Living in a very hot and dry country none of the perfumes would last longer than 5 minutes....I have some of yours and have tried 😒 several ...they work only during cooler months here ....at least on me.
That's a shame, I guess here it's usually around 25 on a good day and humid in the summer so might not be comparable. Which do you tend to reach for? Do you have any recommendations? ☺️

Let me mention some other hidden gems that would fit in: 1. solar/flowery category: Aqua Mahana by Le Couvent Maison de Parfum - a new release by Jean-Claude Ellena. It's somewhere between Guerlain's Terracotta and Narciso Ambrée but with no coconut, less flowers, less sweet; a very clean ylang-frangipani combination with a slight hint of saltiness. 2. citrus category: Verveine Cédrat by Jeanne en Provence - a realistic citrusy and almost oily masterpiece for a ridiculously low price. Just when you really peel a lemon/blood orange, very aromatic. 3. green or fruity category: Infusion de Figue by Prada - a 2023 release, a true masterpiece. It's figgy, green and powdery at the same time and lasts forever. These all are worth a try ❤

I absolutely love solar fragrances, I've been really enjoying fleurdenya recently too. I love verbena fragrances, so I'll check no.2 out as well and no.3 I have tried in store. My four picks for affordable summer fragrances would be: Le Parfum by Lalique -- when you need an elegant summer scent Vanilla Vibes by Juliet has a Gun -- has both aquatic and beachy "vibes" Still by Jennifer Lopez -- This is the only perfume that I can claim "TH-cam made me buy it." Or at least all of those whose videos I follow. I generally avoid celebrity perfumes like the plague. But I have to admit this is a light, very pleasing scent. Red Delicious by Donna Karan -- Captures the essence of a Red Delicious apple. (Red Delicious is an actual variety of American apples.) The notes are: champagne, lychee, raspberry, apple, rose, amber, musk and vanilla.
Hi Kat! Oh TH-cam is very random with what it screens out and what it doesn't 😂 I don't get it most of the time. I really want to try le parfum by lalique. I have been keeping my eye out for a bottle secondhand, I like the idea of the bay with the vanilla, it sounds really unique. Vanilla vibes I might have tried but I don't remember it so I will go try it again. Still I had a sample of from Julija (scentsiblings) I can't say I loved it, but sometimes samples are very different to full bottles or maybe those notes are just not for me. I know I'm the only one in the world to think that... Red delicious my friend offered me her old bottle of and I didn't take it as I knew it was discontinued and I felt guilty, but yes, it's a nice one and I've eaten many a red delicious 😋 thanks for your suggestions! Powdery solar catagory. I think they were all nice. My Insolence EDT would work magically in this catagory I think. I love your cute little citrus ones there. I must say I'm not a huge citrus lover Ooo I loved the greenness of the fig. Cadrene was quite pleasant indeed. Green is an interesting sometimes to me. Nova... Yea it lasts decades U know me I wear whatever however inappropriate it is 😊😅
Yes I insolence, all versions, is gorgeous but yes I would love to try my insolence, it's a pricey one nowadays though. I will send you the citrus, I know you're not a big fan, me neither really. But there's something about summer that makes me want to try harder with citrus fragrances (not light blue though 😂). The fig is my favourite I think ☺️ I wore nova yesterday, did you smell it? The perfumes I wore the most last summer were: Lazy Sunday Morning (so beautiful, a lovely fresh woody forward with watery florals), Green Tea, Light Blue Forever, Mediterranean by Elizabeth Arden and Born Lovely( nice fresh floral)
Lazy Sunday Morning is one of the few Replica fragrances that I've not tried, I will go sniff it. Light blue forever is the nicest for me of the line that I've tried and my friend wears Mediterranean. I would love to pick that one up! Thanks for watching, I hope you have a great week 🥰
