Great video, Daniel. I appreciate you keeping everyone updated on various coins and the difference between varieties and errors. Thanks again for all you do, Daniel, and have a great day.
I’m a cents roll searcher and have found several bona fide FS-901’s. The real deal takes some time and effort and several $25 boxes of cents to find. Not worth much, but fun to find. The “close, but no cigar” versions are frequent finds and are of no value. 😂
I just found one. Got it after purchasing something at a nearby Petco. Its definitely a genuine no FG and unattached rooftop. I'm a novice coin collector and I enjoy the hobby in pure form. I bought $500 worth of rolls from banks and got nothing. Also got my first V75 W mint quarter from a car wash this month. Im a novice coin collector but I feel like coins from the bank yeild higher grade coins but I been having more luck doing daily activities where I recieve change
Thanks Daniel for clearing this up ! To find one in MS might be a lil hard..to find one in an MS to where it its worth it to be holdered, even harder. Patience hunting these. I've seen allot of these asked about and your are spot on...no hint of even a bump in the FG location. I see many a bump.
Thank you Daniel! I have focused on collecting 1904 coinage and noticed the cent has a large variety of RPD. I see many offers for the FS-301 / Snow 10. Do you know what is the most widely accepted nomenclature for identification of varieties? Perhaps we need a Dewey decimal classification of die variety.
Hello Daniel, I happen to have catalog # Fs 901 found in my coin collection. I live way up North in Canada's North West Territory, TUKTOYAKTUK...AMAZING to find one this FAR up North
I saw some of these on Ebay sell for less than a dollar. These apparently are not only not rare but very common. Most of the sales were under 5 dollars. Of course that wont stop plenty of idiots on there listing them for hundreds of dollars ungraded.
About 6 months ago, someone was showing a coin that had a floating roof.😅I text him back and told him that it was not a floating roof ..in fact it looked just like the one you're showing. I told him that the initials were not there. I also said don't forget my buddy old pal.text me back and said thank you.✌️💙🏇🏇🏇
Daniel, I have a 1969 no FG and "floating roof". I have viewed the reverse as completely as I possibly can, using both my digital microscope and the magnifier on my cell phone. There are no bumps, humps, or remnants of any kind, indicating that the FG may have simply been rubbed off. I actually have several with the FG rubbed off, but there are still remnants of the letters. The only problem is that the coin has been through many hands, machines and change drawers. It's not a high grade by any means. But I do have clear, up-close photos of it.
Found one today ..roofs floating.. no hint of fg ... googled it, and it shot me here ..thing is mine is orange..like the whole coin..is that a toning condition ?
Why does the floating roof weigh different? You are correct I do have one without the fg but one line which isn't a floating roof and there is a faint little markers of the fg. I do have a floating roof at anecs right now. I also did find one on eBay for a dollar so I bought it just in case and it was but wasn't in as good condition as the one at anecs. Look at the pictures good you can tell if it is the correct coin as advertised.
One of those varieties that I've come across many times.. and I just keep on throwing them back. Tough variety to attribute and likely hood of finding an MS specimen is slim to nil. Yet, having said, it seems to pull some interest from collectors and is still a tangible reality coin, so I reckon that's ok. Thanks again Brotha D🙏🕉️
Is the "floating roof" from too much die polishing? I always thought that was the funniest thing when it looks like the design is sinking into a tar pit. It's worn... just from the other side.
I know you for some reason like PCGS but if I were you I would send all the graded coins from them to Anacs or another company for regrading cause they don't have CAC to over look there work anymore so there pretty unless plus how good is a company that has to have a second opinion and charges you for it

Sir Daniel. What is the best type of light for seeing coins? LED, CFL, Incandescent or Halogen?
I appreciate you

It's different for each denomination but FS is the most widely used.
Interesting Video. I'm not interested in the varieties, but I'm sure somebody is ! Thanks for sharing, Daniel. 😀

It's too worn and damaged to mess with, you can submit to ANACS if you think it's worth it.

The ones I have you can't even see lincoln in the center of the monument. He's missing lol. And they are all red uncs
are there other no fg cents besides the 1969
What is a 1969 D with the initial vdb on it worth

Could there be a No FG that still has the roof lines connected?
That's not a floating roof. I've got pretty well aged eyes and I can tell it's not. Can't tell about the FG. Have a great day Sir!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
I found one today 😊
✳️ floating rooftop?????
Is the "floating roof" from too much die polishing? I always thought that was the funniest thing when it looks like the design is sinking into a tar pit. It's worn... just from the other side.
I have 2 one with a floating roof and both don't have a fg mark
That's not a 901 I have a couple of them. The FG is too bad a picture to tell for sure.
I have a Bu roll of 69 d. I may have to take a better look at them.
It was from an overly aggressive die polishing and most likely not grease !
I have three of them
Found one on a 1970 ?
I have 1 I'm sure would grade high😮
Hat is a beginner collector to do this AI should be not allowed
3:05 ❤ 3:20

CAC doesn't over look PCGS and they have nothing to do with CAC charges, you've got some things mixed up on this one.
How about no fg and no mint mark 1969?
Philadelphia Mint issues didn’t have mint marks.
I have that coin
I'll send u a pic
