At last a guy that has a collection that isn't rotting away in a field. I like that all of them are runners and not trailer queens. This is the kind of collection you can take out on the road and really enjoy owning instead of just staring at like museum pieces.

I "rescued" a '67 Travelall from a small town near me and put some work in to get it running and stopping. A 304 V8, Auto, 4x4 with the factory AC upgrade and a build sheet to show it was a true survivor. Same Apache Gold that this gentleman's is. Sold it to a local guy who was going to finish restoring it and drive it. So incredible how stout that 304 is and how darn good it ran even after sitting for over two decades.

Yeah, a Pontiac story! I also had a 77 Can Am. The scoop on the hood has "T/A 6.6" which is the Pontiac 400 motor. If the scoop has "6.6 litre", it is the 403 Oldsmobile motor (which you had to get in California).

Charlie is the real deal. The cars are great - and Charlie's stories BEHIND the stores are fascinating. At about 13:30, I could see a teal blue SunBIRD (convertible?) just in left of frame. I had a 1998 SunFIRE convertible - same blue, white top. I drove it 16 years, and I still miss it.

Thank you so much for making and sharing this video with us. I truly love these old classic cars and so thankful we have car clubs all over this country. At the end of the video when you both were talking about the older gentleman passing away and he said the man and his wife used that old truck on their first date, it brung tears to my eyes because i know how that is, it's True Love. Then shortly after he passes away. But before he passed he found another car guy or the perfect guy to cherish his baby before he left to the big car/truck garage in the sky. Share the Love, Love is the glue that holds everything together in our Universe. Ive said that for so many years an its catching on finally.

As I'm a car guy too, worked at Coggin Pontiac in Durham NC when I was 16 yrs old , I co chaired the Homecoming parade and organized the cars for the Homecoming Court at Durham High School my senior yr. I had a '73 Can Am in the lineup. It didn't have the shaker hood, had a 400 in it with an automatic. It was very different and it was the only non convertible car for the Homecoming court.
