As someone who is considering getting into Consulting, this is very helpful. I wanted to know more about the various insurance you mentioned, I am from India idk if it's different for every geography
Depending on the countries that you will operate in, consider the risks. Insure for those risks. i.e. Bad advice and the client sues you, or you cause damage to the clients business, or your staff get sick or have an accident whilst working with client.........
I'm sorry I can't share that level of IP. What I share is is not theoretical, but based on managing my own consulting company for 25 years, and which I still manage. So I'm sure you can appreciate that there are some elements that I cannot share publicly because they give us a competitive edge..

The difficulty for writing RFPs is that you are essentially unbillable for the time that you write it. I'm in consulting engineering, and the struggle with remaining billable is a real challenge sometimes.
Yes. It's the cost of doing business sadly. You need to factor that non billable time into your overall budget. Most of my time these days is non billable.
