Great video. Also pretty good advice. Glad I ran across your channel as a newer player and dungeon master.

Once again, you are doing a great job with your videos. Easy to understand, easy to follow and the tales of Mr. Von Generic are simple yet effective tool to demonstrate what you mean.
Personally, what I struggle the most are the factial expressions and body language which would convey the character's internal feeling without saying them. [Although, I can work around it with the fact that I write in first person limited and my protag is perceptive by design, but still... It feels lame]

Thank you! And I get you one hundred percent with the body language thing--there are quite a lot, and some are more useful than others, but you don't want to overdo them.
Your head is in the right place already, though. Researching some body language tips or reading stories that use it a lot can help. I personally find a good tilt of the head for intrigue or confusion, or touching the ear to indicate anxiety (usually when lying) are two slightly less common but very useful ones.

@@J-Bat One of my bigest issue is, my native language has very little online presense. Especially, if it comes to descriptive writing. I usually use english sources, but a lot of english words do not directly translate to my language. In some aspect my native language is more flowery, but in others it is much more plain. So even when I know what they do, I cannot really write it down in short descriptive senteces.

Hey, new to your channel and greatly enjoying it.
I’ve been world building a large project for about a year, incorporating bits and pieces from concepts I’ve had since childhood, and always excited to see people share ideas for crafting and describing things.
It’s nice to see sound, smell, and taste hit on a bit more, something I always think of is how air itself often has a taste. The foul stench of a diesel choked tunnel, that leaves a burnt acid tang on the tongue, or the salty brine of the ocean, that you can taste on the breeze.
I subscribed. Do you have a discord?

Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yeah, those details can be really fun.
I don't have a Discord at the moment, but I certainly will, perhaps when we hit the 500 sub mark or some such number. Either way, I'll be sure to announce it whenever it is ready.
