a crucial aspect to GOATs comp, saw consistent play in even the semi-finals/finals of OWL, and sees substantial play in Ranked after 3 fucking nerfs. She is braindead to play, and broken as fuck. How many more OWL players (people who have a semblance of knowledge of the game) can say she is fucking busted before the mouth-breather dipshits agree? Mendo wants her outright deleted, Seagull says shes free SR to literally anyone who picks her, XQC (ex-OWL player at least) says shes just plain stupid, etc. Mendo says theres entire discord channels where the OWL players voice their concerns about balance to blizzard, and according to him Brig was one of their biggest issues.

playing casually when the enemy teams Brig they usually have a better chance unless someone switches to a Brig, now remember this is casual play and not everyone understands how to counter a built comp or want to play counter heroes, or communicate. Now the problem I see with a support/tank character is that she's not easily killable, I get that she's not supposed to but when she can dps the back line better than dps there's something wrong. Especially her ult, we've seen it with Ana, her original ult was a beast of speed and damage, giving any character a speed boost and damage reduction is calling for a wipe and possibly a nerf. I'm personally not happy that this kind playstyle appeared and that the ult is used as a speed boost to get in and out of the back line, I do applaud the creativity that created this playstyle though.
People tend to forget about sym when talking about brigs counters. Her primary can destroy her shield quickly, her turrets can make her switch priority, and she can use her tele to switch sides

Tank? Are you kidding? She is obviously a support... such as symmetra... No, honestly, they should make a new role called "Goliath of gods" and exclusively add her to that, or just delete her from the game... maybe? Yeah
Swap around her stun and boop (making her flail the stun and her shield a boop), this allows a Genji to block a stun (like how he can deflect McCree's direct flash) and Tracer to blink/recall out of the way but also make Brigitte actually aim for a stun (also possibly random stuns from a distance to help a teammate). Weaken her passive for herself but keep it the same for her allies (as in she'll still receive healing, but it is less than what her teammates receive). Possibly lower her CD for her armor pack by a second or two, not entirely necessary because you're supposed to have two healers on a team and not one healer with five dps but you know that doesn't always happen English isn't my first language, so sorry if there is any mistakes
So she does a lot of the same things Sombra does. Infiltrating backlines, killing off meaningful squishies before they can react, getting the enemy team to turn around and deal with you. Only difference is the stun and the durability, which are solved by hack making dangerous targets significantly less dangerous, and translocator keeping you from dying.
When I saw this vid I got so mad because I've always hated moira because she can play dps and get away with it and it sucks when she's on your team and the enemy team. Now dps Brigitte is a valid dps and everyone in silver and gold is gonna start using her as so and failing because it's a professional strategy . This pretty much how i played Brig, you can flank and sometimes if you sneak backline, flank hanzo, widow, you completely negate the Grav combo that is strong against Brig. Even Flank Camp Spawn on Healers. Easily get 3+ Solo Kills a game this way, turning fights into 5v6, even if trade if you take out mercy, ana or even zen, you just made a trade in your team favor depending on what your team can do after. If you got a Mercy she can pick you back up.
Inb4 brig nerf. Reduced shield bash damage from 50 to 40 Increased cooldown on whipshot from 4 to 5 seconds Fixed the 3rd person corner peak bug as this was not intentional. Developer comments: We've felt that Brigitte is too good on solo dueling and her strength in space control is too much. We have made these changes to hopefully make her less troublesome.
Tracer blinks over on top of a Zen and one-clips him down as she is falling then recalls to safety and no one bats an eye. Baugette pops up from a flank and one-combos her down and everyone loses their minds. Does no one asks how Zen feels?
I always played Brigitte as an aggressive support, trying to kill one of their dps with the combo when possible and using ultimate for more survivability.

