I wish we did, I feel so dirty when I have to go down to go up because it's been half an hour of waiting on the lowest level.
I haven't been to a convention before, but a big concern of mine if I do is the hugging/touching without consent first. Because a lot of people see "cute dog" And just assume, everyone who's dressed up is okay with being as touchy feely as they or other suiters are? And idk. I'm socially anxious, hugs would be difficult for me WITH permission, let alone someone randomly coming up to me, tapping me and when I turn around just snatching me. That seems like a really unpleasant time, and because I've never been I don't know how much of an issue this actually still is? But I know it USED to be prominent enough to be discussed often
As someone whose attended a small con, it's been relatively okay something some people do is put stuff on their badge about what they're okay with, or post on social media. Others I've seen have worn a shirt that says it But that won't stop some from being way too friendly and I personally dislike hugging even when asked, unless it's someone I know already, so it's a bit scary

That and if you're not suiting or not a handler, use the stairs as well for up and down. It helps a lot ha. In my experience at least. It gives more accessibility to elders, disabled, suiters, etc

I have to say, it's not just furry conventions now I have been to one. It's any con people do this stuff. The hygiene one, probably my biggesr pet peeve at anime conventions. It's like people don't care or are not aware how they smell.
I went to comic con once quite awhile ago and my first experience was rather “interesting” it smelled like a football locker room and a taco bell bathroom it was a great experience but the only thing that sucked was the smell. This wasn’t the entire convention center it was mostly around the shop/sellers area.
Getting into an elevator going in the wrong direction when you need to is something I could rage about for the next hour. I worked on elevators, so I know it from the inside. If an elevator has two buttons, it has a so-called collective function, so it carries out calls and instructions in a given direction in a specific, established way. You don't press both buttons because "then it will arrive faster", you don't get into the elevator when you want to go up when the arrow points down and your button hasn't turned off (when you press both directions, the button corresponding to the current direction of travel turns off) when you are waiting with someone and someone wants to to go the other way, you get on in the direction you need, that person gets on in his direction, you don't get on at the same time. Again, directional arrows and the button on the cassette turning off according to your direction. That's all, it really works like that. You don't even know how troublesome it is in such hospitals, where people drive senselessly around all floors, pushing themselves into the elevator as soon as it opens, and blocking the ride of others, and even the beds with sick people, because 1/2 of the people in the elevator go from... family doctor from the 2nd floor through the operating room on the 6th floor to the ground floor. It just wastes everyone's time, everyone is nervous about why the elevator stops and it doesn't need to, not to mention the unnecessary cycles the machine performs, braking, moving doors, start-ups, eventually even leading to overheating of specific elements, so then everyone "happy" has to go stairs until the machine cools down.
As someone with vision issues on the spectrum with sensitivity to sound who is dating someone with panic attack issues and a friend who's legally blind I can say the "bluetooth speaker DJ" is one of the most annoying con attendees in existence. It's already loud enough with everyone talking over each other in a massive cathedral size lobby. If we wanted to listen to music we'd go to the dance or a room party.

Can we put down “Annoying Tiktok anti furry TH-camrs” on the list? Cause those people need to be not permitted on grounds during the event. Chasing after people, pulling tails, asking questions like “Do you fuck your dog?” And filming while people don’t want to be filmed….this trend seems to be getting worse….
Volunteering at a furry convention seems like a lot of fun. When looking at a con in Ohio I saw they were looking for volunteers. I wasn’t able to go but when I am able to go to cons, I will definitely look at volunteering.
100% agree with all of this. Help each other out with getting around and everyone has a better time overall. Keep your loud speakers to your room parties, we don't all want to hear your noise. Squeak responsibly! It's cute if it matches your suit's personality and is used sparingly, but beyond that.. just no. And oh god the level of personal hygiene, or lack thereof, at conventions is absolutely disgusting at times D:
In regards to the smelling thing: ohhh my god. I'm from GA so I've gone to quite a few cons here (Dragon Con, AWA, and Momo Con, not FWA) and it's BAD. There's a reason most cons around here tend to not be in the summer and instead are in spring or autumn an that's because Georgia heat is brutal and a lot of people who fly in to fursuit/cosplay/even just attend tend not to realize just how hot and humid it can be compared to what they're used to and don't change up their hygiene to match. (Especially since what they tend to wear tends not to be the most breathable!) Please don't be shy to shower more, reapply deoderant, or take more breaks to make sure you don't boil yourself.
The hygene point: I went to a multi-day camp with a relatively small group, none of them I really knew before-hand. My roomie claimed to have a "Water allergy" and a bucketlist of other allergies to chemicals, and would not shower. He had some baby wiped he'd leave in his armpits... Day one, we had a furwalk, some activities, so plenty of physical activity. I took 3 quick showers that day to stay fresh. Roomie didn't shower at all. On the morning of day 2 I told (basically forced) him to go take a shower -now-, not after dinner, as the room REEKED of sweat. It was beyond "Musky husky". The dude was basically a skunk. The rest of the meet was fine, luckily... We had loads of fun, but the dude just wasn't aware of how bad it was.
