Very good tutorial Brandon. I typically use ctb plot styles because I freelance with several different engineering/surveying companies that each have their own plot style. I've not come across a company that uses an stb style. The biggest hurdle I have is to remember what color produces what type of print out between all the different styles I need to use. In all my years of CAD I've never used a plot style for a specific layer, so I learned a new trick. Thanks for that!

      Thanks @kimmiekat1511 !
Yes definitely nice to know both styles, I agree typically most companies I've worked with ust .ctb, though my current one does use stb and was a bit of a change to learn all the ins and outs of the new process with styles. I definitely see the benefits of being able to style entire layers or specific objects based on just the style setting, can definitely be useful.

I can't thank you enough cos i have some troubles about STB. Now i got it cos of your video. To assign the STB style, i choose them in property box. No working. When i open the layer and choose in plot, it really works. Thanks Mr Brandon.

Thanks for sharing such powerful tips. Your videos nice, understandable and concise 🙌🏾
Quick question though, what causes objects to break apart after plotting (on paper space). The drawing looks fine on plot preview but come out distorted, or objects and shapes become skew and broken after plotting? 😩

Hello! What should I do when the lineweights in layout print preview are visible but when I saved it they have the same lineweight. I hope you can help me. Thank you!

Brandon if you could help me. Using AutoCAD for first time on a MacBook m1 as a student. When trying to plot with acad.stb I don’t get the color column on the left and also I can’t choose or import to start the acad.ctb which when I double click from folder shows up correctly the colors. Any ideas/help would be much appreciated! TY

Im using 2024 LT and the “Display Plot Style” box option isn’t there. How can I go about it to see this option?

You need to go to page setup manager then click on modify. That’s where you’ll find the “Display Plot Style” option.
