Volvo F10 och F12 - en revolution inom lastbilsvärlden

Få lastbilar har lyckats förändra en hel bransch på samma sätt som Volvo F10 och F12. 1977 rullade de första modellerna ut från fabriken i Tuve. Bilarna blev snabbt en succé bland förarna, med sina ergonomiska och säkra hytter.

I would like to give Volvo a HUGE thank you for the Volvo F12 , I was a boy in the eighties in Norway and my dad owned a F12 1984 model (sixpence roof) and I was with him on many trips in the F12 (driving between Northern Norway and Oslo) and needless to say I thought the F12 and my dad was the coolest thing in the world ! , according to my dad I knew the names and function of all the buttons in the cabin and yesterday I saw some photos of the interior in the F12 and a lot of memories came back when I saw the various design details that I remember , one of the oldest memories I have is falling asleep in the bed behind the drivers seat and I remember how safe and cosy it felt , I wasn't sure which of his trucks that memory was from but when I saw the interior photos I know that it was the Volvo F12 !
Swedes have had a genius industry that has been able to compete on par with the leading industrial nations in the world inspite of being a small nation ! and like he says in the video my dads F12 intercooler ran 1000000km before he sold it , and it was still in use after that !
Way to go Volvo ! and thank you ! some of the greatest times in my life was spent in the F12

Känner stolthet och glädje över att få varit med om denna revolution av lastbilar i slutet av 1970-talet.
Dessa stiliga, äldre herrar var unga och energiska då.
Bränsleekonomikörningarna var spännande.

2019 är det Scania som gäller!!Har annars mest kört Volvo FM vilket är bäst i lokaltrafik!!F12 var bättre än Scania 141!!

J avais 5 ans en 77 et mon père possédait un F88 après avoir eu un 4951. Et les F10 et 12 ont donné un coup de vieux au 111 et 141 ainsi qu à toute les autres marques. Pour moi, c était vraiment des camions modernes. Et Volvo à toujours été pour moi synonyme de qualité et d innovation.

If it was a 16-speed it probably had Volvo's own SR62 gearbox, they were never available with ZF transmissions (and why would they?)