I always call her the "bully on the street corner" - very much see that style here. Her hiding behind a corner is pretty lethal if the other team doesn't turn to deal with her. I will definitely use her to go on flanking missions - especially if the rest of my team has no clue how to go get the guys off in nowhere.
I do not see this working at all in an uncoordinated lobby. These plays require the tanks to escort you back but that means that you have to rely on your tanks, which often aren't the best at protection.
this video FINALLY convinced me. Overwatch is dead. I just uninstalled the game after watching this. I'm a support main and brigette has ruined the game for me and everyone I used to play with. I thought they'd fix her, but like mercy they're just leaving her EXACTLY the same. 2 seconds doesn't do ANYTHING to her kit.
Shield bash isn't what makes her so strong. It's that she has a shield and heals herself while she lands attacks that do too much dps and HEAL herself and her team. The whole hero concept sounds stupid when you say it out loud! "A hero who can kill with cleave damage and heal herself and all the tanks at the same time ALL with her eyes closed cos they;re the strongest AND easiest abilities in the game!!
Yeah the fun in this game has been on a consistent decline since junkrat and mercy reworks.. Brigitte was the nail in the coffin for a lot of people. I often find myself quitting games with her in it after she swings the momentum. It's just so stupid.
The play style works better in triple support where you can pocket her with a Lucio who can play just as aggro as she can, comps like Reinhardt, Zarya, Hanzo, Ana, Brigitte, Lucio can do disgusting things between Biotic Genade, 2xAuras and Nano Boost keeping up a Brigitte indefinitely without having to invest Rally.
You didnt need the ult to face that mcree though , the ult is better used if its two or more of them SO you dont get melted down it was a pointless ult there bc even then you didnt need that speed boost
I've been looking to get into playing Brigitte exactly because of this. She can take so much space on her own, as long as your positioning and timing is good. However, I do think it's a matter of time before her tankyness gets nerfed in one way or another, as plays like these are only possibly because her survivability is honestly overpowered.

Startet playing Overwatch again and so far I just hate Brigitte overall and Hanzo burst damage. Was surprised how many retarted kills I got with firing with storm arrow even though im shit at Hanzo, I sometimes just use it towards the enemies direction and get 2 kills without even noticing wtf I shot at.
I personally don’t think Brigitte is that bad cuz she’s a purely close range hero. Just get widow junk pharaoh or something else that can deal with her at a distance
You forget that the entire enemy team exists as well. What if they have brig, rein, soldier, mercy, widow, mcree? What then? Replace one of those with sombra if you have a junkrat.
I know you guys are on the cutting edge of pro play in masters & GM. Most of your audience, just on the shear numbers of ranked, are silver, gold or plat. Because of the chaos of quick play plus, we either just get yelled at if we aren't sticking to meta approved comps and tactics or don't have gold elims. I would love to have more vids about that. For example, how to take down a shielded bastion. Why you are getting steamrolled when you are matching comps. How to improve positioning and what you are looking for for positioning for each character. These are the things we need help with to get out of our rank. Yes, your elo hell is GM and it's completely find to show tactics like that on the channel. Not hatin' on it. However, there are other issues down here in gold with which we need help. I know you do some of those vids, like how to be pre-aiming with widow. But things like dissecting what the win conditions is for different scenarios would be mighty helpful. TL:DR Help us out in Gold. Most of your vids don't apply to us down here.