Guimauve seems like the perfect bedtime scent for me 💕 !! I love Cerruti too, it sticks all day on me, make me think of my childhood!(it used to be my mum signature scent in the 90') I really enjoyed Verveine Agrumes from l'occitane!! Ohhh le Jardin de Monsieur Li (has been my signature for the whole 2018 summer) 💛 I have to try the Theodoros Kalotinis fragrances!!!✨✨ Oh the mint and jasmine one sounds sooo interesting (like a spa fragrance). I love Florabotanica 💕 so special, to me it smells like a very high hand face cream 😊 L'impératrice is a great great summer fragrance!! I like to spray it in my hair 😅(I'm a rebel lol) Oh the litchi in Angel Nova is so photorealistic, I love it 💕 Versace Cristal Noir edt may be my BF's favorite on me, he loves that one !! Yes Cerruti 1881 is the ultimate in nostalgia isn't it? It really takes you back. I need to try some more of the verveine flankers, I've really enjoyed the few I've sampled. I want some more theodoros Kalotinis fragrances. They are all good from the 6 I've tried. I think with lemon dulci you have to be ok with sweet lemon, it's quite a herbal feeling one, even a little medicinal. Hi Claire, it's not summer anymore and yet here I am watching your video. 😆 I don't have any coconut fragrances and now that we are past that time of year I am unlikely to consider them until next summer anyway. I typically pull for my light freshies when it's hot. I have several Guerlain Aqua Allegorias now. I wore Cloud this summer as it felt light for a gourmand leaning perfume. I wear my frags with tart notes like rhubarb and citrus or fresh notes like mint. I was using some tuberose and orange blossom frags. I also have been using my tea scents. I had a few perfumes I expected I would wear and didn't end up pulling out. That's most likely due to trying to use up the fragrance I didn't love ironically. I am days away from getting the bottle done (yay)! From your list here, I only have the Crystal Noir. That wasn't a love for me, but it has grown on me with time. I think it's primarily because I struggle with white musk. Most people rather like that form of musk as it's like laundry. I find it fairly strong smelling and that may be why it bothers me. Hi Jenn, I can rhubarb working really well in warmer weather. I was also trying to finish some that I liked but didn't love too, it's odd really 🙃 I just hate to see them wasted and if I don't hate it, I'd rather just spritz it on after work as a refresher... Ooooh I saw that L’Occitane have a limited edition Verbena that’s just been released called Verbena Carrot Flower! I can’t wait to go and test it! Love Le Jardin Monsieur Li. Wish I could get those perfumes for cheaper….. I’d have at least 4 of the range if they were more affordable. The new Cythere dries down into a heavenly scent and I want it sooooo baaad!
Oh I hadn't heard about carrot flower, I will have to go try it 😊 I managed to get a full 30ml of le jardin de Monsieur li for not a lot, I think it was £12 but that's rare, I agree they are pricey. Don’t think I’ll ever be able to declutter Cerruti 1881. Its old fashioned for a lot of people but there’s something very comforting about it. I agree it’s very meadow-like…dry, grassy, dainty wild flowers. Beautiful
I so agree with you, coconut is such a cliché for summer. But, in coconut's defence we can´t deny is really attached to the memory of vacations and summer. So, I love both! Great selection Claire.
I have never tried a Mac fragrance unfortunately. About three of them, including turquatic, were stocked in John Lewis but they've been gone for some years now. It's a shame, I would love to try it. Thanks for the suggestion ☺️
Hey Claire. When I first smelled Florabotanica a couple of years ago I loved it. Last year I didn’t like it because of the green note which was one of things I loved about it. This year I love it again 🤷🏽♀️ L’Occitane Verveine and Alluring Fig sound really nice. I really tried to Crystal Noir EDP and the EDT but I just didn’t like them I’m excited to wear Mac Turquatic. It’s a beautiful light aquatic summer fragrance
LOL that's a complicated relationship with florabotanica... Verveine and alluring fig are worth trying and I totally get that crystal noir has something that can become annoying. Sometime I love it and others I don't feel like wearing it. It's a mood I think. I would love to try turquatic, unfortunately the Mac fragrances are hard to find in the UK though. I’m often gravitating towards coconut scents in the summer but this year I’ve been turning to my freshies.. Chance Eau Fraîche or Eau Vive are getting a lot of uses. Same for all my Atelier Cologne fuit scents such as Orange Sanguine and Lemon Island. I must say that we had about 6 days of summer so far! 😅 It’s been cold and rainy so I may not be in the summer vibe yet! 😂 Have s great weekend Claire!