As someone who lives in georgia and not too far from Atlanta and FWA, you are so right, it is soooo god damn humid and hot here, you literally cant live here with a weak ac, it gets especially terrible in the summer too
I feel the elevators. I'm a both wheelchair bound/invisible handicapped person, and also a fursuiter. If I'm trying to go up it means one of 3 things. I need to eat (hypoglycemia calling), I need hydration/cooling, or I need to sleep/bathe/etc. Luckily I've been met with overflowing kindness at elevator time
@@Optimegatrongodzilla You do realize I’m making a joke at the thumbnail. And you can’t argue “that’s very offensive to the autism community” because I also have autism. Also THIS WAS 9 MONTHS AGO SO SHUT.

I once ended up going down the same elevator as a popular furry TH-camr, and they smelled like literal sh*t. I tried to rationalize it that this was some kind of fart spray prank since they're an entertainer, but now I know the difference between those odors. They were going down to the main con floor absolutely reeking - why? If that's your fetish, fine, but don't force it on everyone else.
Same, to make things worse, the hotel wing i was in had like 16 floors and i was stuck on 13 where my room was because 2 of the 3 elevators were broken down and the stairs on all levels were locked behind a fire alarm. It took like 20-30 minutes to get down even when "going up to go down" lol. That place fucking sucked
Elevators: install more playground slides adult sized for those needing to go down. Keep them four to five floors in length. Zip lines, fire fighter poles, jumping off one floor to a safety net, there’s options. Going up is no problem with Batman grapple hooks, roller coaster chain lifts, or my favorite…human/fluffy animal monster modified conveyor belts. Ear Piercing Music: Anyone can have a pet Bluetooth speaker, as long as it’s a controlled by a con staff attendee. Stinky Furries: Wash or be Washed at one of the many fur suit automatic washes, similar to car washes. Showers, deodorant, fur suit spray, may also be found in designated headless lounges throughout the con. Make them like Starbucks, so you can’t travel more then a few feet before running into one. The following was 80% satire and bad joking, as well as reminders of what you already know.
Those things are not unique to furry conventions. I've experienced it at anime ones too. The elevator one is too real. I've even had to go up in order to go down on the last day because everyone to checking out
I was at fwa this year the elevator situation was hectic on the Monday the hotel I was in there were 8 elevator’s only 3 were working and with everyone leaving at the same time it’s taken me an hour to get down
I need to be real: Blasting music in a public space (that isnt a concert or a city/town festival) should be punishable via executon. (They probably have the balls to repeat thier offense no matter what you tell them)
I don’t know if some furries feel if they shower the con will disappear or what. Oh well thank god we have body wash that comes in many scents and smells
I havent had to use elevators on my own very often and never a crowded one as i live more rural. What does going up to go down even mean? That the elevator is set on a schedule of stoping at every floor and you ride it until it wraps back around to the first floor if you are on the second so the issue is just that youre crowing the space for longer then needed? Is it something to do with the up and down call elevator buttons on the outside and doing it the wrong way so its like a turn signal? Is there one elevator for going down and one for going up? how does the prority system even work here? Is the main issue causing the elevator to delay by moving inefficiently or crowing the space too much? have so many questions.
there are three main floors to this hotel so sometimes people on the top floor of the lobby will ride it down to the lower floors then go back up to whatever floor they actually wanted to go to is basically what that means
I'm not the type to blast my music loud unless if I'm at work in the back of bakery or otw to work on bike. When I'm at a fur meet in Arizona I have my music volume level on past the white towards the orange at least two clicks up no further than that. I have those mini JBL clip speakers so it's not really that loud.
I love Furry Con's but god dammit,is it wrong I find squeak suiters annoying? It can be funny or cute when used sparingly but the incessant squeaking can be super irritating, especially if the con venue has an echo
As a georgia native, I wish I could go to my first fur con, sadly I reside in Savannah ga and gonna move back to my hometown in the country and just...ugh.. sad. No furs around anywhere lol
I imagine someone in fur suit walking into an anti-furry convention where everyone is dressed up like master chief or doom guy and the furry just beats everyone who tries to attack them. It would be awesome.
I'll add, 621, any convention. I went to a comic con to pick up something, I'm 25 feet away from a cosplayer, outside standing near my truck, and I could smell em were I was standing. Yes use Sure and soap please..
unfortunately, in regards to the first one, sometimes you HAVE to go up to go down. I have been at cons where you can stand there and wait for the elevator and watch 20 elevators go down full and watch nearly empty ones go back up. If you have waited that bloody long for an elevator at that point the opinions of anyone who dislikes that you rode up to go back become meaningless to you.
