A lot of times when fatality loses, it's because of Captain Falcon quite literally being outclassed by the other character. Best example I can think of off the top of my head was when he took Nairo to 5 games against his Palu but never had any options that beat her NAIR. In this case, however, Mkleo just had his number. There were so many great spot dodges and recovery reads in just the first 2 stocks. That BAIR mixup off the platform for the final blow may not have looked that special to the average viewer, but he predicted fatality's DI against an up air like he had done earlier in the match in the same scenario. Ike is a strong character, but fatality has beaten plenty of good players using sword characters in Ultimate. This was just a case of Mkleo being on an entirely different level. No disrespect to fatality here obviously...he's an amazing player but that match was a great example of the gap between a great and an elite player.
Honestly that match was pretty sloppy in a few instances on both ends. You can see the desperation of fatality on his third stock when he chased off ledge in panic mode. Likewise, mkleo was incredibly formulaic the whole match and didn't learn to chase with an up b from literally the exact same combo he had landed on the first stock for the third. Both didn't do their best at all in my opinion.
All 3 of those Ikes have noticeably different playstyles; Mkleo: Brutal and precise conversions off of aerials. Zackray: Patiently waiting for his opponent to slip up and punishing them accordingly for even the slightest mistake. Marss: A drunk guy swinging his sword around and killing people with the biggest dumbass energy (and I mean that in the best possible way). Out of all 3, Marss is definitely my favorite (especially considering how different it feels from his ultra precise ZSS).
Retierashia same. Mkleo is just a raw efficiency machine with ike. I think its absolutely amazing to watch him flawlessly convert every nair (which he so perfectly spaces) into an up air or back air or even another nair. Too bad he doesnt play ike anymore :/

Mkleo is a genius... 1:52 So, Leo extends his Nair Combo with the platform. Fatality expected an Upair so he DI'd away to not gettin' killed at the upper blastzone. But Leo mixed things up with a Bair at the end. The result: Fatality looses. I know my english is crap, but you gotta say that was fantastic!

Now that Ike has had his spotlight, basically everyone knows everything he can do. This means that now all Ike players have at high level are their fundamentals and generally just outplaying the opponent. You can really tell who a good player is by their Ike.
That commentator "Ike looking like Chrom out here with that up+B" uhh... Ike had that move first, if anything Chrom looks like Ike when he does that move

I main ike and my favorite type of player to match up against in online smash is people who spam counter. There is nothing more fun than charging a forward smash, watching them fall ontop of me and counter, me KNOWING they were going to do that so i hold it just a bit longer, and then let it rip and delete their stock at 45% And that is precisely why counters should only be used sparingly when you know you can hit it (for example any character that likes to spam landing with a falling down air like any of the links i like to Counter) or as an edgegaurding tool.
Felix Gutierrez i doubt they will nerf nair. Its not broken people just complain. Ike isnt considered to be a top tier character. But if they fucking do............ i will still keep playing ike because i think hes so badass but ill swear too, many many times.
The worst annoyance there is in the game, Sweet! A super killing machine with no landing lag, insane range and disconnected attk, hard to kill, multi-choice recovery and many more. He’s so one dimentional in his gameplay that it’s actually boring to watch. Nair, nair, nair, Uair, ennemy killed, restart. He got his flaws too, for sure. But they are overshadowed by everything i said above. An S tier character for any poor new/occasionnal player and a B+ in tourney because everybody a little bit good at he game got experienced enough playing around his 2 stupid and boring moves. And meanwhile, me: f*cking hell i can’t play against this stupid helicopter. It’s like Ness’s players who are just spamming to death. A stupid and horrible annoyance. When i play againt an Ike or a Ness, i simply quit. Those match are the worst. But eh! Play what you want guys and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise! If you like Ike, well play him all you want! Enjoy the game and have fun! I’ll be here cursing in a low voice.

They should nerf just Nair, such a slow character needs to have the reach to compete with faster enemies. They should nerf EVERY other swordie in the game, because this is "the most balanced smash ever". That's bullcrap lmao