This guy is good no doubt. This can spark some interesting conversation about how well heros should be able to play out of their assumed roles (and I do stress assumed.) Its paradigm shifts like Youngjins Brig that keep the game interesting so... I'll contain my babyrage.
The biggest issue with Brig, IMO, is that she does EVERYTHING well, and with a low skill ceiling to boot. Survivability? 600 HP shield, self-healing, built-in anti-flanking capability, and 50 armor on top of 200 HP got you covered. Damage? 35 damage per hit at a MINIMUM, with a fast-swinging melee attack that has more effective range than even certain guns. Crowd control? Got two of 'em, with one of them being one of the best in the entire game! Only the most braindead of morons can't get some sort of decent value out of her, and countering her involves either running heroes that are themselves easily countered or dumping so many resources into her and her alone that you're better off just getting your own Brig. Recent nerfs suggest that Blizzard thinks that Shield Bash is the only issue she has. While it's definitely a key component, it's just one piece of a massively broken puzzle. IMO, Blizzard needs to focus on one aspect of her design - off-tank, DPS, and healer - and subtly buff that area while severely dialing back the other two.
That looks so enjoyable. And you know whats the best about it? You can be a 2000hours tracer main and a 1 week newbie can easily counter you. What a great addition to the game. So sad that OW is sharing the same fate as WoW.
Brigitte is so ridiculously overpowered. I've been playing her and keep in mind I'm not that great at Overwatch but I have 71% winrate with her and she's becoming my best hero
And to be honest I don't know how to fix her. Higher cooldowns on shield bash start getting ridiculous doesn't really feel like a fix, eventually you just make her useless. I think lowering her shield health from 600 to like 400 would be a good step

Genji needs a buff or rework he is countered by 11 of the 28 hero’s in the game, brig, Winston, torb if he has turret up, zarya, tracer, doomfist, mei, Ana, reaper if he is good and knows how to use his wraith form, Moria, mccree and that’s just the top of my head, genji has a lot of other annoying things he has to think about and it’s almost not worth picking him many games. Your dragon blade against brigs armor armor wastes 2 seconds of the 6 you get from dragon blade and there’s so much more. No hero should be in genjis state because why play genji if you can have no skill and be 3x better to your team when playing brig.

I love that a character exists that effectively acts as a healer, DPS, AND tank. All while playing those roles almost better than the characters made specifically for ONLY those roles. Not broken at all :)

I've been saying she's a poorly designed hero since her release, and everyone just kept saying "git gud" or "she's bad at higher elos." Feels good to be vindicated. She simply does too much, she has a shield, burst heals, aoe heals, armor, speed boost, stun, boop, and her primary melee is a cleave, and her ult completely swings teamfights. It's incredibly lazy hero design, she doesn't do anything new or unique, she's just a mishmash of a bunch of existing abilities, all thrown on to one overly easy to use (read as "low skill ceiling/floor") package.
Miora isn't broken, but she's also a lazy hero design as well, like a mesh between old symmetra and Zen's yin yang concept. She's a scientist, and yet there is barely anything "scientist" about her design. It's like Blizzard has run out of ideas. I mean they should have a team to take ideas from the community, because they really seem to be struggling. I mean, there are many mobas which they can get ideas from.....there's no excuse to struggle with character uniqueness in the moba genre.
Solus I don't think she's as good at higher elos, but she is still OP in a 1v1. All you need to really counter her is distance and ranged damage so she can't get close, but thats not always an option.
I'm a widow main, do you really think I have a problem with Brig in actual play? lol I also flex on support a lot, mainly Ana, and Dva sometimes too, but I'm not a great tank. Point is I main almost exclusively heroes who s**t on Brig, my opinion on her isn't bias, it's 100% objective as a gamer and competitive fps player with nearly 15 years under his belt. Not to come off as arrogant or anything, I'm not saying my opinion is more or less valid than anyone else's, just that my opinion is solely based on experience and objectivity.

I agree that Brigitte is OP in a 1v1 setting and she needs a nerf, but its not like you can't deal with her. All it takes is keeping your distance and spamming her down. I'd still rather use a zenyatta in a lot of situations.
First off, I already stated that I know how to deal with brig, the point I was making, which seems to have been missed entirely, was that my opinions on brig have nothing to do with my personal experience with her, but rather my experience with games as a whole. She's not just OP within the context of Overwatch, she's a poorly designed hero by any game's standard. The reason the background matters is because if OW is your only context, it narrows your perspective. For example, if all I ever played was COD, I might see a hero like brig as bad simply because she doesn't require aim. My reasons for disliking her are grounded in my experience in games as a whole, because she's a bad hero on so many more levels than just "she's OP."
and to your point about her being worse at higher elos, her seeing more and more play in the pro scene as an off-dps/flanker would seem to counter that, and is further proof that she's horribly balanced.

