Really nice. I was fond of service stations and oil company logos as a child. I miss the different looks and styles of company brand service stations back in the day. Every slight change that was made I instantly noticed it. Definitely a nice build. You did an excellent job.
That is awesome! My Dad worked for mobil almost 40 years and he would have loved this! Please post more videos when the interior is completed and anytime new additions occur.
Vary nice...i hope u restored the unground lifts. I resqud an old Rotary in ground old school Rotary single post lift.. I did a restoration to it it Sat over 40 yrs it was abandoned. Now back in loving service in my home garage. As part of my old school garage. As I start to collect stuff for my old school shop.love what u did...
If I owned that old station. I would restore the lifts at any costs..as well I had mine dug out , with the oil tank...as well. Pumped out the oil.. before anything..had the tank sandblasted clean as well as the outer piston casing , painted both..then rolled truck bed liner on it all..even the lock leg casing..a 3 mounths project..order a new piston seal from a company called S V I in DeKalb IL..they make and sell parts for all old inground lifts ..a new oil valve and a new air fill valve.. pls contac me if u have questoins my oil tank is now above ground..new piping all is coved in truck bed liner. For no rust out..this will complete your restoration. If u still have the superstuctor..on the top of your lift..
The owner has done a great job on the gas station. Might there soon be a second one with a different company's signage? That's what RIDE-CT is hearing.
Rob Cooper did a great job restoring this Mobil gas station. I wish it was near me so I could see it in person. Gas was probably about 25 cents per gallon back in 1957.
Having grown up during the '50s and having had a Mobil station as my dad's go to, I love this, plus I'd never known that the Pegasus always faced the rest rooms! Thank you Rob, next time through it's good to know that it is ok to take a shot of my Morgan next to the pumps!
Rob still has some work to do on the station. I'm now hearing another gas station recreation is in the works, Hope to have details maybe later in the week,
I hope u have the old air compressor.. American built. My dad had an old Phillips 66 station..he built in 1959 we owned until the end 1999. It was 5 bays it had a sailor - Buell air compressor built in st.johns , Mich..still in business.. I bought a new one for my home garage..and requed an vary old Rotary single post lift # FP 46 H mark 5 . I did a American restoration to it for less than a 1000 bucks ..found a company called SVI inc in DeKalb,IL. They make replacement parts .for all inground lifts ..my oil tank is above ground..for safety reasons..of course..as I'm Simi retired..from chicago.area now in FL.. my home garage is a replica of a service bay my dads shop...I love what u did..to this service station..I hope u also found an air pump.pls get to me if u have questions..I grew up in my dads station..I remember the smell of the place .etc

I just traded texts with the owner of the gas station. He says try contacting Dan Matthews who operates an authentication business that specializes in petroliana and automobilia. His email is danm@matthewsauctions.com and his number is 217-259-7059.
Great restoration job! I was born in 1955 and got to see this style of station as a kid before they started changing. An era gone by and missed.
Remember when gas stations had contests to lure pump traffic?
@@ride-ct-classiccars Yeah, and definitely remember when the ones in our small town would have price wars.
Nice restoration, brings back memories.
I'll definitely update the story when Rob Cooper completes the rehab.
Mr. Rob,
Awesome Mobil gas station.
Who likes petroliana as me that place is a paradise.
Congratulations

Hello from Finland. What a beutiful home. And good garace too. Old gas stations are always so beautiful if we compare them to the new ones.
How true! The retro gas station has become a real destination for classic car owners in the area...

This is fantastic! Been this way countless times over the years, but not lately. Hope I get to see it sometime.
There's no better time to visit than the present!

When I started driving a year later are last full service gas station shut down. They check the air and oil and filled the tank for you.
I always freak out when someone fills my tank in New Jersey.
Red is a very attractive color for cars.

Looks Great. I have three 1947 Chevy 3100 5 windows. Would love to stop by and meet you?
The owner invites folks to stop in and take pictures. He's now in the process of doing the inside of the station. Target for completion is spring.
I would defiantly stop if I was driving by.
It is certainly worth a visit. Many folks pull in to take pictures, and it's fine with the owner.
Nice
…and the owner has more plans for the future.
I’m came across a t-53 double sided Pegasus Sign would you know if there’s a way to tell if it’s authentic nice job job on the gas station