I got a small 30ml of Lemon Island this week and it's great. I wanted to get the Lime one and made a mistake, but it's turned out to be a nice surprize. Haven't tried Orange Sanguine, but really like Clémentine California.
This year when it is really hot - more than 30 °C - I enjoy Acqua Di Gioia by Giorgio Armani so much. It starts very refreshing and then you feel like you found a place to rest in the shade of trees. At temperatures between 25 and 30 °C for my everyday life I currently use Mexx Summer Bliss EDT (limited, fruity floral, very affordable). I would love to hear your opinion on these, Thank you so much for your list - so many perfumes I would love to try! 😅
I've tried acqua di gioia but only the reformulation and only in store. I remember thinking it was quite different and liking it but I don't remember much beyond that. I don't think I've ever seen the mexx fragrances, there used to be mexx shops, I had some jeans and a top from them, but they left the UK some years ago. Perhaps they are available online though. Can I also say appreciate staying away from the coconut scents.... people are crazy about their coconut scents not a huge fan if I am being honest! Claire you hear and top and makeup are so on point this video looking good girl! Not a sweet fragrance kind of girl but orange citrus give me! lol. Every once in awhile L'Occitane really surprises me with lovely scents..... this I can get behind sounds really nice! Bingo you just hit one perhaps one of my most favourite fragrances to date! Great suggestions, as always. 😁 I can't wait to wear Le Jardin de M. Li (and Un Jardin sur le Toît, which is juicy and fresh; nice shampoo bodywash like feel), but a lot of my fragrances are still in boxes. Bought Florabotanica last Summer and didn't think much of it. Tried it again this year and enjoyed it much more (good to know my being noseblind to it might not mean it has poor performance). I have the L'Impératrice (without the 3) and I don't go for it too much. Really like Ocean di Gioia. It's such a nice aquatic pear scent. Also go for my Issey Miyake fragrances. If you want to smell kumquat, get your nose on Dama Bianca.
Yes issey miyake is perfect for summer, I finished l'eau d'issey florale last year and this year I've been using pleats please l'eau. I will try to sample dama Bianca. Florabotanica is one that I think is fairly long lasting and really strong! But it's one I only notice when I wash my clothes or when someone else comments on it. I think D&G took the 3 off because they discontinued the rest of the line. It's a shame. I would have like to try no. 14. L'imperatrice is a nice simple fruity one, nothing complicated I guess. Love a lemon verbena, the L'Occitane one is great. The Chopard one sounds lovely too. I love Le Jardin de Monsieur Li, I wouldn't mind picking up a 30ml of that. Love Cadrene and Cerruti. Fab summer ones Claire. Cadrene cools me down, I wore it to work today. I've also bought it for my Mum for her birthday, she will love it 💚

Hi Claire ❤ Coconut is suffocating me in +35 C, although I do enjoy this note.. I have the Chopard Lemon Dulci & it does last okey-ish & feels like a lemonade! It's great for layering, especially with woods, too.
Oh yes I can imagine it going really well with a cedarwood. It would be lovely. I do love coconut too, but even fragrances like coconut fizz can be too much for me when it's really hot. Thanks for watching 🥰

I used to wear Crystal Noir EDT but found I like Aerin Cedar Violet and Cacharel Amor Amor better. I'm looking for more mint and lemon fragrances so thank you! Some of my favorites are Amor Amor & Noa by Cacharel, Paris by Balenciaga, Cedar Violet by Aerin, Chanel No. 19, BBW Rose, Sweet Petal Pound Cake & Christmas Cookies. And the Aroma and Aromatherapy lines by BBW below contain my two favorite scents of all time. Calm Haven: Lavender & Iris and the perfect creamy, solar light summer scent; Sun: Orange Flower & Sandalwood. Eventually I have to find a longer lasting perfume that is like the BBW Rose and Orange Flower b/c it is just so divine. Thanks for the vid and recs!

