Thank you for the video. Very useful. I have had the software upgrade for my GTN 750 installed a couple of days ago (V6.6) which enables VNAV for LNAV+V, which is all we have here in Australia. We have very few of these but more will be introduced over time.
I also have the Stec 55x installed. Unfortunately, no-one seems quite certain how or what the set-up is for the 55x to fly an LNAV+V, including the avionics guys who did the software upgrade!
I have not had an opportunity to get out to test the system, however I am assuming that the 55x is set up as if for an ILS. In other words, in NAV mode, Arm APPR and ALT. Question is what to do to bring up the GS on the PFD ... remain in GPS mode or set VLOC?
The supplement says that selecting VLOC will exclude GS capture. It's all very confusing. I appreciate any ideas you might have.
