It needs to be used more often and for different things. The owner doesn't especially want to monetize it, but there must be some way for it to be enjoyed on a regular basis.
I must be old. I remember when the Mobil stations looked like this. Same for the cars for the most part. The two Chevy's really bring back some good memories. Great job!
@@ride-ct-classiccars I seem to remember at least one of those around the Poulsbo/Bremerton (Washington State) area, but I can't recall the specific location. It was the kind of thing that grabs the attention of a small kid. I miss the old Richfield stations and their signage as well.
Looks like it'll make for another perfect place for classic and special interest car owners 🚗🚗⛽⛽to hang out and grab some good Four Brothers Pizza 🍕🍕🍕along the way!
@@ride-ct-classiccars Car spotting along that corridor has always been really good, for as long as I can remember. My friend and I actually saw that red roadster with the flames at Lebanon Valley back in May.
Remember those rubber hoses they stretched across the driveway? We used to jump up and down on em' and make the bell ring like crazy. My neighbor ratted us out to my Dad and my brother and me both got ten wacks with the ol' belt. Gotta love them good ole days.
Great story Bud, and thanks for featuring my '61 Impala!
Love it!!!
WOW! What a wonderful idea! Thanks for rescuing these old gas stations! And a great place to have car shows.

Great story
Thanks
Thanks for reading it.
Hey Bud, thanks for putting these videos together and posting them on TH-cam! Your voice and demeanor are perfect for this genre.
Thanks. Glad you enjoy them.
Very cool!!
Very.
That is so COOL! What a GREAT story. I got to get over there to check it out sometime. Thanks for sharing!
It's worth the trip.
Absolutely Beautiful. I had an Atlantic/ARCO station and looking at those gas pumps took me back to it. A lot of sweet memories. I think I’m crying.
Nice to see honesty there needs to be more retro looking colourful places around America everything is just gray and boring so far.
It sure is colorful.

I seem to recall as a kid a huge, illuminated "Flying Red Horse"sign on a gas station on Route 4 in Farmington. It really was an attention-getter.

I envision folks cruising between the two stations making Route 22 a place to regularly spot old cars...

Great idea!!!
Certainly is. Every time I pass an old, abandoned gas station now, I go "What if?"

Rob Cooper has one of those hoses at his gas station, but he hasn't installed it yet.
Go Sunoco 👍👍
I'm thinking a green Sinclair dinosaur would be eye-catching.