Makes me think of going to the roller rink with her. It wasn't around back then of course but, something about it just brings me back to a very specific time, like apricots, slushies and cola. And it's such a cheapie! Perfect for summer, just toss it in the bag. Thanks again for the content! My collection is 12 perfumes and 50 body sprays. I'd like it to be around 60 all in all instead with 20 perfumes and 40 body sprays (as those are great for hot weather and cheapie) A pleasure listening to you!
Yay! I'm seconds in, but as you know I don't go for the typical coconut or beachy sun tan frags on me, they can be too cloying and I'm just too sticky and sweaty to make them work on my skin. Looking forward to seeing what you've got in store for us today 🙌

This is just great, how you came up with this big variety, in several categories, all under the umbrella of an affordable price and suitability for summer. Lemon Dulci is unique, so bright and refreshing; my favourite citrus+mint. And the heat kept me mostly in the citrus category (so beauties like Guimauve, Florabotanica and Crystal Noir stay untouched). Mostly I've been obsessed with 4711's 2023 Remix; such a bright, zesty, fruity lemon without much else. Their annual Remixes are generally worth a try if possible imho, and last summer I was doused in Woods of Scandinavia. This year it's Chloé EdT and Bleu de Chanel, unexpected rediscovered favourites I love in the heat.
I would love to try some of the more modern 4711 fragrances, the violet one they had really attracted me but I never picked it up. They are quite affordable. Bleu de Chanel gets a lot of love these days and I did used to have a flanker of Chloe but I finished it. It smelt like rose lemonade and was perfect for summer. I hope you have a fab week! Thank you! I have never seen a 4711 in a shop actually, other than the original. It's hard to send fragrance to the UK, technically you require a special import licence so thank you very much, but I don't want you to inadvertently break the law. It's a right pain 😂

I love citrus fragrances but I have none that you mentioned.I love fragrances that has fig in their notes. Ineed to add that to my wishlist fragrances. Minty rosé fragrance wished I could of sniffed this one. I love sweet rose fragrances. I have that fragrance I love it it’s smells so good I didn’t smell the kiwi either it’s long lasting I used the whole bottle up last month lol. Thanks for sharing and i want the Versace one as well.

Hi Dr.Smith🙋 I love your channel; I'm just not commenting as often. I hope you will consider a video regarding the positive, psychological (?) responses that perfume presents. Though I only drink 1-2 cups of coffee or tea daily, the aroma immediately lifts my spirits/mood. I haven't found a coffee fragrance that tops the real thing, but gourmands, certainly have that appeal, as they are so comforting. I am experiencing chronic health issues and further evaluation, and I try any feasible, non medication activity to achieve a positive outlook. Perfume is a significant inclusion. I don't know if you feel this is a subject that you (or subbies) would be interested in, or is it just a given, and needs no further mention? Just a suggestion 🤷 Thanks for highlighting citrus centric fragrances. I love Lemon❤ and I'm checking out the *Choppard one you reviewed. L'Occitane Verbina is heavenly. Francine

