You are both wrong - it is actually Pinan Shodan, not Heian Shodan. Since it is Shito Ryu it could not be Heain, right? That it has similarity wih Heian Nidan is because Funakoshi channged the order of the basi kata.
Or else, this Shito-Ryu organisation also changed the word Pinan to sound less Okinawan and more Japanese.

Octopussyist !! my friend, previously it was Pinan Shodan, as per WKF ensurement this is now HEIAN shodan in Shito-Ryu....So my friend never criticize without full information.
