Brandon, great video! My day to day is drawing topo and plats for civil engineers and surveyors, so I don't generally draw floor plans. However, recently my sister asked me about software for floor plans. She is a graphic artist and draws floor plans to design signage for stores and is looking for something faster than her current graphics software. I'm going to suggest she look at Rayon. Thank you for putting this tutorial together, I know it takes some time and I sure appreciate that you shared this!
Thanks so much for watching and for the comment/praise! That's great, I have definitely liked using and working with Rayon, it's perfect for those doing a lot of floor plans and has a ton of neat feature to really make them look good without spending a lot of time fiddling with say photoshop or another graphics software to add the textures, blocks and styles etc..! Thanks so much again for being so active on the channel!! Cheers Brandon
As always a great tutorial. Am I wrong Brandon is saying that before setting up your dimension style the plot scale should be determined? Also you didn't mention drawing everything in model space at a 1:1 scale. As I understood your previous tutorials and others online, the model space is where all your line work gets created. When things like text, dimensions, dynamic blocks with text are to be added the plot scale needs to be figured out. Am I wrong? Please keep making these videos as they help the rest of us advance our skills in drafting.
Hi there, I know there is a shortcut for this but I'm missing the word for it. Let's say I'm copying a symbol for a window or door tag. I know there is a function out there that will automatically number the tags as I keep creating more doors/windows. What is this function called and do you have a video on it? If so, which video would it be? Thank you for your time and your work!
this is all find-n-well, kids :-) just...remember...before your drafting begins, PLEASE have worked out a terrific Design!! Linework is dandy, but the TRUE "genius" in your work (and what will earn you your $$$!) is WHAT the heck it is you've Designed, how it Looks, how it Works, what it Costs overall,.... Digital Linework is the...easy part!! :-) buona fortuna! [ plz, spare this world from anymore "boxes houses". UGLY is NOT what earns the $$$ for yas!! :-)

Super informative, just got a bit confused at the tool palettes. How do we create one from scratch if we don't have an existing drawing like you do?