Love NR Ambree. I feel my blood pressure go down when I sniff it. I love a squirt before bed. It's very relaxing. I blind bought the Chopard a while back and hated it. Went straight into my donation box. Sickly sweet with no depth. Uninteresting and icky to my nose.
Narciso ambrée is lovely creamy powdery floral, you're right! Very relaxing. And weirdly same with lemon dulci, I really wasn't sure to begin with. The lemon sweet felt like a lot to begin with and I really wasn't sure, but I wore it a few times and I got into it thankfully. @@dr.claire.perfume yes, we only discovered l'imperitrice a couple years ago. It was still at Sephora. She fell in love and got a bottle at Marshalls. Our Marshalls isn't doing that great with having lots of fragrances these days... But it was fun while it lasted 😂🤣
Same with my local TKMaxx unfortunately. I guess they sell what's profitable.I also think a lot gets stolen which is perhaps why they've stopped stocking as many of them.
Lots of lovely summer fragrances here, and like you, not typical coconut sun tan lotion types. 👍 I've noticed i enjoy either green style fragrances or more fun carefree fragrances when it's hot. Crystal Noir is still one i love to wear, though i have the EDP which is spicier and does i think have coconut. Nova is great for that fun bubbly vibe. Also. . I'm looking online for the Eau Croisiere 2020 Angel. I went back to the sample you sent me, and i think i prefer it to my 2019. I love the fig in it. I think Angel are due another release? Tut tut 😅. They normally release a new summer one yearly. . I'm over here waiting impatiently. My go to summer fragrances so far have been Green Butterfly, Angel eau Croissiere 2019, Rosa Pop from Guerlain and Ormonde Woman. Xxx
I think I only ever tried the EDP once in store. At one point Versace reformulated them, around 2020/21 so I'm not sure if the new ones smell the same. When I tried 2019 I must say I preferred the 2020, as you say, it's just easier. I didn't try iced star, but most people I've watched say you don't need 2020 and iced star because they feel similar. I don't know about Mugler right now. I feel they are concentrating on Alien for their summer releases with this new goddess supra flora whatever. They didn't release a summer angel last year at all. I'm trying soie malaquais today... I don't think I smell like Chantel did, but I'm amazed by how strong it is! Thanks for letting me try it ❤️
Yeah I've not tried it, I did look at it. If it helps at all Lemon Dulci is along a similar line to Olfactive Studio Still Life in Rio. For me, something bothered me about it, I assume it was the shiso as I've no clue what that is and I know how everything else should smell that's listed. I ended up decluttering the bottle and gifting it to a friend who absolutely loved it and has now finished the bottle. 🥰

There is only the EDT in this fragrance I think and then there was an intense version they released a year or so back, that had a lot of strawberry, but it was much more expensive.
Finally a video that I can relate to affordable choices! I’ve been needing this! I am sooooo into fig right now alluring fig sounds awesome 🙂 I have the Chopard scent and it reminds me of a cold glass of unsweetened lemonade with mint lol love your choices I’m going to look some up! 🤗

Living in a very hot and dry country none of the perfumes would last longer than 5 minutes....I have some of yours and have tried 😒 several ...they work only during cooler months here ....at least on me.
That's a shame, I guess here it's usually around 25 on a good day and humid in the summer so might not be comparable. Which do you tend to reach for? Do you have any recommendations? ☺️
Great video (as always) & another lovely list! 😍 Thank you, Claire! 🥰I use most of them these days, love them and totally agree. Alluring fig is definitely very underrated. Let me mention some other hidden gems that would fit in:
1. solar/flowery category: Aqua Mahana by Le Couvent Maison de Parfum - a new release by Jean-Claude Ellena. It's somewhere between Guerlain's Terracotta and Narciso Ambrée but with no coconut, less flowers, less sweet; a very clean ylang-frangipani combination with a slight hint of saltiness.
2. citrus category: Verveine Cédrat by Jeanne en Provence - a realistic citrusy and almost oily masterpiece for a ridiculously low price. Just when you really peel a lemon/blood orange, very aromatic.
3. green or fruity category: Infusion de Figue by Prada - a 2023 release, a true masterpiece. It's figgy, green and powdery at the same time and lasts forever.
These all are worth a try ❤

My four picks for affordable summer fragrances would be:
Le Parfum by Lalique -- when you need an elegant summer scent
Vanilla Vibes by Juliet has a Gun -- has both aquatic and beachy "vibes"
Still by Jennifer Lopez -- This is the only perfume that I can claim "TH-cam made me buy it." Or at least all of those whose videos I follow. I generally avoid celebrity perfumes like the plague. But I have to admit this is a light, very pleasing scent.
Red Delicious by Donna Karan -- Captures the essence of a Red Delicious apple. (Red Delicious is an actual variety of American apples.) The notes are: champagne, lychee, raspberry, apple, rose, amber, musk and vanilla.

