The season that we won the league we were not leaking goals. What I have realized this season is that the manager want to have a solid foundation. The team is trying its best to prevent counter attack by limiting the full backs from going up the field. I am even excited of the Arsenal game because they will want to stamp authority and we will take advantage of that

I don't think us old school Liverpool fans are getting carried away. I can see issues with the current team. There are some players who are not performing or the media hypes them up. What is apparent is that the defence, Virgil and Konate particularly, are immense. The organisation from Virgil. The physicality of Konate. Also Gravesen has been brilliant. All the forwards have moments of brilliance but also poor games. But the goals are being spread out. But the midfielders need to contribute more goals. Citeh are heavily reliant on Haaland. He's an amazing player and I've no doubt he overtakes Shearer as the top scorer in PL history if he stays. But that can only be a negative if he's not available. Or off form. Or they get kicked out of the league and he demands a transfer. Fingers crossed. Arsenal have some fantastic players and even if Liverpool beat them on Sunday, they will still recover.
The draw for the season is quite important, imagine if LFC had got a city, arsenal, Chelsea man U start and lost/drawn a few then the pressure on slott and the the confidence of the team might bring different consequences

I think Klopp has successfully planted mentality from doubter's to believer's to the player's, club's & fans. And adding that with some already brilliant players + a great tactical manager in Slot.. that's how we got to where we are rn..& hopefully we'll become better & better as this season goes 😊😊
He inherited a title challenging team and has had a handy schedule, teams should have taken points off them but they did what challengers do which is grind when not playing top so fair play
Liverpool and Slot are absolutely doing great so far but little worried about the small selection. A few injuries and they’ll miss quality on the bench. With so many difficult games to play, injuries will come.

The big difference when talking about Ange and Ole’s good starts is the level of the squad and players…Ange and Ole were always going to drop off because their squads were not full of world class or even top class players…Liverpool are full of international captains who have won major trophies…the Liverpool squad and mentality is LEVELS above anything Ange or Ole had at their disposal…if Arne Slot is a top manager then there’s no reason for them to drop off
I don't think us old school Liverpool fans are getting carried away. I can see issues with the current team. There are some players who are not performing or the media hypes them up. What is apparent is that the defence, Virgil and Konate particularly, are immense. The organisation from Virgil. The physicality of Konate. Also Gravesen has been brilliant. All the forwards have moments of brilliance but also poor games. But the goals are being spread out. But the midfielders need to contribute more goals. Citeh are heavily reliant on Haaland. He's an amazing player and I've no doubt he overtakes Shearer as the top scorer in PL history if he stays. But that can only be a negative if he's not available. Or off form. Or they get kicked out of the league and he demands a transfer. Fingers crossed. Arsenal have some fantastic players and even if Liverpool beat them on Sunday, they will still recover.

The draw for the season is quite important, imagine if LFC had got a city, arsenal, Chelsea man U start and lost/drawn a few then the pressure on slott and the the confidence of the team might bring different consequences
I genuinely think that if we get that DM and LB in January we’ll go on to win one of the big 2. We look like we have a few gears to go up still. The potential is scary with these new tactics. Very very happy with slot. He still needs to be backed with his own guys though. That’s very important.

He left because he's tired, regardless of City. I feel he wanted, deep down, to leave earlier, and signed an extension when he did partly out of obligation to his squad and the fanbase.
