Lancey Lance uhm fucking relax. First of all, you got the ABSOLUTELY WRONG ONE, both to try to convey that point to and the wrong person who said those words. The guy they caught in the sting who came up to have sex with girls quoted at 14-16 told the police that caught him, “I just wanted to make more friends.”
Second of all, no, clearly she was fucking underage and that is statutory rape. And she was raped initially.
I literally don’t care what your opinion is, don’t talk like she didn’t deserve help.
And if you could step out of victim blaming territory for one second, you’d realize the entire story is also bringing attention to Backpage.
Don’t try to hold a debate about it. Period. If your daughter went through this, whether she put herself in the situation or not, I’d expect you to be there for her. And if you won’t be? Don’t have kids.

While watching this video I just apologized to my dear departed Mother and Father.
What they must have went through not knowing what was happening to me breaks my heart.
my advice for parents of daughters is this; please talk WITH your daughters not AT them. And do it early , and often.
The trust & communication between girls and their parents MUST be established well before puberty happens.
I cannot believe how careless , defiant and naive I was , and so many like me.
I had great parents. I had depression though and never felt able to talk to them about it.
What they never knew was I had already been raped by the age of 13.
I never said a thing because I thought my Mom would be hysterical and that alone was something I felt I could not deal with.
And also I was afraid I'd get in trouble for being someplace I wasn't supposed to be.
      Trust is everything.
Children will not confide in you if you tend to overreact to everything.

@Scarlett MacLeod I've had a couple of friends, mostly girls, run away from home using that excuse. And the same thing happened with each of them. A month or two later, they call a family member or a friend, crying and shaking, begging them to take them home. They are all traumatized now and refuse to talk about anything that happened while they were away. I think it's time we start drilling into kid's heads that no matter how bad they think their family is, it's a million times better than what WILL happen to them if they run away.

The first time I was raped, it was by my husband (my then fiance). We were both virgins, and we tried to go all the way one night and it didn't work as I had thought. I asked him to stop, but he was much too into the mood. I learned at that point in time to just completely shut down and just accept whatever was happening to me. And this continued for ten years. I would fall asleep feeling just fine and wake up with him inside of me. For ten years. I was afraid to fall asleep. It led to years of insomnia and anxiety.
Being raped doesn't just hit a person and then gets better. It affects them for the rest of their life. Every little social interaction. Every slight change in routine. It all matters.

Farve4ever589 but it did have something to do with it. It was THE website that she was sold on. That is a very very important detail. Now on a different note, I was meaning say she was only on the streets and was with that pimp she wouldn’t have slept with those 150+ people. Didn’t you see the amount of people leaving messages, phone calls, voicemails just in half an hour only for the sting operation. There would be no way for her to sleep with that many people in the amount of time she had been on backpage if she had been on the street. It’s just that she would have to wait, then get picked up, then taken back, then give the money to the pimp, then go back to the streets. With backpage it was almost like a back to back schedule setup so she would be able to go straight to the next person’s location and repeat. That’s what I was trying to explain if that makes since

Catholic Priests may be Blamed (Never mention Ministers, Rabbis, Imams, and other denominations, whom, according to statistics, about equally prey upon young boys) (and to a much lesser extent, young girls!)
Teachers of course, are NOT to be considered too closely. Oh, sure, the occasional headline, but no Serious investigation! Arresting Teachers who Prey Upon Students would result in Significantly More benefit to Society than the negligible results we have achieved in 50 Years of Kabuki Theater against underage prostitution!
If for no other reason, a Teacher who has been convicted will have a Much tougher time getting back into a school. Pimps with criminal records are hardly at a disadvantage. Its also significantly more likely that a Student may be influenced to testify against a teacher, than a runaway prostitute. Both types of Girls and Boys are equally Children of God, however, street kids are Less Likely to Trust the System (even if for understandable reasons).

