Mushrooms did wonders in my life. I was severely traumatized years ago as a teenage, got diagnosed with cptsd. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

If you dry them properly, preferable in low owen heat, the ibotenic acid breaks down to form more muscimol. It's actually the ibotenic acid and not muscarine that makes you feel sick when the fresh or raw mushroom is consumed. Muscarine is present i A muscaria only in microscopic trace amounts, and does actually NOT contribute to the effects of A muscaria in any significant way.
Although very similar in molecular structure, Ibotenic acid and muscimol acts on the nervous system in two completely different ways. Ibotenic acid is a neurotoxin that over stimulates the glutamine receptors, leading to unpleasant effects such as nausea, vomiting, muscle twitching and possibly a delirium like state with mood swings, unpleasant hallucinations and anxiety attacks.
Muscimol on the other hand is not neurotoxic and acts mostly on the GABA receptors (GABA B receptors) and have no effect on the glutamine receptors at all. The properly dried mushroom, which contains only muscimol and no ibotenic acid, produces a much more pleasant, sedative, intoxicating and mildly psychedelic effect.
There is a myth about the vikings eating A muscaria before battle to make them go berzerk. But there is no evidence of that ever have happened at all. It was only a theory from the swedish 1700's historian Samuel Ödman, who proposed it COULD have been so.
What is true however, is that A muscaria has been used in shamanistic purposes rather extensively for thousands of years in some areas of the world. Such as parts of asia and even among some native tribes in north america. And it has also been used as an recreational intoxicant, for example in siberia, parts of asia and eastern europe. Some speculate that that the mysterious soma that is decribed i some old texts from india, actually is A Muscaria.

+Raggedy Hobo it is also the story of santa and presents. the suomi reindeer herders have a shaman who, like David said, dries them out. then in winter he climbs out of their tent dressed in red and white and collects the bag. climbs back down and hands them out. it's dangerous to piss when reindeer are about because they like to drink the drugged urine. it's filtered through the body. some cultures the shaman will eat the mushroom and everyone would drink his piss. supposed to be lovely lol
these mushrooms have a different experience to other magic mushrooms. each person has their own level of trip. I used to find these in England and I'd make a gravy and throw them in. I never thought I was tripping. I gave them to a guy and he went off his head. I'd eaten one bigger than the biggest on this show. no effect. once the mushroom is heated to 170 fh all the poison is rendered trippy. not as enjoyable as fairy caps.

    • @StopFear

Daniel Malmlöf Regardless of what you wrote I think it is pretty obvious common sense that it's best not to try eating them for any hallucinatory experience. Some people could have the knowledge of chemistry and biology and could hypothetically get a "safe" hallucinatory trip. But to be safe, just don't eat it and find some safer drug.

Its probably because of the patronising atiitude he adopts when talking about the widespread use of them amongst indigenous shamans and animists. British fairy tales (amongst many other cultures) have a wealth of knowledge with regard to the lore that was passed down from our ancestors. Fairy tales are not childrens stories but contain ancient lore couched in day to day stories. They had to be because of the murderous incursion of Abrahamism into Native European cultures.

It's the pine (or any conniferous tree). Especially in chalky lime areas. Ceps tend to hate alkaline soil. But pines where they grow shed needles and over time help convert the soil acidic (so iv been lead to believe) its why youll only tend to find ceps in chalk areas amoung pine. Fly agaric may just love the same soil conditions as the rare few times in come across them its been under pine in chalky areas. Annoyingly not found any ceps to date lol

The levels of muscarine found in A. muscaria are considered to be pharmacologically insignificant, the unpleasant effects from incorrect preparation are mostly from the ibotenic acid, which can be safely removed or converted to muscimol which is easier on the GI tract. Just for reference, the potentially deadly Fool’s Funnel contains up to around 1.6% muscarine by fresh weight, whereas the Fly Agaric contains only about 0.0003%.

We’ve had a prolific Amanita Muscaria season this year with the high humidity and all. I got 20 dried quarts put up. I don’t know why , heck it’s something to do ya know. To walk ,to hike, to scavenge and forage and hunt. I feel like the old witchy woman in a southern gothic novel. I tried the tea a few times. I’m a fan of the muscamole, but not so much the ibotenic acid. I recommend boiling 20 mins. And lots of research. It’s not Psilocybin. But it’s something else alright.
