    Informative. Not a lot of content talking about battery life and how to conserve it. I’m guilty of charging my battery 100% all the time. I really should stop doing that. So you said that you recommend charging your battery up to 100% when it’s between 80% to 20% correct? If so should i just not charge it to 100% unless i reach 20%?

      No worries we are all doing it. Yes so charge it to 80% most times but if you need to charge it to 100% I recommend doing it rarely to help preserve the battery. When using your battery try to not let it go below 20% this one is hard for me too.

    I do wish Super73 put more info out there about how to take care of the batteries, but being a Tesla owner, yeah, you generally don't want to charge to 100%, 70-90% daily would be optimal with 100% only for when you need it, and don't leave it at 100% for too long (take it for a ride asap if you have it at 100%).

    Why dont these chargers have features like the rc car chargers do? Storage mode balance charge, and discharge?

    • @overcast73rx55
      @overcast73rx55  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well that would be up to Super73 to design on their proprietary equipment. The BMS does some of that work as is.

    Do you have any recommendations for a battery that's going to be stored for 5 months? I'll be leaving it at a friends house so they can charge as needed.

      Yes of course, 45-60% run a little charge on it once a monthish no more then 3 months w/o a charge do not charge it past 80% while on leave. BOL2U.

    what type of Controller does the Super 73 RX USE? Would a Grinn Tech Phaserunner L2 be a good replacement?

      You could always try it. Super 73 uses proprietary equipment ;-)

    Hi there I been riding sg1 since last week and I charge them like twice a day or so. How do u get 80% since sg1 doesn’t show any percentages?? And I ride my bike up to 33km and then my battery light is at 2 lights. Don’t u think that my battery has some problems ??

      When you use the app it should show you the percentages of the batteries when they are charging. Further more you can open up the Dashboard and slide the information you want to see up to 3 tabs.

    Is it okay to charge it every day at 100 percent ?

      You can do that it just degrades the battery faster.

    Having some issues with my battery/charger. I charged up to 100%, used it for the majority of the day, when I went to go to charge it (the next day), the battery wasn't charging. The port and wires aren't damaged, and the bike battery was at 61%. I had to use it for work and now it's hovering around 22%, do you have any suggestions on what I can do? I've contacted Super73, but with COVID and the holidays, no response.

      Check your battery to make sure it's seeded properly then all cables, and if you have a voltage meter see if you have power running into the battery.

    In your opinion, if you're doing a 25 mile commute 5 days a week (50 mi round trip) would it be bad for the battery to charge to 100% daily.

    • @overcast73rx55
      @overcast73rx55  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes charging it 100% every time is going to affect the overall health of the battery. Here is a detail link from the University describing the information I propose in this video.

      @@overcast73rx55 Thanks for the response. I will take a look at the link. That's unfortunate to hear because I think I may need a full charge to make that 25 mile trip. I guess I could use pedal assist part of the way to balance things out