I used to run away all the time just because I'd had a stupid arguement with my mum or if I was in trouble at school. I realise now how lucky I was to have always been found by the police within 12 hours and taken home. Watching this I shudder to think what could've hapoened to me. I was 13 but looked about ten and was very naive due to my sheltered upbringing so I would've been easy pickings for these scumbags

The only relationships a older woman or man should have with a little boy or girl is them knowing each other by school like the elder person is a teacher and the younger one is a student, family members, or legit just that thing when you see them a lot but never ever speak to each other. Also the greatest relationship, hero and victim. The elder person is helping the younger one or the younger one helping the elder one.

I know a girl who was 15 at the time. Some guy in San Jose basically kidnapped her but when people tried to get her back home she claimed she was having fun & didn’t want to come home.
People in town ended up finding her page on back page. He had dressed her in lingerie and took photos of her and posted them on back page. About 2 months after that one of her friends came out and spilled everything on an ABC interview. That’s when everyone realized how serious it was & how she was being trafficked. It’s scary that I personally know someone who went through something like this. It just comes to show how common this is. & it’s scary. The girl ended up Coming back home only after that guy was arrested. He was a pimp & tattoo artist named sharkee who would do tattoos in a hotel room and pimp out teenage girls. So many people judge the girl that came out and did and interview with ABC because she giggled her way through the interview but I think it was just a coping mechanism for everything she went through and she was really brave to come out because it’s thanks to her that the pimp ended up in jail and a lot of girls were set free

I live in and am from Seattle Washington where this all happened/still happens. So depressing and disgusting how grown ass men can seriously try buying underage girls for their sexual desires. Sickening. I’m glad that her pimp got 26 years that’s what that maggot deserved!! Well, actually I believe he deserves longer but still at least he can’t hurt anymore people while he’s rotting in prison. I usually despise the police and cops in Washington as I’ve had a few bad encounters with them being unprofessional, harassing, lying, and using excessive force for a crime that had zero probable cause or witnesses. But seeing them work hard to try putting an end to child sex slaves makes me very proud of them. Good job Seattle Police Department!!!

Thank you! People saying it’s her fault but I’m so sure they didn’t even finish watching the video after they hear she had ran away. She was a minor and RAPED right away- she was left vulnerable and thought she made a friend who can help her until he betrayed her (yes she should have seen it but she was in a soft spot) he physically abused her and they are basically saying “oh why doesn’t the woman leave if her boyfriend hits her” there’s more psychology behind it and she needed him finically as well- if she didn’t pose for the photos she probably would have been beaten, it’s disgusting to see these comments

Corey Piening exactly. I've never met a 15 year old white girl who had agency.
Most adult women lack agency for Pete's sake..
Regardless of anything she may have said or done she couldn't have consented to anything as she legally didn't have agency as a minor over her sexual encounters with adults..
Scary thing is there are hundreds of men in the Seattle area that went to rape this young girl and saw she was being pimped and abused/held into bondage by a old black guy and none of them were willing to forgo their opportunity to rape a minor and get a nut off to save her from this situation.. And they are out walking around amongst civil society preying on the young innocent feeble minded children of America..
I swear if I ever caught one of these guys I'd make him pay in an extremely painful manner.. And would drag it out well beyond the point of him begging for death.

I went to high school in the late 1970s and as early as 8th or 9th grade we were shown graphic (for us, anyway) documentaries about drug addiction and the real life stories of addicts on the streets. It scared the crap out of us. This video should be shown in early-high school health classes today. I know kids are exposed to more today because of the internet, but they certainly aren't more mature because of it. Parents need to do everything they possibly can to show their kids the dangers out in the real world, and that NO, at 15 you don't have a clue how awful it can be out there on your own. Even if you do watch reality TV (which you don't even know is fake and scripted)!

Boy somebody here sure is naive. That is another story these people could be doing. Girls who don't need a pimp and not selling sex. girls who just are promiscuous and use social media to hook up with hot guys. Girls who have done every sexual act imaginable a multitude of times before turning 16. your clue should be all the tweeners who are dressing as if they are college-age at a club. Are they all going to do what I just described of course not. But many do. It used to be your daughter had to somehow get out of the house to Network and find partners. Now she has a smartphone in her hand toddler to do it easily.
