- We admit, we’re fans of Razer. But to be honest, we don’t really use their audio products. But when they let us have a go with their new BlackShark V2, wow… this is certainly a step in the right direction.
Without a doubt, this might just be the best gaming headset out there. It looks great, sounds great, feels comfortable, a decent mic, and a plethora of features.
Razer might’ve just nailed it with the new BlackShark v2.

hi there, may i ask how to setup the audio on console because this is my first time using RAZER BLACKSHARK V2 product and when i using the Usb sound card put in on console the audio is so low even put the headset volume max..can you give some guide for solve this problem.? and did somebody else here have the same problem got solve it

will this cause ears to sweat or generate warmth if worn for 30 mins or more ? I also use the Sony MDR7506 as studio monitors and I cant have them on my ears for more than 10 mins does this razer have the same effect. I really look forward to your answer here as it would really help.
After set all the feature in razer synapse... the setting will store in the sound card or in the software? Mean if we connect to another pc is it the setting we set still there or ?

Hello, I'm looking for a new Headset because my Hyperx Cloud Stinger II are getting old and damaged and I'm thinking about getting this one but I have a question: does this work with elgato HD 60 S? If so, how? I just need to plug it to my PC, right? I also would like to know if it removes the background sound?
is there a way to record both mic and headphone sound without having to buy a splitter for computers that have headphone and mic ports only. newer HeadSet ports are nice as they combined mic and speaker recording but my r12 pc doesn't have headset port. it has two ports, one for headphone and one for mic. i guess the new razer usb sound card with its usb connection can't transfer speaker and mic recording at the same time. anyone know if there is a way ?

Depends, if you need that extra pinpoint surround sound. Sound card just allows you to customize the headset.
P.S; You can only choose one for some reason.

I recently got a v2x and have some issues with the Mic as well. Not sure if the issue which you said is the same as mine?
The Mic(with & without splitter) does not work well when directly plugged into the motherboard. Have tried to test it out and it seems like it is not that it totally does not pickup the sound but it is hardly able to pick up the sound and u got to shout loudly(literally at the top of your lung) into the mic but you will still sound very soft & distorted.
I am still trying to troubleshoot it with the help from Razer Support but does not seems to be going anywhere.
Hmmm... Not too sure either, though in your case, you at least got it to work somebwat. Mine simply didn't detect, at all.
All's fine with the USB sound card though, and even with the PS4.
Might be a splitter issue, or just that it doesn't really work with splitters...? Not entirely sure, we're also asking Razer.
@@TECH360TV I have tested with multiple splitters and all are the same and I have tested using the exact same port, setting & splitter while using another headphone and it works without any issue.
For mine initially I thought it could not detect but I up the dB to +30 and cover my mouth with the mic in it and started shouting than I saw the lines from mictest moving and realized that it is actually detecting but almost not able to pickup the sound.
Sadly I bought a v2x so i do not have the USB soundcard but I tested using a friend's HyperX 3.5mm to USB adapter and it works as well.

Why is the microphone not the same every video I heard it?
Wow... that can be loads of factors at play. We recorded ours raw. Only edit was simply an audio boost to match levels.

Yes I got these today for my switch and it works flawlessly
I just received a brand new Razor Blackshark V2, and the volume on the
PS4 is pathetically low! I have tried it with both the 3.5mm and the USB
inputs. The headphone volume on the PS4 is at max volume and the volume
knob on the ear is turned all the way up. Even with everything at max
level, it's still not high enough. I'm not hard of hearing, and I don't
listen to everything at super high levels. Hell, even my five year old
no-name stereo headphones sound louder than these do on my PS4. Is this a
bad set of headphones? Is this a bug? Is this the PS4 problem with low
volume on some headphones. Did you have this problem?
You could test this on another device like your phone to make sure that you don't have a bad headset

I use the astro mix amp with these headphones on the ps4. They sound really good with the amp. They are really low plug into the controller.
Not entirely sure how low is low, or how high is high, but in our use case, it was all right.
It certainly didn't get very loud, but it wasn't that low either. We could do fine with 80% volume on the PS4 and maxed out on the knob on the BlackShark.
I have a pretty good feeling you got a bad pair since most other ppl seem to be fine with theirs, maybe return it and get a new one?

You can customize the Razer BlackShark V2 headset for console gaming in several ways: Use THX Spatial as a playback device, configure your headset with Razer Synapse, enable 7.1 surround sound, Pro-Tuned FPS audio profiles and Razer HyperSpeed wireless

When I turn on the THX Audio all my friends in discord sound like they are in a tunnel. How can I disable it only for discord?
I'm assuming it would be the same as the nari ultimate as that also uses THX audio so if you go to the voice and video settings in discord , you can change the audio output to the one which has "(Chat)" which should fix your problem
I turn off thx when I'm in discord

Bro guess what that’s exactly what I returned today my turtle beach 700 gen 2 cause the clamp force was just to damn much these V2 are so damn comfortable

That’s a great headset by the looks of it, though it is at a different price point. Up to individuality!
In the past week or two my blackshark V2 pros started have unusably low volume/sound issues with COD Warzone MW when using THX Spatial Audio. Anyone else have this issue? I reached out to razer and they weren’t helpful at all and very dismissive about the issue. Saying it’s the game but the issue only occurs when using their thx spatial audio sound and it only seems to be an issue with CODs thx spatial audio profile. I haven’t been playing COD since the issue occurred as I can’t have proper surround sound. Pretty garbage.

if you’re looking for a budget-friendly wireless headset with good performance and handy features, the V2 HyperSpeed could be considered “better” depending on your needs and preferences. If the highest build quality and detachable mic are not your priorities, then the V2 HyperSpeed offers a great alternative

How do you charge the headset
Its wired - doesnt need charging
Neon what even if you use the headphone Jack not because I had a turtle beach one and that was wired and you needed to charge that
Your turtle beach was probably a wireless model - they have to be charged to use wirelessly but they usually let you add a jack to the headset
When you use a cable, the power comes directly from what you plugged it into, thus no charging required

This has been the most comfortable Razer headset thus far. We could easily use it for half a dozen hours or more without much fatigue if at all. The lightness and the hybrid foam cushion helps a ton.

Yeap! It'll work fine for consoles as well. Audio quality remains unchanged, you only lose out the features from Synapse, that's about it.

These headphones suck on PS4. Super-low volume even at max level on PS4 and on headphones themselves. I returned mine.

Perhaps just turn off the THX Spatial Audio. That is a hit or miss depending on the person.