Hey, anyone reading this, I need some advice/help. I'm feeling a bit.. conflicted about the fandom lately, see, I'm very poor, so poor that I can barely feed myself and family, and so I don't have the means to commission art, or go to cons, or do anything really that involves the fandom, so I just watch TH-camrs, but here lately I've watched all the content there really is to offer right now, and when I did a deep dive to find more furry youtubers to watch, it seemed like half of them either got canceled for doing some horrible things, or just fell off the face of the earth, not posting anymore for years at a time. It makes me question myself, that, am I in a fandom that is actually mostly bad? And is everyone who has hated on the fandom, actually right? Idk... Also, If you know of any TH-camrs that make normal/furry TH-cam content in fursuit, let me know, I enjoy those videos more than animations, and I already know about Odin, Majira, and Fluke so you can cross them off the list. I'm also struggling to keep up with the fandom, since I can't seem to figure out what the most popular sites/apps/medias they use these days, and furry reddit is down so I can't look up any info, I just get a bunch of news outlet shit about furries and fake websites listing off websites that aren't used to much anymore, like furaffinity. Anyways... Please, if you read all this, and maybe you've felt lost and down about yourself and the things you like, I'd like to hear how you got over it and started enjoying them again. And let me know of fursuit TH-camrs/furry gamers, who are still around/websites and social media a lot of furries use nowadays. (Feels like I'm stuck in 2016-18 lol)
furrys use a lot of discord\telegram\twitter these days not sure about furry gamers don't really watch many probably some on twitch if you like that kinda thing.
Am I the only person that doesn't have a problem with going down to go up? I may not be understanding it right (I don't think I am lol) cause I have never heard of it before and I don't get it? Why is it bad to ride it twice?
I think it’s just because it takes up extra room in the elevator- not too much of a big deal, but it’s just like- wouldn’t you rather have at least one body worth of space in the elevator?
there are three floors to the lobby of that con so people on the top floor of the lobby will often hop on it when its going down taking up space that people on the lower levels then can't get on to go up it just makes everything take longer basically it really just rude. people on the higher lobby that are able should simply ride the escalator down to the lowest floor and they go up since it should be the first stop except you know for the people who go down to go up.
So~ am I allowed to come to a convention in a Demihuman form? Ps edit; I’m usually a silent type in person other than like 1-2 peoples that I end up hitting off with and talking to most of the time

Chasing after people, pulling tails, asking questions like “Do you fuck your dog?” And filming while people don’t want to be filmed….this trend seems to be getting worse….
weird I didn't see any and they will for sure get kicked out if security catches them
Never been to a convention unfortunately, but I'm gonna keep this video in mind if i ever go to one, Furry or not Furry con.
Volunteering at a furry convention seems like a lot of fun. When looking at a con in Ohio I saw they were looking for volunteers. I wasn’t able to go but when I am able to go to cons, I will definitely look at volunteering.
Another wild Ohio furry in the semi wild?
@@IvyCoveredAngel close, Indiana furry.
Ohio smelly
The hygene point:
I went to a multi-day camp with a relatively small group, none of them I really knew before-hand.
A heart to heart with caramel dancing playing loud halfway through sounds like a comic skit
should get Mando and Lume as a sponsor and give them booths at the con for the smell factor.
Me when is see a line for the elevator: *Implodes”
Just gonna save this video for future reference when I go to my first fur con
As someone who lives in georgia and not too far from Atlanta and FWA, you are so right, it is soooo god damn humid and hot here, you literally cant live here with a weak ac, it gets especially terrible in the summer too
I feel the elevators. I'm a both wheelchair bound/invisible handicapped person, and also a fursuiter. If I'm trying to go up it means one of 3 things. I need to eat (hypoglycemia calling), I need hydration/cooling, or I need to sleep/bathe/etc. Luckily I've been met with overflowing kindness at elevator time
"I... AM... A... FURRY"
"I AM"
**Pause**
"I AM A FURRY!"
@Zanophane_Gaming
Not funny! Those memes are offensive to the autism community, which I'm a part of!
@@Optimegatrongodzilla You do realize I’m making a joke at the thumbnail. And you can’t argue “that’s very offensive to the autism community” because I also have autism.
Also THIS WAS 9 MONTHS AGO SO SHUT.
@@Zanophane_Gaming I had no way of knowing that you are also an autist and it doesn't make sense to me how one of us could not be offended by those memes, seeing as how they make fun of an autistic character, but whatever. Take care.
Volounteering at a con sounds like a blast. Helping the community while doing something productive
I've definitely done 'going up to down' myself without being aware of how it can make already overcrowded elevators worse
That place fucking sucked
same i genuinely didnt know. at my cons we have a line and its just a first come sort of deal but now i feel bad
What is a Delota and why did Beta eat it?
