I get people commenting on my how to videos telling me 'no you need to be doing it like this instead', thought for the day if they know exactly HOW to do something why the hell are they watching a 'how to video' on it? Love the kid saying 'majorly bent'. Impressive you bent the chassis, you should check out Thomas Pettersons stuff, he goes REALLY big without problems. I stacked my typhon into a curb at 73mph and it barely bent the chassis....Arrma may bend but plastic snaps.....good first test.

With a tower to tower brace and some aluminum chassis supports, she'll hold up much better (and the body will stay on 😂). Arrma has great aftermarket support. Use the impact gun to tighten the wheels on. They'll stay on tight. That's all I use. The chassis can be hammered back straight on an anvil. Arrma till the end. Don't just bash blast!!
I've got to be honest.....when I examined the chassis in my local rc shop.....I thought it looked to thin.....I have smaller rc cars with thicker...better chassis.... this put me off..... Most people won't test it like you do..lol... so thanks very much Kev for taking it to the max! :--)
Does anyone else love the sound of an RC landing a jump without a body way more than with the body on? When the body is on all you hear is the body's cheap sounding flex and crack, while with the body off you hear the soft thud of the tires and the suspension working. Much more satisfying. :D But of course its a risk without the protection of the body too.
I've seen him jump the Erevo double the height and only, like always, popped out the rod end. I don't really think he beat on the Arrma all that bad to be honest, most all the landings were easy except for the one just before he noticed the bent chassis.

Amazing that it was still relatively drive-able near the end of that flat landing bottoming out massacre! How many RC's on the market now would even last 2 minutes of that? lol 😂
CraigsRC cRC I agree wit everyone, but I still think the kraton is DEFINITELY better than the e Revo 2, unless you have thousands of dollars. Most people will not be ramping the Kraton off of a 30 foot jump. Plus, upgrades would do it really well

Of course the chassis will bend landing those jumps on concrete. It was never designed for that. It's based on a race type truggy chassis. As in...landing on the downside of a jump.
It has a sticker on the body saying to bash it... It doesn't say race it. The chassis is garbage. They should build a stronger one at that price. Btw I own a granite so I'm not hating.
Aluminum chasiss is only good for racing (not bashing) as they bend too easy and heavier than plastic. The extra weight will also cause more breakage on other parts. Thick strong flexible plastic chasiss is the way to for bashers.
Yeah when I first got this thing and saw the chassis in person I was like WTF!? The back end is so narrow and the wheelbase is so wide. Any hard landing with either front or back tires first will bend it no doubt.
For cracked bodys just drill a couple of holes either side of the crack and cable tie sew it up, it looks a mess but it gets the job done, great video kev keep up the great work!
Would you recommend getting one? I can’t pick between the e revo 2.0 and Kraton 6s rtr, but the Kraton is waaay cheaper and has very similar performance from what I have heard. which one would you say is better?
Good thing you can get bits for these now. Was a pain a few months back. Nacked my body within an hour of use when I had my Arrma, not long after the entire car was well worn. Looked the dogs but was not close to traxxas toughness.
I just bought the EREVO 2.0 last Thursday. I really was torn between it and the Kraton. I think I would rather worry about the push rods vs. the chassis bending. Oh, I also needed to put some washers on the body to keep them from ripping out. Looks like the same is needed on the Kraton. Can't wait to see your solution to the EREVO weak points. Holy smokes Kev!! i havent even bent my chassis on my V2 kraton after being on bmx parks three times. ill guess you were a bit unlucky, but you also bashed it really hard.
1:44 i got the same problem while making flips 😂😂 nothing broke it is the hub that took off without breaking anything because everything is so strong and durable that instead of breaking the hubs gets off. You only need to screw it back 😂😂

I'm so happy that you got a arrma as a huge arrma fan I've been really wanting to see you get one of these things and beat them up good thing as you can bend that chassis back no problem I would really like to see you take it to the dirt track I would try to not jump it as high as you were on the concrete though would definitely been that chassis again and some dog bones I've seen the dog bones Bend here and there as for the tires coming off their design so you can really crank down on those hexes and tighten them down all the way and it will not cause any restrictions what also like to see you take out the revo and the kraton at the same time and maybe do some comparison jumps I've got a couple of the Italians and absolutely love them the outcast is pretty wicked also hurry up and post some more videos of that kraton can't wait to check them out also if you're going to be launching those like that get some orange Tekno Springs will help stiffen up that suspension and not bottom out as bad
Aluminium chassis always bend in every rc car in the world. The worst and sensitive chassis i have bend very easy (crash on a bicycle) was my Kyosho mp 7.5 sports 4, very thin and light chassis. So the aluminium chassis is not for many and huge jumps. I was very sure that the chassis would bend before see the video, it's natural to bend because is a kind of metal. By the way the Kraton is a nice rc and because the chassis bend is not a reason to not buy it, it's 100% normal to bend because is aluminium and not plastic like Traxxas.
I have never bent a aluminum chassis. I own a 10 scales all the way up to 5th scales. I beat the brains out of my cars, and all the al chassis are still straight. Even my 5ive-t that fell 40ft straight on the back bumper is straight. I have snapped the chassis to every traxxas I have owned minus my xmaxx.

Kevin get some aluminum braces! They help prevent the chassis from flexing and bending. They’ve been great on my Kraton. Also that shock tower brace you mentioned seems like a good idea
I’ve never understood why people destroy their trucks on concrete skateparks. No Rc can handle concrete from 20’ up or at 20+ mph. They all break. Go to a bmx track or park with your ramps and send it. More fun, less breaking and cheaper in the long run

I had the same problems right out of the box lol my chassis is still straight but the body got messed up right away and I spun a hex so bad it melted through the rim. Also it has blown five differentials now, shredded three sets of tires and blown the steering servo.

Good durability test. Why always people have to go in brand wars? If you prefer one over the other, go ahead. Different price for cars, also for parts. So some car could be cheaper in parts if it brakes. When people mention Rich Duperbash important is that his jumping is much more different than Kevins. Further jumps require more speed. So if jump is high but with high speed, the landing impact should be less, than going high and almost straight down landing on flat. I might be wrong.
Mine was the same thing my body wouldn't fit the post any more then later I noticed the chassis was bent. One hell of a truck though. Mine is a outcast
This video is great I was looking at the arrma kraton and the E-Revo is looked nice and had the clipless body and the look a little bit more durable but all I have is problems with the metal link arms in the back keep on making the good videos

Get some trenchers they are great on truggies as u know on the revo
Start being smoother. Dont have to go full throttle at every jump to look cool sometimes it looks better to actually land on the landing ramp

Good durability test. Why always people have to go in brand wars? If you prefer one over the other, go ahead. Different price for cars, also for parts. So some car could be cheaper in parts if it brakes. When people mention Rich Duperbash important is that his jumping is much more different than Kevins. Further jumps require more speed. So if jump is high but with high speed, the landing impact should be less, than going high and almost straight down landing on flat. I might be wrong.

Mine was the same thing my body wouldn't fit the post any more then later I noticed the chassis was bent. One hell of a truck though. Mine is a outcast

Just got an arrma kraton 6s today but I can’t use it yet because the battery has yet to arrive it is torture
you really need to start to use those body white spacers on ur trucks. That will make the body's lats a lot longer, trust me...

This video is great I was looking at the arrma kraton and the E-Revo is looked nice and had the clipless body and the look a little bit more durable but all I have is problems with the metal link arms in the back keep on making the good videos
I have the same problem with mine wish they didn't have them, massive let down!