I really want to try le parfum by lalique. I have been keeping my eye out for a bottle secondhand, I like the idea of the bay with the vanilla, it sounds really unique. Vanilla vibes I might have tried but I don't remember it so I will go try it again. Still I had a sample of from Julija (scentsiblings) I can't say I loved it, but sometimes samples are very different to full bottles or maybe those notes are just not for me. I know I'm the only one in the world to think that... Red delicious my friend offered me her old bottle of and I didn't take it as I knew it was discontinued and I felt guilty, but yes, it's a nice one and I've eaten many a red delicious 😋 thanks for your suggestions! The perfumes I wore the most last summer were: Lazy Sunday Morning (so beautiful, a lovely fresh woody forward with watery florals), Green Tea, Light Blue Forever, Mediterranean by Elizabeth Arden and Born Lovely( nice fresh floral)
Lazy Sunday Morning is one of the few Replica fragrances that I've not tried, I will go sniff it. Light blue forever is the nicest for me of the line that I've tried and my friend wears Mediterranean. I would love to pick that one up! Thanks for watching, I hope you have a great week 🥰

I think with lemon dulci you have to be ok with sweet lemon, it's quite a herbal feeling one, even a little medicinal.

it's not summer anymore and yet here I am watching your video. 😆
I don't have any coconut fragrances and now that we are past that time of year I am unlikely to consider them until next summer anyway.
I typically pull for my light freshies when it's hot. I have several Guerlain Aqua Allegorias now. I wore Cloud this summer as it felt light for a gourmand leaning perfume. I wear my frags with tart notes like rhubarb and citrus or fresh notes like mint. I was using some tuberose and orange blossom frags. I also have been using my tea scents. I had a few perfumes I expected I would wear and didn't end up pulling out. That's most likely due to trying to use up the fragrance I didn't love ironically. I am days away from getting the bottle done (yay)!
From your list here, I only have the Crystal Noir. That wasn't a love for me, but it has grown on me with time. I think it's primarily because I struggle with white musk. Most people rather like that form of musk as it's like laundry. I find it fairly strong smelling and that may be why it bothers me. I do want some if the Hermes Le Jardin series but will wait for next year.

Ooooh I saw that L’Occitane have a limited edition Verbena that’s just been released called Verbena Carrot Flower! I can’t wait to go and test it! Love Le Jardin Monsieur Li. Wish I could get those perfumes for cheaper….. I’d have at least 4 of the range if they were more affordable. The new Cythere dries down into a heavenly scent and I want it sooooo baaad!

Don’t think I’ll ever be able to declutter Cerruti 1881. Its old fashioned for a lot of people but there’s something very comforting about it. I agree it’s very meadow-like…dry, grassy, dainty wild flowers. Beautiful

Hey Claire. When I first smelled Florabotanica a couple of years ago I loved it. Last year I didn’t like it because of the green note which was one of things I loved about it. This year I love it again 🤷🏽♀️

I’m often gravitating towards coconut scents in the summer but this year I’ve been turning to my freshies.. Chance Eau Fraîche or Eau Vive are getting a lot of uses. Same for all my Atelier Cologne fuit scents such as Orange Sanguine and Lemon Island. I must say that we had about 6 days of summer so far! 😅 It’s been cold and rainy so I may not be in the summer vibe yet! 😂 Have s great weekend Claire!

I got a small 30ml of Lemon Island this week and it's great. I wanted to get the Lime one and made a mistake, but it's turned out to be a nice surprize. Haven't tried Orange Sanguine, but really like Clémentine California.