Alex Night Brigitte was introduced as a Support/Tank hybrid. Instead she's an everything hybrid, her DPS isn't great for barrier busting but she excels at dueling and destroying DPS in 1v1s. It's ridiculous and too much value for one hero.
Brigitte is a dps, a tank, and a support all in one, and easy to use as well. What a brain dead hero.

Do you understand that brig can easily kill Reaper, don't you? She only needs to hit you once, shield quickly to take your shot, hit you, shield to take your shot, and then do the one-shot combo. Boom. Dead. That happens because you as Brigitte can hit and shield faster than the delay between shots. Oh, and, do you want me to remember what reaper sucks against? Yes, you guessed it, armor, and guess what, Brigitte has tons of armor cuz even if you do hit her because she sucks, you hit the armor, the same armor that will be regenerated with her passive...

TheJshow No conter? She got nerfed twice, and there's so many ways to take her out, mainly due to the broken DPS characters Blizzard loves, and never nerfs.
Sombra's broken hack stops the Shield Bash completely. McCree's broken Flashbang stops Brig. Reaper's op damage, passive, and wraith form gets her. Genji and Tracer can handle her. Especially Genji, due to his broken Deflect. Junkrat can get her too. In fact, Junkrat is the worst to fight as Brig, and Im saying that from experience, because Junkrat can just spam grenades, traps and mines all over. Spammed to death Doomfist gets her too, and again, Im speaking from experience. Doomfist can just spam non-stop, and the cooldown on his abilities are *shorter* than the Shield Bash's cooldown.
Then there's just as broken Zarya and Ana, some of the few non-DPS characters that get the same attention. Zarya's bubble shield, which lasts too long, stops Brig from dealing any damage. And Ana, her op damage since her unnecessary damage buff, her broken sleeping dart, and broken healing grenade that *deals damage,* gets Brig too.
Brig is balanced, unlike the other characters I mentioned. She's getting close to being up there with Bastion. She already has too many broken counters. Its just a matter of time before she gets nerfed *again,* and become very situational, aka, useless.
Sean Dukette The only reason Ana and Zarya are in every match, is because they're broken. They take no skill.
Look at Ana alone. Her damage got buffed. She's a healer, not a DPS, that buff is completey unnecessary, because Ana's job is to heal.
Then look at the spammed to death sleeping dart, it hands free kills just like McCree's broken Flashbang. And thanks to the damage buff, Ana can take out enemies solo after spamming the dart. So, once you're hit by that dart, you're already dead.
Then there's her Healing Grenade *dealing damage.* Why tf does it need to deal damage, when it already disables healing? Dealing damage is too much, and thats why the healing grenade is spammed in every match.
Oh, and lets not forget that Ana got a healing buff as well. So, Ana players can just shoot away, even if a teammate is infront of whoever needs healing.
I'm glad this comment section hates her as much as I do. Worst hero added to the game. They made her kit way too valuable for the amount of skill required to unlock that value, unlike hammond who get a lot of value but you need to be pretty skilled to unlock

I don't understand Shield Bash. It does substantial damage, can be instantly transitioned into a burst combo, and has a stupidly long stun duration.
Flash Bang was fine. Not because stuns and CC are fine as a whole, but because McCrees kit aside from Flash Bang is dog shit. He has zero mobility, zero healing, a borderline useless ult, pathetic burst, etc. Brig on the other hand has a stun that used to be on a 5 second cooldown (what the actual fuck were they thinking), does 50 damage (why?), stuns for 33% longer than Flash bang (...?), doubles as a mobility move, lets her see in third person, and lets her block damage while doing it.
All of the drooling retards who say "just play around her, she's only a problem in low ranks LUUUUUL" clearly didn't watch any OWL or contenders games. Brig is a crucial aspect to GOATs comp, saw consistent play in even the semi-finals/finals of OWL, and sees substantial play in Ranked after 3 fucking nerfs. She is braindead to play, and broken as fuck. How many more OWL players (people who have a semblance of knowledge of the game) can say she is fucking busted before the mouth-breather dipshits agree? Mendo wants her outright deleted, Seagull says shes free SR to literally anyone who picks her, XQC (ex-OWL player at least) says shes just plain stupid, etc. Mendo says theres entire discord channels where the OWL players voice their concerns about balance to blizzard, and according to him Brig was one of their biggest issues.

