On September 30th, 1995, two of college football’s most powerful and storied programs met in Ohio Stadium to renew a rivalry left dormant for almost 60 years. Their previous battle in the Horseshoe had been called the greatest game in the first 50 years of college football, but victory that day was with the Irish. The return engagement offered John Cooper’s Buckeyes a chance for revenge and their own place in Buckeye history.
I was at this game in 1995! My larynx was shredded for over a week.
The three plays that stand out the most to me that day: When the Center and Powlus fumbled the exchange, I remember the center walking off of the field and looking extremely confused about what had just happened; The Terry Glenn catch and run; and, Eddie George's play that he ran and got over 200 yards.
The three loudest crowds I have experienced being at the 'Shoe: 1995 Notre Dame, 2002 That Team Up North, and 2011 Wisconsin.

If only Cooper had the same attitude about the weasels as he did Norte Dame.
Videos a little dated. OSU holds a 4-2 lead of Notre Dame. Two more games are set to played here in the near future. Always great to see Archie and Buckeye Classics.

The Terry Glenn TD still amazes me! He basically stopped to catch the ball, and it was like he was shot out of a cannon. Pursuit angles of the DB's meant NOTHING.
Such a large span of NFL talent came from the Buckeyes in the 80s.
