Tiny T.W.I.M that's a pretty common edge guard option, it's also pretty easy to get even wlithout watching videos, you can clearly see the tip of the sword going lower than Ike..
@@John_Smith_ Not to mention now Ike got extra range if charged all the way. As if eruption isn't OP enough! XD
Stygian Shadow since you have to charge it for hours I think the extra range is pretty nice
@@John_Smith_ And it makes the recoil worth it. Now stalling for those extra 2 seconds is much more deadlier
Stygian Shadow yeah, I even use that move sometimes... I prefer using it to land on my opponent instead of edge guarding with it though

The real shit in this montage is how clean and simple it look : it's how ike is mean to be played, it's all about basics mastered. Wonderful montage man.

It doesn't matter how many times I play Ike or watch him be played, I will always love seeing those blue flames engulf his sword when he uses Counter or Eruption. So cool.
The looping of "The Devoted" from the premium arrange was well done, I fully expected the Black Knight theme to play right after

Love this! Glad to see you're still playing this character. I haven't had much time to play since the game came out and I couldn't get used to the changes in Ike's playstyle so I ended up using other characters more. Think I'll pick him up again the next time I fire up my Switch!

Another awesome montage, and your music selection this time around was superb. In my opinion, you can't beat the Premium Arrange in terms of FE music. By the way, you should submit that last clip of you killing the Wii Fit Trainer with their own ball to the Beefy Smash Doods' Smash Review. (Unless you already have) I think it would very easily get into Smash Review. They love clips with Wii Fit's ball. Keep up the great play.

Btw do you perfer smash 4 ike or ultimate ike. I personally perfer smash 4 ike even though he's considered better in ultimate. To me atleast he seems off a little, probably because his up throw combos, fair, and bair were nerfed. I do miss bair out of shield :(
Tbh. I prefer the nerf. So when it doesn't kill, you can just watch your opponent trying to recover only to be met by either a spike, counter, or an eruption to the face XD. (I still love smash 4 Ike tho. RIP the Ryocopter)

Honestly speaking, I miss Smash 4 Ike a lot. Some techniques such as ledge trump or footstool combos are not present in ultimate, and it was a very good way to mix up your gameplay using them. Ledge trump adds more the Ike's personality, which is being an edge guarder, having that tool emphasize more on that personality!
Overall, I don't dislike Smash Ultimate Ike, but the way the developers transformed the mechanics of the game doesn't really benefit Ike. I'm saying this because one other characteristic of Ike is being a 50/50 character, that teaches the other player to choose wisely their next option. In Ultimate, I don't feel this sensation any longer unfortunately, or just a little bit at times. Another point that is worth mentioning is that nair to upair who also hides Ikes real nature of being primarily an edge guarder. Why go for an edge guard when you can just send your opponent upwards with a consistent nair to upair?
In the end, Ike is good, but maybe not the way I would like him to be :)

I'm quite surprised to see so many comments complaining about ike's nair on this montage, as I tried my best to diversify my clips by using some uncommon moves :)
SebWind4 I was making fun of Ike himself. Any swordie's like that in this amazingly balanced game, your video was kinda unusual without all the air shenanigans

Le premier est qu'ils sont des montages où vous montrez vos compétences (sans utiliser de memes ou de sons non pertinents). That is true. It also lets you combo into it at higher %. However, a forward hit nair to RAR bair is very deadly, especially since 90+% of opponents will DI it wrong.

i can tell ur an fe fan by the skill edits, but i’ve got some questions. is eruption really a skill and is ike’s side dash actually supposed to be luna or did you just want skill placeholders since you had added the aether and counter skill effect?
Eruption isn't an official FE skill, it was made up for smash only (The closest skill to it would be ignis from awakening). As for side B, if you played FE Fates with the Ike amiibo, when he procs aether, it's a combination of ike's up B and side B from smash. Following that logic, up B should be actually Sol and not Aether, and side B is Luna :)

Yo it’s so weird because what’s counted as Aether in smash is actually just Sol. The actual Aether skill is Sol and then Luna, which is up b and then side b I just don’t get it tbh

4:22 how do you do this? Doesn't B-reverse send you flying ? you turn around without moving an inch
Doing it while jumping from the ledge doesn't really impact your momentum. It's a cool trick if you want to quickly edgeguard people with eruption while recovering from the ledge.