This year when it is really hot - more than 30 °C - I enjoy Acqua Di Gioia by Giorgio Armani so much. It starts very refreshing and then you feel like you found a place to rest in the shade of trees. At temperatures between 25 and 30 °C for my everyday life I currently use Mexx Summer Bliss EDT (limited, fruity floral, very affordable). I would love to hear your opinion on these, Thank you so much for your list - so many perfumes I would love to try! 😅
I've tried acqua di gioia but only the reformulation and only in store. I remember thinking it was quite different and liking it but I don't remember much beyond that. I don't think I've ever seen the mexx fragrances, there used to be mexx shops, I had some jeans and a top from them, but they left the UK some years ago. Perhaps they are available online though. Bought Florabotanica last Summer and didn't think much of it. Tried it again this year and enjoyed it much more (good to know my being noseblind to it might not mean it has poor performance).
I have the L'Impératrice (without the 3) and I don't go for it too much. Really like Ocean di Gioia. It's such a nice aquatic pear scent. Also go for my Issey Miyake fragrances.
If you want to smell kumquat, get your nose on Dama Bianca.
Yes issey miyake is perfect for summer, I finished l'eau d'issey florale last year and this year I've been using pleats please l'eau. I will try to sample dama Bianca.
Florabotanica is one that I think is fairly long lasting and really strong! But it's one I only notice when I wash my clothes or when someone else comments on it.
I think D&G took the 3 off because they discontinued the rest of the line. It's a shame. I would have like to try no. 14. L'imperatrice is a nice simple fruity one, nothing complicated I guess. Have a fab week and thanks for watching 🥰
Love a lemon verbena, the L'Occitane one is great. The Chopard one sounds lovely too. I love Le Jardin de Monsieur Li, I wouldn't mind picking up a 30ml of that. Love Cadrene and Cerruti. Fab summer ones Claire. Cadrene cools me down, I wore it to work today. I've also bought it for my Mum for her birthday, she will love it 💚

Hi Claire ❤ Coconut is suffocating me in +35 C, although I do enjoy this note.. I have the Chopard Lemon Dulci & it does last okey-ish & feels like a lemonade! It's great for layering, especially with woods, too.

I used to wear Crystal Noir EDT but found I like Aerin Cedar Violet and Cacharel Amor Amor better. I'm looking for more mint and lemon fragrances so thank you! Some of my favorites are Amor Amor & Noa by Cacharel, Paris by Balenciaga, Cedar Violet by Aerin, Chanel No. 19, BBW Rose, Sweet Petal Pound Cake & Christmas Cookies. And the Aroma and Aromatherapy lines by BBW below contain my two favorite scents of all time. Calm Haven: Lavender & Iris and the perfect creamy, solar light summer scent; Sun: Orange Flower & Sandalwood. Eventually I have to find a longer lasting perfume that is like the BBW Rose and Orange Flower b/c it is just so divine. Thanks for the vid and recs!

Makes me think of going to the roller rink with her. It wasn't around back then of course but, something about it just brings me back to a very specific time, like apricots, slushies and cola. And it's such a cheapie! Perfect for summer, just toss it in the bag. Thanks again for the content! My collection is 12 perfumes and 50 body sprays. This is just great, how you came up with this big variety, in several categories, all under the umbrella of an affordable price and suitability for summer.
Lemon Dulci is unique, so bright and refreshing; my favourite citrus+mint.
And the heat kept me mostly in the citrus category (so beauties like Guimauve, Florabotanica and Crystal Noir stay untouched). Mostly I've been obsessed with 4711's 2023 Remix; such a bright, zesty, fruity lemon without much else. Their annual Remixes are generally worth a try if possible imho, and last summer I was doused in Woods of Scandinavia.
This year it's Chloé EdT and Bleu de Chanel, unexpected rediscovered favourites I love in the heat.
I would love to try some of the more modern 4711 fragrances, the violet one they had really attracted me but I never picked it up. They are quite affordable. Bleu de Chanel gets a lot of love these days and I did used to have a flanker of Chloe but I finished it. It smelt like rose lemonade and was perfect for summer. I hope you have a fab week! I love citrus fragrances but I have none that you mentioned.I love fragrances that has fig in their notes. Ineed to add that to my wishlist fragrances. Minty rosé fragrance wished I could of sniffed this one. I love sweet rose fragrances. I love your channel; I'm just not commenting as often.
I hope you will consider a video regarding the positive, psychological (?) responses that perfume presents.
Though I only drink 1-2 cups of coffee or tea daily, the aroma immediately lifts my spirits/mood.
I haven't found a coffee fragrance that tops the real thing, but gourmands, certainly have that appeal, as they are so comforting.
I am experiencing chronic health issues and further evaluation, and I try any feasible, non medication activity to achieve a positive outlook. Perfume is a significant inclusion.