WHO THE FUCK BLASTS SOVIET DUBSTEP
WHILST DRESSED AS A R6 SIEGE OPERATOR
there were a bunch of guys dressed up as like swat and stuff it's odd at a furry convention in my opinion but whatever.
My room was on floor 5 so i just stuck to stairs, wonder how anyone above 10 floors are doing though !!
I was on floor 9 I got lucky lol I'd take the pent house elevators that are rarely used up to 10 and walk down
Elevators: install more playground slides adult sized for those needing to go down.
(They probably have the balls to repeat thier offense no matter what you tell them)
Maybe next year you will go on Furry and Fantasy Weekend Poznań (Pyrkon)?
I love this channel! Never fails to make me smile 😊😁. Hope you have a great day, Beta!
Nah, these are general a-hole things. I've never been to a furry convention, and I've met all of these people.
I take elevators up. If its convenient ill take the stairs fown but if i have to go a ways to find stairs im jumping
I don’t know if some furries feel if they shower the con will disappear or what.
Oh well thank god we have body wash that comes in many scents and smells
having a heart to heart with caramelldansen playing in the background
I remember when someone pushed All the buttons at anthro northwest 2019 and the elevator drived everybody nuts then it became a meme.
Con attendees: Deodorant counts as a shower, right? **sprays a whole can**
I havent had to use elevators on my own very often and never a crowded one as i live more rural.
I don't understand the loud music part neither, although this happens everywhere, especially in public transport.
I love Furry Con's but god dammit,is it wrong I find squeak suiters annoying? It can be funny or cute when used sparingly but the incessant squeaking can be super irritating, especially if the con venue has an echo
I feel that.
I just take the stairs to go up 20 floors
I love that thumbnail so much.
Hey Beta! Are you ever planning on attending Eurofurence?
Same Question from me!
It was more of a "free Fur all" No pun intended.
As a georgia native, I wish I could go to my first fur con, sadly I reside in Savannah ga and gonna move back to my hometown in the country and just...ugh.. sad. No furs around anywhere lol
Great vid. I feel like there should be a part 2.
I would be scared
Big costumes scare me.
Why people blast music?
Showing off, trying to be an asshole attempting to get a misdemeanor charge.
the people who play music at cons are only there to be disruptive, they don't shower either
Oh poo, I accidentally went down the elevator to the wrong floor, woe is me
NO WAY YOU MET THE BANDIT FURSUITER? SHUT UPPP YOUR SO LUCKY ME AND MY FRIEND WOULD HAVE DIED FOR THAT XDDDD
It’s just funny watching him rant about elevators for like 5 mins strait
I imagine someone in fur suit walking into an anti-furry convention where everyone is dressed up like master chief or doom guy and the furry just beats everyone who tries to attack them. It would be awesome.
I'll add, 621, any convention. I went to a comic con to pick up something, I'm 25 feet away from a cosplayer, outside standing near my truck, and I could smell em were I was standing. Yes use Sure and soap please..
And hold your farts..
I understand the speaker problem cause I have ultrasonic hearing so my ears are a lot more sensitive than most.
YOU MET THE OFFICIAL BANDIT? YOU ARE BEYOND LUCKY!
9:19 Kepping yourself clean at cons... 621 rule! Me:😱 "6h of sleep, 2 meals a day, 1 shower" also me:😮💨
The guy with the neon jacket, boombox, and skateboard was most likely my brother >^w^
@BetaEtaDelota
You seriously need to change the thumbnail! Those memes are offensive to the autism community, which I'm a part of!
unfortunately, in regards to the first one, sometimes you HAVE to go up to go down. I have been at cons where you can stand there and wait for the elevator and watch 20 elevators go down full and watch nearly empty ones go back up. If you have waited that bloody long for an elevator at that point the opinions of anyone who dislikes that you rode up to go back become meaningless to you.
4:30 that sign should be in every elavator Imo, not just furry conventions lol
I haven't yet been to a con, but I definitely want to go to FWA because of the venue. I have a hard-on for John Portman hotels (and I am a chick).
What did the guy from Maze Runners do? ~.w~
What about vrchat furry con?
Won't be an issue, only music and u comfortable comments/conversations with that one. Same with RGB strobe models/avatars
Baby poewder to soak up the sweat helps.
thought you weren't supposed to do that
Hey, anyone reading this, I need some advice/help.
Ur cracked at piano my guy
With speakers so smoll… they are kinda week,
Or I’m just used to sound cannons
I AM A FURRY DR. KNOT
there was one in atlanta why didnt i hear of this :( i live in atl

My older brother has the same shirt :3
So~ am I allowed to come to a convention in a Demihuman form?
Ps edit; I’m usually a silent type in person other than like 1-2 peoples that I end up hitting off with and talking to most of the time
0:37 DAD!