playing casually when the enemy teams Brig they usually have a better chance unless someone switches to a Brig, now remember this is casual play and not everyone understands how to counter a built comp or want to play counter heroes, or communicate.
Now the problem I see with a support/tank character is that she's not easily killable, I get that she's not supposed to but when she can dps the back line better than dps there's something wrong. Especially her ult, we've seen it with Ana, her original ult was a beast of speed and damage, giving any character a speed boost and damage reduction is calling for a wipe and possibly a nerf.
I'm personally not happy that this kind playstyle appeared and that the ult is used as a speed boost to get in and out of the back line, I do applaud the creativity that created this playstyle though.
People tend to forget about sym when talking about brigs counters. Her primary can destroy her shield quickly, her turrets can make her switch priority, and she can use her tele to switch sides

I can't find youngjin on the screen. 4:25-4:27 look at the very right hand side of the screen and see him sneaking around (hard to spot)
Swap around her stun and boop (making her flail the stun and her shield a boop), this allows a Genji to block a stun (like how he can deflect McCree's direct flash) and Tracer to blink/recall out of the way but also make Brigitte actually aim for a stun (also possibly random stuns from a distance to help a teammate). Weaken her passive for herself but keep it the same for her allies (as in she'll still receive healing, but it is less than what her teammates receive). Possibly lower her CD for her armor pack by a second or two, not entirely necessary because you're supposed to have two healers on a team and not one healer with five dps but you know that doesn't always happen

So she does a lot of the same things Sombra does. Infiltrating backlines, killing off meaningful squishies before they can react, getting the enemy team to turn around and deal with you. Only difference is the stun and the durability, which are solved by hack making dangerous targets significantly less dangerous, and translocator keeping you from dying.
As an Brigitte main I still love this guy because I know any flanking routes every map.
When I saw this vid I got so mad because I've always hated moira because she can play dps and get away with it and it sucks when she's on your team and the enemy team. Now dps Brigitte is a valid dps and everyone in silver and gold is gonna start using her as so and failing because it's a professional strategy . This pretty much how i played Brig, you can flank and sometimes if you sneak backline, flank hanzo, widow, you completely negate the Grav combo that is strong against Brig. Even Flank Camp Spawn on Healers. Easily get 3+ Solo Kills a game this way, turning fights into 5v6, even if trade if you take out mercy, ana or even zen, you just made a trade in your team favor depending on what your team can do after. If you got a Mercy she can pick you back up.
When I play her and drop her shield it turns me around 180 for some reason so i end up running places I dont want to :(

I always call her the "bully on the street corner" - very much see that style here. Her hiding behind a corner is pretty lethal if the other team doesn't turn to deal with her. I will definitely use her to go on flanking missions - especially if the rest of my team has no clue how to go get the guys off in nowhere.

I do not see this working at all in an uncoordinated lobby. These plays require the tanks to escort you back but that means that you have to rely on your tanks, which often aren't the best at protection.

this video FINALLY convinced me. Overwatch is dead. I just uninstalled the game after watching this. I'm a support main and brigette has ruined the game for me and everyone I used to play with. I thought they'd fix her, but like mercy they're just leaving her EXACTLY the same. 2 seconds doesn't do ANYTHING to her kit.
Shield bash isn't what makes her so strong. It's that she has a shield and heals herself while she lands attacks that do too much dps and HEAL herself and her team. The whole hero concept sounds stupid when you say it out loud! "A hero who can kill with cleave damage and heal herself and all the tanks at the same time ALL with her eyes closed cos they;re the strongest AND easiest abilities in the game!!