Hi Francine! Yes I might do something along those lines, I've been thinking about one of why we associate certain notes with certain moods, almost like colour mapping for emotions. You know me, stuff takes a while to turn into a video. Sometimes I have an idea but I can't make it fit in my head in a video 🤷♀️

I blind bought the Chopard a while back and hated it. Went straight into my donation box. Sickly sweet with no depth. Uninteresting and icky to my nose.
Narciso ambrée is lovely creamy powdery floral, you're right! Very relaxing.
And weirdly same with lemon dulci, I really wasn't sure to begin with. The lemon sweet felt like a lot to begin with and I really wasn't sure, but I wore it a few times and I got into it thankfully. I can totally see it not being for everyone though 🙂 have a fab week and thanks for watching ❤️

Nova is incredibly synthetic I agree, I think you just have embrace it but I know a lot of people don't like it. @@dr.claire.perfume yes, we only discovered l'imperitrice a couple years ago. It was still at Sephora. She fell in love and got a bottle at Marshalls. Our Marshalls isn't doing that great with having lots of fragrances these days... But it was fun while it lasted 😂🤣
Same with my local TKMaxx unfortunately. I guess they sell what's profitable.I also think a lot gets stolen which is perhaps why they've stopped stocking as many of them.

Lots of lovely summer fragrances here, and like you, not typical coconut sun tan lotion types. 👍 I've noticed i enjoy either green style fragrances or more fun carefree fragrances when it's hot.
Crystal Noir is still one i love to wear, though i have the EDP which is spicier and does i think have coconut.
Nova is great for that fun bubbly vibe.
Also. . I'm looking online for the Eau Croisiere 2020 Angel. I went back to the sample you sent me, and i think i prefer it to my 2019. I love the fig in it.
I think Angel are due another release? Tut tut 😅. They normally release a new summer one yearly. . I'm over here waiting impatiently.
My go to summer fragrances so far have been Green Butterfly, Angel eau Croissiere 2019, Rosa Pop from Guerlain and Ormonde Woman. Xxx
I think I only ever tried the EDP once in store. At one point Versace reformulated them, around 2020/21 so I'm not sure if the new ones smell the same.
When I tried 2019 I must say I preferred the 2020, as you say, it's just easier. I didn't try iced star, but most people I've watched say you don't need 2020 and iced star because they feel similar.
I don't know about Mugler right now. I feel they are concentrating on Alien for their summer releases with this new goddess supra flora whatever. They didn't release a summer angel last year at all.

Yeah I've not tried it, I did look at it. If it helps at all Lemon Dulci is along a similar line to Olfactive Studio Still Life in Rio. For me, something bothered me about it, I assume it was the shiso as I've no clue what that is and I know how everything else should smell that's listed. I ended up decluttering the bottle and gifting it to a friend who absolutely loved it and has now finished the bottle. 🥰

how unisex is the Chopard Lemon Dulci? I was eyeing that one for a while wanting a lemony scent for myself 🍋
I'd go for it, it's sweet but on a kind of cough sweet way at the beginning, it's more of a herbal feeling one.

There is only the EDT in this fragrance I think and then there was an intense version they released a year or so back, that had a lot of strawberry, but it was much more expensive.
