The turning point of the day was Washington's delivery that got Ravindra. Ravindra won't get a better ball by a spinner in the rest of his career. The ball was glorious and had to be to get Ravindra out, otherwise he would probably have still been there at stumps 150 not out. One would assume normal service has resumed, and now that India will automatically get a 250 run lead and go on and win the match, however - hold tight... I thought the NZ bowlers were excellent in their short spell and India were lucky not to be three down. India better bat well on day two because the Kiwis will be all over them otherwise.
Very clear and concise description, made me excited for day 2!
Who is Yaswal? 0:11
Really appreciate the correct pronunciation of Pune at the start
The 2 spinners looked great in the last 4 overs because both Gill and jaiswal are not looking to score and looking to survive the day, that all changes when Gill starts rotating the strike and Jaiswal starts launching any bad ball into the stands.
True to a point. However, this is not an easy pitch to score quickly unless you are a genius like Ravindra. He is the best batsman (on form) at the moment in both sides and it took a delivery from Heaven to get him out. India try that tonky tonk long handle stuff they successfully (to a point successfully as they still lot the match) on a faster pitch in the first test, I can seem them getting bowled out for 150 tomorrow. They need to knuckle down and try for a 250 run lead - and that will mean periods of boring batting, and rightly so on this pitch.
Absolutely 💯... actually there are so many experts talking about that if gill, sarfaraz and pant scores well... they can make a good total...but i rate jaiswal very high when it coms to spinners specially...he also plays quicks really well but he is a kind batsman that you can't stop scoring runs against spinners...he has so many shots against spinners...if he plays patiently tomorrow he can score big...he is as good as rachin aginst spinners...solid defence...backfoot game as well...all kind of shots... aggressive game... hoping for a big score from him 🤞
@@mayankdwivedy.. He is indeed a very very good player. Kiwis will want to see the back of him quickly tomorrow.
Washington Sundar.....thala for a reason!😂
I think 259 is a decent score but they should have scored 350-400 batting first
7 wicket , gambhir will be angry with this no.
Ek chakke ne world cup nahi jitaya
Nz spin attack is extremely mediocre... Ajaz, santner are useless even on turners..... expect India to score atleast 400 on this pitch & nz to lose by an innings..... They're a mentally weak team
You are just talking partisan rubbish sorry. They are very, very good spinners. Mitchell has spent many seasons now in India, Ajaz will find his rhythm eventually and get back to that form that got him all 10 wickets in one test on a previous tour, and the 3rd spinner was good enough to get King Kohli out - Its ok to be an India Fanboy, but that doesn't mean I am not going to challenge you when you talk a load of rubbish, mate.
@@junk_rig_sailor1698 LoL .. they are rubbish mate.... you'll find out tmrw
@@amitm2692 Ok fanboy
@@amitm2692i agree with you... I've seen them in the match against srilanka this month... where the ball was turning too much...they were not able to take wickets... srilankan team score around 600+ and just lost 5 wickets...and then srilankan spinners took 20 wickets and nz team lost by an inning...but if they find rhythm and good line and length as well... it'll be very difficult for indian batsman to score run...i think jaiswal, pant , sarfaraz are really good players of spin...gill also can play a decent knock...virat kohli is struggling against Spinners since his downfall... hoping for a big score from jaiswal 🤞
@@junk_rig_sailor1698well it all depends on how india plays in first 1.5 hrs, if we don't lose much wickets then we can expect a attacking approach from them and once india does that don't think santner or ajaz ll trouble us that much.
Shot selection will be very important for us.
Lmfao
Even Sundar got wkts on these rank turners. Which shows how easy it has been for Ashwin over the years. Whenever the pitch is not a rank turner ( like in Bangalore) Ashwin looks totally ineffective. He's the most over rated spinner in history of cricket
The same comment everywhere? get a life buddy.
You don't even know what's rank turner is my guy also last year ash took 6 wickets against aus in ahemdabad test on flat deck so keep crying
Hate for Ashwin dumbs the brain cells in the long run 🙄 day one pitch. Fresh wicket. first three wickets were by Ashwin. Talking like it’s a dust bowl. It’s a dry pitch.
What did he do in Bangalore ? When the pitch was not a rank turner? How many wkts did he get on south African tour ? @@akshaypadmanabhan8582
@@akshaypadmanabhan8582India always make bad pitches after they lose the first test on a decent pitch ( where Ashwin is totally ineffective). Nothing new