The play style works better in triple support where you can pocket her with a Lucio who can play just as aggro as she can, comps like Reinhardt, Zarya, Hanzo, Ana, Brigitte, Lucio can do disgusting things between Biotic Genade, 2xAuras and Nano Boost keeping up a Brigitte indefinitely without having to invest Rally.
You didnt need the ult to face that mcree though , the ult is better used if its two or more of them SO you dont get melted down it was a pointless ult there bc even then you didnt need that speed boost

I've been looking to get into playing Brigitte exactly because of this. She can take so much space on her own, as long as your positioning and timing is good. However, I do think it's a matter of time before her tankyness gets nerfed in one way or another, as plays like these are only possibly because her survivability is honestly overpowered.

Startet playing Overwatch again and so far I just hate Brigitte overall and Hanzo burst damage. Was surprised how many retarted kills I got with firing with storm arrow even though im shit at Hanzo, I sometimes just use it towards the enemies direction and get 2 kills without even noticing wtf I shot at.

I know you guys are on the cutting edge of pro play in masters & GM. Most of your audience, just on the shear numbers of ranked, are silver, gold or plat. Because of the chaos of quick play plus, we either just get yelled at if we aren't sticking to meta approved comps and tactics or don't have gold elims. I would love to have more vids about that. For example, how to take down a shielded bastion. Why you are getting steamrolled when you are matching comps. How to improve positioning and what you are looking for for positioning for each character. These are the things we need help with to get out of our rank. Yes, your elo hell is GM and it's completely find to show tactics like that on the channel. Not hatin' on it. However, there are other issues down here in gold with which we need help. I know you do some of those vids, like how to be pre-aiming with widow. But things like dissecting what the win conditions is for different scenarios would be mighty helpful.
TL:DR Help us out in Gold. Most of your vids don't apply to us down here.

This guy is good no doubt. This can spark some interesting conversation about how well heros should be able to play out of their assumed roles (and I do stress assumed.) Its paradigm shifts like Youngjins Brig that keep the game interesting so... I'll contain my babyrage.
The biggest issue with Brig, IMO, is that she does EVERYTHING well, and with a low skill ceiling to boot. Survivability? 600 HP shield, self-healing, built-in anti-flanking capability, and 50 armor on top of 200 HP got you covered. Damage? 35 damage per hit at a MINIMUM, with a fast-swinging melee attack that has more effective range than even certain guns. Crowd control? Got two of 'em, with one of them being one of the best in the entire game! Only the most braindead of morons can't get some sort of decent value out of her, and countering her involves either running heroes that are themselves easily countered or dumping so many resources into her and her alone that you're better off just getting your own Brig.
Recent nerfs suggest that Blizzard thinks that Shield Bash is the only issue she has. While it's definitely a key component, it's just one piece of a massively broken puzzle. IMO, Blizzard needs to focus on one aspect of her design - off-tank, DPS, and healer - and subtly buff that area while severely dialing back the other two.
I love how people complane that Mercy is bad yet she's in every team.
Who else think that Freedo should be in the overwatch league desk?
That looks so enjoyable. And you know whats the best about it? You can be a 2000hours tracer main and a 1 week newbie can easily counter you. What a great addition to the game. So sad that OW is sharing the same fate as WoW.
Brigitte is so ridiculously overpowered. I've been playing her and keep in mind I'm not that great at Overwatch but I have 71% winrate with her and she's becoming my best hero
And to be honest I don't know how to fix her. Higher cooldowns on shield bash start getting ridiculous doesn't really feel like a fix, eventually you just make her useless. I think lowering her shield health from 600 to like 400 would be a good step
